Why the heck is the sauce container - and an iced black coffee lid - sticky?! -----------------/------------- Felt guilty and decided to buy something after kids had to use their bathroom - big mistake! This place was disgusting - the sauce container was sticky. Maybe old oil. Why?! - the lid to the iced black coffee was sticky. Again, WHY?! It was black no sugar - the tiny tacos were burnt into a crisp. Which I guess was the point? Probably would have fared better at the denny's across the street

Made the stop to Jack In The Box while we were en route back to San Jose. The establishment was a ghost town but that isn't uncommon when it comes to these fast food joints located in these areas. The menu offerings was just like any other JITB, the dining area was spacious + clean, and the food provided was fresh/hot. With that said, the customer service wasn't the friendliest, the bathrooms were dirty, and they literally charge you for every little thing!! 3 stars overall. I didn't have the greatest experience but it wasn't necessarily bad. Tbh, after reading the reviews I'm thankful it wasn't worst. Lmao!! The employees could use a refresh course in proper customer service & with the place being so slow the staff should focus on the filthy restrooms.

Omg!! What a very experience, I'm traveling with my kids and my boyfriend. We stop to get something to eat, very tired expecting someone to take our order and we had to wait 10 mins to take our order , they were very rude , she just told us to order on the screen and she walked away. I don't recommend this spot AT ALL!! Also we try to get soda and all sodas are out! Missing fries as well

Let face it we were big game hunting. With our favorite divey taco truck MIA during this stop for gas, we made lemons from lemonade and lured in by the promise of Angry Monster Tacos at JITB we did not hesitate. My traditional ode to JITB tacos is pasted below but the angry ones basically take it up a notch with a spicy shell. Aside from that they are a bit of treat as they are no longer (at least in monster size) on the menu Why the fixation on the taco's? allow me to explain (This ode to the greatness of JITB Tacos is shamelessly lifted from my other review) "a legion of fans who swear by the greasy vessels even as they sometimes struggle to understand their appeal" Wall Street Journal article talking about the JITB Tacos Alright its time for a true confession. We all have that one shameful thing we love to eat that we don't talk about very much. In my case its the tacos at JITB. We were a JITB family growing up. I think it was in part because the McDonalds was a town over IMHO and my parents did not want to drive that far for equally mediocre food. . But it was our go to fast food place. We ate frings, we survived the Pita Pocket, heck we looked the other way when they were owned by a dog food company (Purina), we endured the loss and triumphant return of Jack, and despite the changes, despite them actually killing people with an ecoli outbreak, we stayed loyal to the tacos. I have no idea what exactly binds them to me as if it was the ring and I was Gollum. Is it the half slice of American cheese that ratchets up the authenticity factor? Is that meat and bean mixture that is mostly bean and something that if you are lucky, ground up circus animal? Is the overly processed corn tortilla that is fried from whatever huge factory its assembled in and then fried again at the location? Is the lettuce that was shredded sometime in the last moon phase? Is the taco sauce that we used to use to remove the tarnish from pennies? Is it the fact that you can get two of the suckers for 99 cents? Or that it has a bigger version aka The Monster Taco which has two YES TWO half slices of American cheese? lastly is it that after the taco you can tear the wrapper open and eat the fallen lettuce and sauce mixture like some kind of bizarre salad? Bows head in shame.......... YES all of that!!! I love them and I am powerless over them. I know right now many of you are judging, but I'm in good company here with notables like Tom Hanks, Chelsea Handler, Selena Gomez, and Chrissy Teigen. Take that haters!!!

Personally, I would stay away if you enjoy good service. The cashier, Allayah, couldn't crack a smile and looked at us like we were paint drying on a wall. As we were ordering Allayah zoned out, shook her head slowly and stated, "What." She also overcharged us and messed up the order. Girl, just stay home. When we told the manager the order was wrong she just gave us a blank stare and took the food to correct the order. No apology but we weren't expecting one from these employees. The bathrooms had soap, thankfully, but the paper towel dispenser was open and in disarray.The toilet also looks like it's a second away from breaking. This place reeks. I hope corporate looks at this location and fixes it in any way possible. Unfortunately, this place is one of the many truck stops around here and will probably continue to give poor service. read more

I'm only putting one star because that's the minimum I can put. This is my first review on yelp and I felt the need to review this Jack in the Box because it honestly sucked so bad. The manager was very rude and one worker dropped fries on the floor and decided it would be a good idea to not pick them up but to kick them under the table. Bathrooms were disgusting. The place is not held up well. I know I know it's a "fast food place" but this was just terrible. Worst Jack in the Box ever. More like disgusting in the box. read more

