Jack In The Box, Commerce City, CO

After waiting for several months JACK IN THE BOX in Commerce City, CO is finally OPENED for business!! YES! YES! YES! We went here for lunch on Tuesday JUNE 30th 2009 after running some errands in this part of the neighborhood. That was what Hubs was eyeing this couple of months and finally get to eat at this Jack In The Box located in Commerce City. I cant deny, the location of this Jack In The Box is "not condusive" since one is small, two has small parking space and you get to fight with other Fast Food restaurants located all around. I bet those who go to Jack In The Box, are majority transplants of California or simply just love Jack In The Box, like how I am beginning to like it eversince marrying Hubs who is from California. This time around I ordered the Steak Teriyaki Bowl with Seasoned Curly Fries while Hubs ordered the Sirlon Swiss and Grilled Onion Burger with fries and drinks. The Steak Teriyaki Bowl is quite salty to my taste bud though I cant deny it can be filling with the Seasoned Curly Fries. I like it when I can have my Seasoned Curly Fries piping hot and crispy. Nevertheless, both Hubs and I are happy at least they have one in Commerce City near to Stapleton area like 10 to 15 mins drive away from home. It's been many years since I last went to Las Margs. I used to go pretty often, but there was this…read moreguy who worked there, who was always rather pompous, I always assumed he was the owner. It soured me on the place, so I just stopped going. But recently, a coworker suggested we get lunch there, and I figured it had been long enough to try it again. I'm really happy I did. The vibe is great, sort of a sports bar feel but with a Mexican twist, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I got the Reunion Combo, and it was a ton of food. It had a chicken tamale and a crispy relleno covered in this really tasty pork green chile, a red chile cheese enchilada, and a ground beef crispy taco. Everything was delicious, and the plate was huge. I definitely felt like I got what I paid for with the meal. The only thing I didn't like was the $4 ice tea. It kind of feels like a cheap way to make the bill bigger at the end, but honestly, the food and the better service made it worth it. I'm glad to have this spot back on my list for lunch in Commerce City.

I got an Enchilada, which came with beans and rice. I was happy to see my order was smothered, although I do wish my portion was bigger, it was pretty filling!

Reclaimed metal sheet walls, concrete floor, a nice looking bar and good 80s/90s music piping in. The menu offers many taco options, which you purchase a la carte. I took a risk and got the ahi tuna taco, and a steak fajita taco. Both were good - but I was most impressed with the Ahi. It was better than the sushi I have had at a sushi restaurant since moving here to CO. Nice Asian sauce with sesame seeds throughout. Super good. It's light, though. It is in a butter lettuce "taco shell", but honestly I think putting it in a true corn or flour tortilla just would not mesh well. The service was very very pleasant and attentive. We even had to move a couple times because our party number kept changing, and she was as pleasant as can be. I look forward to heading back and trying something else. Co-workers tell me you really can't have a bad taco there, and I think I might challenge that notion and find out for myself! Cheers!

We didn't have to wait too long which was great. I do wish my order in came on a plate instead of a takeout box, and we had silverware when ordering in instead of plastic one use forks, but the taste was delicious and the service was good otherwise. The place is very bright, and I feel like the ambiance would be better of the overhead lights weren't so intense, but that's a personal preference

Simply, you will not find a satisfying breakfast burrito at this price! Burrito is 8" long, 3" wide, and 3" thick (see photos because some reviews try to misrepresent the size). HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Green Chile - Pint ($6.00). Come on! Look at the thickness of this green chile! Just order it!
