I've been to this jack in the box multiple times prior to this experience and each time has always either been fast or slow. It's odd how this changes but I'm guessing it comes from being understaffed. Now onto the food! If you need a quick bite to eat or some cheap food then I would recommend passing by Jack in the box. I got the crispy chicken strips with regular fries. The curly fries are also amazing, but I wasn't feeling it today! The chicken strips were fried well and the fries weren't fresh out of the fryer. Nothing was over fried so that was a nice thing for me. Overall jack in the box serves as a quick bite to eat for anyone in a hurry. I wouldn't expect quality, but do expect quantity. Extremely disappointing customer service at the Jack in the Box in Golden. I stopped in intending to order lunch, but first asked to use the restroom. I explained that I was planning to purchase a meal and simply needed to use the restroom before placing my order. The employee who spoke to me appeared to be a teenage boy (African-American/Hispanic) and was working at the front counter during the August 17th around 2:30pm. Instead of politely explaining the restroom policy, he repeatedly told me that I could not use it unless I paid for something first. I explained that I was going to eat there but needed to use the restroom before my meal. His tone was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. When I asked what he wanted me to order, he said, "Anything you want," but continued acting as though my request was unreasonable. A restroom policy is one thing, but there is no excuse for treating a potential customer with such disrespect. I work at Home Depot in the same parking lot, along with many other associates. Jack in the Box is one of the only nearby options for us to grab food during a break or after work, so the way customers are treated here matters. I will make sure my coworkers are aware of the disrespectful and horrible customer service I experienced so they can make informed choices about where to spend their money. Management should be able to identify the employee working the front register during that shift and address how this interaction was handled. Horrible staff and management. My car does not reverse and I attempted to go here for lunch, they had both the drive thru and passing lanes blocked with a vehicle and refused to move it. I had to drive over the curb to pass it and risk bottoming out my car. These retards need to understand passing lanes and DRIVE THRU CLOSED signs exist for a reason. I got the 2 for $3 junior chicken sandwich available in the app. The sandwiches were served fresh and hot. Kind of hidden but it's in Golden. When we carpool to go snowboarding we'll leave our cars in the Home Depot lot. It's early and you want something to eat or coffee so you wander of here. All of the customer service reviews for this place are concerning. On my visits it's been the usual Jack in the Box experience. Not terribly nice but nothing compared to the two star reviews. Maybe morning shift is easier and the staff are more experienced? Unlike other local Jack's this location makes regular use of the fireplace. Fancy! Drive thru is open late. Breakfast is also served all day. Otherwise it's fast food but a nice change from Burger King, McDonalds, Taco Bell, or Wendy's. Love it or hate it, you get what you pay for. Up on the plateau I'm surprised you don't eat at one of the three restaurants fifty feet down the hill. read more

What a joke. Avoid this Jack in the Box if at all possible. I just picked up supper here after a horrible day. I just wanted some good junk food after a bad day and missing lunch. I should have known when it came out so quick. I ordered a large seasoned curly fries and when I got home literally 3 minutes away they were cold and stale. They must have just taken what had been cooked long ago but there wasn't enough to fill the order so they put cold stale regular fries in the bottom of the box to make it look like a full order of curly fries. The bacon swiss burger must have also been old and just thrown in the microwave with bacon that was cooked no telling how long ago. It was like shoe leather. My wife's tacos were also extremely stale. I believe this is the worst Jack in the Box meal I have ever had. They have no quality control or desire to put out a good product. Do not come to this location and expect to get the right order. I waited a while for my food in the lobby then when I got home the bag had not a single item I ordered. The only thing they got right was handing me a drink cup. I ordered over $50 in burgers, chicken, and fries. I got home with a bag of tacos and egg rolls!! Not even close, then when I brought my order back in after a disconnected phone call with the woman at the counter I was told, "you probably took the wrong bag". We went to this lcation at 10:30 on a Monday night. We sat in the fully lit drive thru for 15 minutes behind another waiting vehicle. There were two employees out back chatting (in a direct sight line from the drive thru) who neglected to mention to either of the waiting vehicles they were closed. Finally after getting frustrated we yelled out to the employees asking if they were open and one shouted back -" no we are closed" and he went back to chatting. 1. If you're closed - please turn off the lights or have a closed sign. 2. Post the correct hours on the internet. Both Google and Yelp are wrong. 2. Please hire employees with enough common decency to NOT allow two vehicles full of hungry patrons sit around waiting for such a long time. It's simply rude. I also want to point out... All of this is in STARK contrast to the location at 1-70 and Kipling where all of the employees are friendly and helpful and the food it always delicious. I stopped by on Sunday, May 9th and bought some tacos. I ate 2 tacos. I started having really bad stomach ache Monday and it has continually gotten worse. I finally had a consultation with a doctor today and it is food poisoning. 