Normally I don't consider fast food restaurants to be 5 star experiences, but had to recognize this one in Lost Hills, near the gas stations off I-5. It was a very hot day and we arrived around 6 PM, placing an order online. My husband had an issue with the app where it accidentally added and charged him for TWO duplicate items - not sure if it was due to poor Internet or what. Hubby went inside immediately and the one gentleman working tonight (Monday night 8/3/26) was able to fix the problem and cancel that extra item. Additionally, kudos to the same worker as he seemed to be the only one working the cashier and drive thru AND preparing the food! And all the food we received through the drive thru was delicious! Hot and freshly prepared - loved the fries especially! And didn't take long (there was no line inside nor at the drive-thru when we visited). Would visit again! And please give that hard working gentleman a raise! read more

I would not consider this fast food. This is one of the slowest "fast food" joints I've been to and from looking at other reviews, others would agree. The dining area is dirty and doesn't appear to be wiped down often. The garbage cans were full and there wasn't many people inside eating so I'm not sure how much time passed since the last cleaning. I'd recommend a different fast food nearby. The lady working was taking orders from the bathroom on her headset which also made me feel uncomfortable using the facilities. read more

As this Jack in the Box is off highway 5, I ended up driving about 15 minutes out and realizing I didn't get my milkshake.. to top it off I ordered through the drive through and had to park in the front and wait additional time for a lady to bring out the food. read more

Do not order mobile order here. It gets completely ignored despite order saying complete. The ladies working keep saying one minute then prioritizing the drive through and the orders in person. The guy with long hair at the drive thru is goated. Food was great and my whole party of 5 were grateful of the service provided!

The floors are so disgusting...actually trash and dried soda that looks like it has been there 3 months. At the table, there were specks of gross dried food on the wall divider. Bathroom was equally as vile. I am unsure how the workers wash their hands because there was virtually no water coming out of the water faucet. I was so nervous about food poisoning, I could only eat a few bites of the disgusting food because it tasted off, I just threw it out. I regularly eat at Jack In The Box, but in bigger cities with no issues. I have NOW vowed to never to eat on road trips at Jack In The Box anymore because of this gross food experience. Made the stop to Jack In The Box while we were en route back to San Jose. The establishment was a ghost town but that isn't uncommon when it comes to these fast food joints located in these areas. The menu offerings was just like any other JITB, the dining area was spacious + clean, and the food provided was fresh/hot. With that said, the customer service wasn't the friendliest, the bathrooms were dirty, and they literally charge you for every little thing!! 3 stars overall. I didn't have the greatest experience but it wasn't necessarily bad. Tbh, after reading the reviews I'm thankful it wasn't worst. Lmao!! Let face it we were big game hunting. With our favorite divey taco truck MIA during this stop for gas, we made lemons from lemonade and lured in by the promise of Angry Monster Tacos at JITB we did not hesitate. My traditional ode to JITB tacos is pasted below but the angry ones basically take it up a notch with a spicy shell. Aside from that they are a bit of treat as they are no longer (at least in monster size) on the menu Why the fixation on the taco's? allow me to explain (This ode to the greatness of JITB Tacos is shamelessly lifted from my other review) "a legion of fans who swear by the greasy vessels even as they sometimes struggle to understand their appeal" Wall Street Journal article talking about the JITB Tacos Alright its time for a true confession. We all have that one shameful thing we love to eat that we don't talk about very much. In my case its the tacos at JITB. We were a JITB family growing up. I think it was in part because the McDonalds was a town over IMHO and my parents did not want to drive that far for equally mediocre food. . But it was our go to fast food place. We ate frings, we survived the Pita Pocket, heck we looked the other way when they were owned by a dog food company (Purina), we endured the loss and triumphant return of Jack, and despite the changes, despite them actually killing people with an ecoli outbreak, we stayed loyal to the tacos. I have no idea what exactly binds them to me as if it was the ring and I was Gollum. Is it the half slice of American cheese that ratchets up the authenticity factor? Is that meat and bean mixture that is mostly bean and something that if you are lucky, ground up circus animal? Is the overly processed corn tortilla that is fried from whatever huge factory its assembled in and then fried again at the location? Is the lettuce that was shredded sometime in the last moon phase? Is the taco sauce that we used to use to remove the tarnish from pennies? Is it the fact that you can get two of the suckers for 99 cents? Or that it has a bigger version aka The Monster Taco which has two YES TWO half slices of American cheese? lastly is it that after the taco you can tear the wrapper open and eat the fallen lettuce and sauce mixture like some kind of bizarre salad? Bows head in shame.......... YES all of that!!! I love them and I am powerless over them. This Jack in the Box has seen better days. On this visit we found the dining room to be somewhat dirty and the restrooms were a complete mess. The floors had toilet paper littered throughout, the floors wet with pee, and no paper towels or dryer to dry hands. To top it off, no soap. The ice machine was broken and service was very slow. We ordered chicken strips, the 3 piece meal at nearly $12 each and although the fries were hot and crispy, the chicken was dry. The place used to be good. What happened? Employees making over $20 an hour should at least check and clean the restrooms and keep the dining area clean. Show some pride. Customers deserve better. read more

Worst Jack In The Box I've ever been to. Paid $16.22 for a regular size meal. Ask for a ranch sauce for my curly fries. Guy said I needed to pay extra just for a sauce. Not an extra sauce, just one sauce. He said that's the company policy, no sauce. I said every other jack I go to I get one sauce. If you don't get sauce, why don't they tell you when you're ordered. You have to search pretty hard to find a worse Jack in the Box than this one. After buying something, when asking if I could use the bathroom, the girl at the register said they just cleaned it so they didn't want anyone going in in case it's wet. I asked how long it would be until we could use it; she just laughed and said she didn't know. Nothing else. Another customer asked the same question more aggressively, and she said she doesn't know and someone would have to check. She didn't actually ask anyone though so the other customer asked a manager who told someone to go look. A younger guy opened the door for the customer and let him in; I asked if I could use the other bathroom; he didn't even look at me, said the door code, and walked away. Where do they hire these people from? Prisons? How was your day going? What can I get started for? You just snappy rude and to the point no kind customer service didn't know what was on their own menu not to mention slow responses. Locked bathrooms, inept counter person up charged attempted twice on my bill. Pure chaos but food was ok.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way home from wine country. We had to fill up , use the restroom , and figured this would be a decent place to get a burger . At 2:00pm the inside was packed. We ordered two burgers, two tacos, one fry, and one soda. This took 30 minutes to prepare ! I understand they are busy but wow. They have one drink machine , it's the fancy one where you push buttons to customize your soda. This isn't too practical since only one drink can be done at a time and the older crowd seemed confused on how to use it. As we were waiting for our order, some kids were playing with it and almost broke the darn thing. Great parenting ..... The restroom needed a lot of TLC, see my attached picture. I would not have used the facility If I didn't have to pee so bad. Darn road trip. I had to clean the area before I went, if you know what I mean. The food itself was fine, though after I am reading these reviews I'm hoping the staff were following food preparation code.
