Today my daughter her husband and babies got stranded coming from Corpus. Their car broke down on the side of the freeway I drove from San Antonio they had been under the bridge for 3 hours. we pulled over at Jack in the box #4729 and we were blessed to get the greatest customer service from Sharon P. The service at this location #4729 is absolutely atrocious. From the moment we were greeted with a lackadaisical hello, it all went downhill from there. After ordering we waited more than 30 minutes before we finally decided the wait wasn't worth any of our time or effort and certainly not the food. The food sat out for over 15 minutes under warming light. While we waited, another party came in and ordered and was almost served before us. The bag they were given had one of our sandwiches in it. But they would have never known if we hadn't intervened. Eventually we asked for a refund and got our food at McDonald's down the street. First, The Drive thru is slow slow but the employee was nice and order was just like I asked for. Grilled chicken on sourdough is very tasty. Went there a third time asked for the same grilled chicken sandwich dry, no mayonnaise and all I got was bread and meat. You can see my pictures and I ordered them both dry at different visits. Honestly the worst place to go. I do not in anyway shape or form recommend this jack in the box. I can not believe they serve the food they do. We ordered the popcorn chicken box and the fries were disgusting and soggy with old food that was black in it. I don't even want to know when was the last time they changed the oil. #31-2016: Is Jack In The Box what I would normally choose? Most likely not. However, this fast food was conveniently located across the street from the hotel we were staying at during one of our stays in Corpus and, one lazy day we decided to reach our food "within walking distance". Empty upon arrival, staff was amicable and in no rush. The food we chose was promptly fixed and delivered in to-go bags. I just fundamentally am not a major Jack-supporter. However, if you find yourself on the way to S. Antonio from Corpus and suddenly get a craving for food and find yourself close to this joint, why not stop for convenient fast food? I visited at around midnight to get a late supper for myself and great grandson, he wanted a burger and I wanted egg rolls. I often visit this location but during the day (late afternoonish) Well I asked for 2 packets of sweet sour sauce for each egg roll, well you would think I had said "this is a hold up" the lady told me politely that I was being unreasonable, I asked surprised "really?" then she stated the ration policy for condiments, how much ketchup, how much mustard etc and said for my order of 9 egg rolls I was only entitled to 2 packs of sweet sour sauce. I said you would really rather lose me as a customer over condiments, she said yes so I left and will never go back. I am sure they could care less but I have never been told how much salt, pepper, ketchup etc each order was allowed??? I may be wrong but if I do not want the food (not enough whatever) I will go elsewhere which is the case. End of the story my great grandson had a double quarter pound McD's and I had a Taco Bell Taco / Burrito combo. read more

We stopped in this location for lunch on our way back to San Antonio. We ordered the food to go and while the order was correct, the quality of the food was not. We ordered a burger and a Southwest Chicken Salad. The burger was okay but he salad was totally inedible. The greens were brown, soggy/watery and it smelled funny. It was the grossest salad I have ever ordered. While they may be prepackaged, quality control should be a priority. Also, the cashier was unprofessional in the way she talked to us. I took my wife and my two kids to this location about a month ago, we were all excited to try the new buttery jack. Go in and my daughter has to go to the restroom so my wife took her. She came back and said that the bathroom was filthy no toilet paper or soap. So we start to order and the manager looks very impatient like we are wasting her time even though there was no one at the drive thru or in the dining area. We tell her we would like the buttery jacks and she says they dont have the buns for them. So we order something else and ask for the curly fries she says we dont have those either. So we left. I contact customer service and am told that i will receive the next visit for free. Awesome way to turn a bad experience around. Two weeks go by and i receive two certificates for 1 single menu item. Wait what? How are two single menu items supposed to feed a family of four? Way to live up to your word Jack customer service. When i contact them about this I get no reply.