3 days later I still feel horrible. I called Jack in the Box today and spoke to the Manager Eddie. She apologized but made lots of excuses about it being my system not wanting to eat the hot taco with the cold lettuce. There was no line and I drove to the window and they handed me the food. I hadn't had a Jack in the Box before so I had hopes that it might be a slight level above the other big burger places everyone knows. Instead I was surprised that this location can stay in existence. In business there is a offer of choice: Good, Fast or Cheap. . .Pick one (as the other two won't follow). We ordered three lunches of "Big Jack", beverage and fries.We requested no cheese on two of the Big Jacks, two regular fries and one curly fries. Ice tea, diet coke/pepsi and a strawberry shake. The Total tab was $21.50 or so. The burgers were barely acceptable as though they had been slapped together carelessly. Two HAD cheese not one. The service was painfully slow, the order taker impatient and overall the question that came to mind was, "How do these guys stay in business?" Nothing was GOOD, nothing was FAST, nothing was CHEAP. So I went there on a Friday night with a friend and her daughter, and we were absolutely stunned at the delay. I ordered from the kiosk and she ordered at the counter as an experiment to see who would get their food faster. The surprise answer was neither of us. There were 6 teenage kids in the kitchen. There were no other patrons before, during our order, or after our order for about another 10 minutes, yet it took them 20 minutes to get our order ready. Unfricking believable. I was keeping my eye on the drive through too, I think they only had 3 normal size orders during this time. They seemed to be walking around in chaos, losing orders, and not that many to lose. It was crystal clear the manager was nowhere in sight. It was also VERY telling that a previous patron that had been waiting, right as we were finishing placing our order, came up and grumpily asked them when the order would be ready...who knows how long he and his wife were waiting. We then saw a whole big group come in, and they also were ALL made to wait for long periods for their orders. HELLO MANAGER. If you slack off and don't show up for YOUR shift, you will lose customers like crazy. You OBVIOUSLY didn't train your staff BEFORE you took the night off. Screw you. read more

Sorry to say that this place is not one I can recommend at all. I live in the Golden area, so I have received their mail out coupons many times. On at least three occasions I have taken them up on their offers of buy one get one free, etc. Each time I have gone here, the service has been fine, and I went through the drive thru in a short time, with no problems. However, the food is honestly among the worst I have had at any fast food restaurant. It tastes very bland, it is not satisfying and it just doesn't live up to the photos on their coupons, which make the hamburgers and chicken sandwiches look so good. And the french fries are about as synthetic as they come. They are not made from 100% potatoes, they are like some other places such as Burger King, where they take some potatoes and add binders and fillers and other gunk and form them into something which looks like french fries. The end result is an almost completely tasteless bag of "pseudo taters" with salt on them. I have given this place multiple chances to come through with tasty food and it just hasn't happened for me. I just received another set of coupons in the mail last week, and this time I didn't take the bait. Sorry, but those full color photos of scrumptious looking food won't lure me back again. I know it's only fast food, but there are quite a few places that sell burgers and such that at least serve something that tastes good and satisfies you in a way that makes taking the plunge into junk food worthwhile. Oh man, I can't truly express how glad I am Jack In the Box is back in Golden. Probably my second favorite fast food restaurant behind In-N-Out, which is saying something, and since they're not out in CO yet JitB wins my fast food allegiance. Best things about the place have to be the kickin' dollar menu (2 tacos so delicious), the sourdough jack (why do more fast food places not use sourdough bread? it's the best bread ever!), and the curly fries (omg the curly fries). Lines are mostly short and move quick. And it's open super late for when it's 1AM and I'm hungry. There's even a gas fireplace in the restaurant! It has issues, of course. The bacon's usually pretty limp, everything's greasy, and their healthy options are somewhat limited, but this is no different from just about any other fast food chain out there (again, In-N-Out excepted). This is your standard fare Jack in the Box. I remember just standing at the counter waiting to be serviced. The employee went to the opposite end cashier and stared at me. I've never seen such subtle bad customer service. I've also seen this place close randomly a couple days for seemingly no reason. It's such a darn shame because the interior design is so aesthetically pleasing. Looks like my experience was different than many others. Hit the restaurant with a buddy at 1245p on Thursday. The place was virtually empty, three tables were occupied. We ordered, got our drinks and ketchup, and our order was ready before I was able to find a table. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with curly fries. My buddy some kind of burger concoction. Both of us found our meals enjoyable. The place was clean - no dirty tables, restrooms in good shape, and the floor was spotless. I think our meal was right around $15, not bad, and pretty much what I expect to pay at a burger joint.
