This is a Jack in the box near Dumbarton bridge between Menlo Park and Palo Alto. It is very clean including the restroom . Some parking at the front to share with two other restaurants. It gets full easy at lunch time but you can park on the streets near by . I love their extensive menu . From burger to taco , burger to chicken . You can find something you enjoy. Their drive through open 24 hours and now they have a mid night snacks menu . I arrived here around 11pm -- it was about 10 minutes just to get to the spot to order, and we waited for 10 minutes after being told by the person on the other side "just a moment." We asked "Is everything okay? Are you still open?" It was clear that they were. not moving very quickly. We waited another 10 minutes before deciding to give up. We had to wait another 10 minutes to clear the cement chute of the driveway. Total time spent being stuck in the Jack-in-the-Box line: 40 minutes. We went to McDonald's where we placed an order at 11:50, they gave us EXTRA fries with a smile because "You're the last customer of the night." I came here around 3:30 am to order food. There was a man on a bicycle in the drive-thru. When I got to the window, the man who took my order was very rude. To make matters worse, after he handed me my food, he turned away and forgot to give me my drink. I was stuck in the drive-thru trying to get his attention, but he ignored me and continued doing something else. After waiting for a while, he finally came back to the window and asked what I wanted. I told him that he forgot my drink, and he seemed confused about it. Eventually, he got me the drink I asked for. He told me his name was John, but I'm not sure if that's true. This fastfood restaurant has been consistently horrible. These workers are over worked and if they aren't, they do not sound happy to be working there. I brought my dad here for a quick meal after his appointment, and we were greeted with "one sec" at the drive thru menu. After a brief pause, "Can I help you?" was almost met by my response of "Can I help YOU?" I understand that these workers have to move quickly, but a little courtesy and manners in their speech and tone can go a long way. The plaza where this restaurant sits is generally not appealing, and the bushes near the drive thru reek of urine, beer, with dark mysterious stains splattered across the walls. Production stickers are slapped onto the outside counter of the drive thru window where food stains and more questionable odors reek. The two stars is only because of the quickness of how we received our meal but really, it should be a negative star. I visited jack in the box 10/08 2024, when the cashier gave me my order I checked it and it was the wrong burgers, and I publicly told her I wand two Jr jumbo jack, her attitude was coming out saying that's what I told her I said you are wrong. She wanted me to give more money, in response I said you own me money. While that had to make my food over I seen with my own eyes the lady lupe put frozen frys in with cook fries and put it in thr fryer. Okay I'm checking my order again and it was wrong once again this is their second time making my food over well it's a third time a charm. I just didn't under why they couldn't get the order right. This why I don't like coming to this Jack in the box because I'm here way to long, and that they can't get my order right at all this is unprofessional customer service and skills they want to fix your food how they want to and I don't agree with the business. I was never a fast food person, but with a string of store closings striking the only plaza within walking distance from work, I have been going there quite a few times. My English friend Marcus used to have breakfast there every morning, and he would come back to say "Jack is well, but he's in a box". They must have hired some fairly inexperienced people lately - understandable given the circumstances - so the service was slow and erratic. In tough economic times though you ought to cut these guys some slack. We all need to save money and Jack delivers on that promise and keeps the store open. Their chicken sandwich and fatty breakfast can ruin your health in the long run, but they can also save your life after you skipped two meals in a row to save money. Unable to make dinner today, I decided to go here. Went through drive-thru and waited for 15 minutes in line. Upon arrival to the speaker the gentleman was unable to hear clear what I was ordering and I kept repeating myself until he finally took my order. So we waited, anticipating that maybe staff were on their break. After 1hr, they opened but told us that their machines are down so no food are available. I submitted complaint on the email from their website 3 times. No response. Because I worked night shift, I didnt go to the store personally until my day off (2 days after). The staff didn't even listen to my concerns and even when I simply asked if there's a direct phone number or email for this type of concern, they disregarded my complaint. Amazingly bad customer service at this location over multiple visits, consistent with the other reviews. The last straw yesterday was when I pulled up to an otherwise empty drive through. The lady on the dialer greeted me and asked what I wanted. I asked for a moment. My daughter and I looked at the menu board to determine what to have. Shortly, the speaker asks if I'm ready to order yet and I asked for another moment. My daughter figures out what to order, but before I can say it, the speaker is telling me that there's a timer and that I shouldn't hold up the line. (There's still nobody else in line.) As I'm trying to finish figuring out what I want with all the interruptions, she interrupts again, insisting that I must not hold up the line, that I should have read the first menu board before pulling forward, and that again there was a timer.