If i had the option to give this specific restaurant lower than a 1 star, i would. We walked in and waited for 10 min and absolutely no one came to the register to help us at all. We then continued to wait and while we were waiting we noticed that not a single worker who were handling the food had any gloves on. Never in my life have i been to a fast food restaurant where they handle the food that we eat without any gloves on. It's disgusting to know that they handle their food carelessly. We left and tried to call to let them know what we saw and nobody answered, we tried calling for 10 mins. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD SERVICE. Very inefficient staff with 1 cashier that at times left her register to tend to other things... but, there is a line of people waiting to order!! The sourdough bread for sourdough jack sandwich as stale! The drink and condiment station was a dirty mess! Someone spilled their soda on the floor and it didn't get cleaned up for a long while. Do yourself a favor and don't eat here!! read more

Do not eat here! Employees do not wash their hands after using the restroom! Even after my husband suggested to the employee that he wash his hands before returning to kitchen the employee continued on without washing his hands. read more

Stopped here to grab some food on our way out of Paso Robles. Never again! It was so hot in here you couldn't breathe! Our food took about 20 minutes to be ready which is ungodly slow! Even ordering was slow there was one lady in front of us to order and we still had to wait over 5 minutes to order. Skip this Jack in the Box and eat somewhere else in the area! read more

All the bad reviews are legit. Our first time here. Service is slow, they messed up the order even after I confirmed 2 times, soda tasted funny, fries are burnt and chicken strip tasted weird as well. It's the worst Jack in the Box I've visited. Note to self: never stop at this place again! read more

Bathroom is filthy. And got sandwich and its missing tomatoes. Went to ask for them only to be told they ran out. Who does that? Everything has tomatoes in it. They are located in the middle of an agricultural area that grows tomatoes. Really? So annoyed. Flies, theygot. Tomatoes not so much. read more

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Flies are everywhere, trash is overflowed, and the place is completely filthy. Had to repeat our orders 4 times because the cashier paid no attention to us. After 10 minutes of sitting down waiting for our order, one of the employees came by and asked to see our receipt. Went to check up around 10 minutes after they took our receipt and they told us they were waiting for our large curly fries. We didn't even order large curly fries in the first place. A total of 40 minutes waiting for our food and it never came. Asked to see the manager and she didn't even bother to acknowledge us. Ended up asking for a refund and left. Complete waste of time. read more

I am completely disgusted with this place and now has me thinking twice now about were we stop and what we consume. It ruined our family vacation to SoCal. Horrible service. They tried to give us the wrong change twice, then still didn't give us proper change and we had to get on the road so we just let them have the extra. Ordered coffee with cream and Splenda, it took asking 3 times for the creamer and Splenda. They weren't even busy. The kid was rude and had no customer service training. Go somewhere else. read more

If I could leave a no star I would. The employees are lifeless the food is overlooked, no napkins, flies are at the counter. The wait is about 45 min for food. The only good thing is they mess up your order and give you better fries or a bigger drink. Your best chance is the drive through. But you might as well go somewhere else. Save your time and skip this place. The bathrooms are dirty and is just a waste of life. read more

I like that there's a gas station a little walk away from el Dollar Taqueria, so we can use the restroom. But this is a taco truck with a tent and cement seating and tables. It's convenient for a quick stop and bite to eat. Prices are reasonable but has been creeping up every year (since we've been coming for 20 years, we notice this). I like the food and service here. Will keep coming!

You'll see a convenience store on your left (south side of road) and just a bit further down is the silver taco shack of pleasure. There's a cheap plastic table out front with an umbrella. Pick yourself up a Negro Modela at the convenience store, walk over to the taco shack and order yourself a bunch of 1$ tacos. I always get the carnitas, and you can select your own toppings. The hot sauce is firey and tasty too. I have no idea what the name of this shack is, but it's been there for the past 5 or 6 years-- a faithful taco mecca for hungry travelers. It's family run so it's probably only open during daylight hours.

My total was $4 higher than I usually pay at other locations. A cheesy roll up is $2.79 here when it's usually $1.39. I definitely won't come back here if I can avoid it. Edit to add: I just opened my tacos and there is the tiniest bit of meat in them. So I had to drive back to show them and get them to fix it. When showing the worker the small amount of meat in the taco his smart response was "that's the meat" after asking where the rest of the meat was. If I were you id avoid this Taco Bell all together. Horrible customer service, high prices, and not even the correct amount of meat in the overpriced tacos.

I love stopping in Lost Hills when we drive along the 5 between SoCal and NorCal. It's kind of in…read morethe middle and we need gas/charging. I like that there's a gas station a little walk away from el Dollar Taqueria, so we can use the restroom. But this is a taco truck with a tent and cement seating and tables. They are right next door to a truck stop. As a truck driver, I assumed they would be open for take out, as other fast food restaurants are. But no, I walked to the door to find they are only open for drive thru & delivery. There's no reason they can't open inside for take out. Someone made a bad management decision. read more
