As a Native Texan, I grew up with Jack in the Box. When I moved to DC 15 years ago, I was dismayed to learn that Jack isn't in the East Coast. That was...until I came to Charlotte for a conference. If you want an incompetent staff, come here. Jack in the Box is already a not so popular franchise compared to bigger names (McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Chick Fil A, etc) so they need to make up for it in customer service. They seem to always be understaffed and they always take the "fast" out of fast food. It's like the employees have to look at the ingredients and instructions for each meal while making it. You will wait. They also periodically forget part of your order. I once got breakfast and they forgot my orange juice and another time I got a combo....and they forgot the fries....not much to say about that. Otherwise the food is pretty decent. read more

I still consider myself a new Jack In the Box customer, since I'd never been to one until I moved to Charlotte. One thing that I noticed right away is that here they have a little bit of everything on the menu, salads, sandwiches, burgers and wraps. But I've found that I really enjoy their breakfast menu. Especially since they serve it all day! On this visit, I went with the Supreme croissant which has ham, bacon, egg, and cheese. I really enjoyed the sandwich! The croissant was flaky and fresh and they did not skimp on the toppings. My only request would be that they served crispy bacon on the sandwich!!! But other than that the sandwich is great! Another thing that I like about this place is that the food here is always hot since they generally prepare it as you order it. I don't mind waiting for freshly prepared, hot food! Overall, this place has good food at reasonable prices...I look forward to trying more goodies off the menu! read more

So....apparently this location is out of soft drinks. They are only offering milkshakes and ice coffee. Totally fine. I get we're in a whole global pandemic, but when you try to order a combo with a milkshake there's an up charge? When asked why would you up charge when you're out of soft drinks we were told "we ain't giving shakes away for free." Prepare to wait 45+ minutes in a fast food drive thru line because they only have one worker working at all times.

The location itself is a little hard to get to (why is Charlotte so full of medians?). The staff is generally pretty inattentive. Often, I have to go in and stand around for a while before anyone offers to get my order. Several times, I have asked for my order "for here" and received it "to go." They also run out of sweet tea a lot. Pros: At the end of the day, the food is tasty. And for some reason, this location is cheaper than the 10525 Mallard Creek Rd one. (The combo I usually get is 25 cents less here.) read more

In my neighborhood and easy access to drive thru. Love all the options and the new items that come out. Some are a hit with me. A few not so much, but that's what a menu is for....diversity. Quick service and hot and tasty.....not prepared and wrapped waiting on a sale. Always like the BOGO to help with budget. Not a fan of their fries, so I just get the sandwich. I live in Greensboro NC and wish we had a Jack in the Box is this area. When I lived in IL I would frequent one several times a week for the chicken fajita pita and their fries dipped in their buttermilk. Over the weekend my significant other and I decided to plan a trip to IKEA. My first plan was to find the closest Jack in the Box and add it to the GPS. Coming from Greensboro this was a very easy location to find. I had not been to one in over 15 years so I was surprised to see it was as clean as the one I remember in IL. I mentioned to the clerk I had not been to one in a long time and wanted the chicken fajita pita which used to be a #9, now a #13. I ordered it without onions and with the fries and buttermilk. The clerk said seeing me so happy made her day. I think I was so thrilled to be eating one of my favorite meals again. When the order came it was just as I remembered it! It was not one bit greasy and very fresh! I ate every bite with such pleasure! I highly recommend this location for the friendly and helpful staff, the clean interior, and also the best Jack in the Box food I can remember! Knowing it is about an hour away I need to make a few more trips there. I would highly recommend this location. read more

My first Jack in the Box East Coast sighting! I was thrilled to go and get my oh so favorite breakfast bowl. That was until I arrived and the menu was completely different than what I had remembered from the California Jack in the Boxes. If the food was more consistent with the west coast this place would be a 4 star easily. I stopped at Jack In the Box after a chill night out with a friend. The service was very fast and the staff were friendlier than I expected after midnight. I ordered a jalapeño burger and curly fries. The fries were fresh and hot. The burger did not disappoint either. We generally have lower expectations for fast food places but this experience was really good! read more

tried Jack's spicy chicken burger and chicken nuggets. burger was good but fries were cooked in very stinking oil.

(AVION was her name on the receipt) rudest people i have ever seen work a drive through and be so inconsiderate. we came from a concert, so we knew it would be somewhat busy, but there were a solid 5 cars in line, and we waited for an hour. a mother and 3 kids, just hungry and wanting something to eat. we had never been to jack in the box, but we were so hungry we would settle for anything at that point. we finally get ready to order, and we ordered 3 burgers, 2 orders of curly fries, 4 drinks, mini tacos, and an egg roll. like i said, we were hungry. not only did the employee not repeat our order back to us, but gave us no clarity on what came in the combos even when we asked politely. it was almost as if we were a nuisance to her. we ordered the mini tacos and she mumbled something then we asked her to repeat herself, and she sighed and mumbled something about a combo, and we said we just wanted 1 order of mini tacos. we finally complete our order, get to the window, pay, and we realize we've been charged for two orders of not only the mini tacos, but the spicy ones. at that point it was 1am, and nobody wants spicy mini tacos at that hour. we tell her we only ordered one order of the mini tacos, and not the spicy ones. she scoffed and asked us if we wanted a refund, we said yes, and offered her the food. she said no, due to covid, and we understood that. we didn't wanna ask for new mini tacos because we were so tired and hungry at that point. before she gave us the refund she turns around towards her coworkers and yells WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE TONIGHT?! so unprofessional. this is your job, i understand you may not like it because it's fast food, but that is no excuse to treat people like dirt. much less a mom and kids, who gave you no attitude and were just sleepy and wanted some food. be better. read more

Being from Arizona and working in Southern California I grew up eating Jack in the Box. Too bad Virginia doesn't have them! Anyway, I already knew some cities in North Carolina have my favorite fast food restaurant! So, I purposely planned my road trip route just to get my Jack in the Box fix! Ordered a couple of Meat Lovers breakfast burrito's (with no egg, of course) and a good ol' Jumbo Jack with cheese. Customer service was great and so was the food! I didn't catch the employees name- but talk about rude. We had 4 meals and received a wrong item on one. Instead of curly fries we were given onion rings. When we told him we received the wrong item he told us that's what we ordered. First of all, all four of us were standing there and heard curly fries. The person the curly fries were for does not like onion rings. Second of all, when you are the one that made the mistake you don't walk over to the table and question which order it was for then say "you don't know what you ordered" then take away the wrong item given. At that point, claim your wrong doing and leave it as a gesture of fault. We told him to leave it and we would pay for the curly fries. He didn't argue, but didn't offer any apologies. He didnt offer to replace the item for free. The customer may not always be right, but when they are, claim your wrong doing and don't be an ass about it. I really tried to like this place. A couple months ago I tried Jack in a Box for the first time because they sent me a free birthday dessert. After that, we kept receiving emails from them on their specials and we decided to try some of their deals. We tried the late night munchies deal and that was a disaster. The burgers had no flavor and they were poorly put together, the tacos are as flat as a sheet and the shells taste stale. The only thing I liked from the box was the French fries. We thought that the poor quality of the food was just because it was a late night special so we gave jack in a box another chance. A couple days later we tried one of their barbecue signature burgers, it was also disappointing. It tasted like someone took a cold patty and dipped it in BBQ sauce before they served it in a bun. I try to stay away from jack in a box because I have not been pleased with the quality. read more
