Came here the other day and asked for a water. The lady repeated back several times very confused "Water?" When I finally said "Agua" she registered that I was asking for water and said she could give me a small water which I was fine with as I was on my way home. When I got to the window she proceeded to have the water poured there but wanted to charge me. When I came inside for a cup to get the water free from the fountain I was rudely told that I needed to pay for water again. I do not recommend this store to anyone and no other Jack in the box for that matter. For this location just being open, they are making a horrible impression. It was 8:30 and we were ready to check it out, only to find the drive thru had been closed up 30 minutes early. The employees were arrogant, and clearly not eager to help guests. There were traffic cones blocking the drive thru so when I went to talk to an employee they claimed their "system was having issues" highly unlikely. Guests were eating in the drive in area. They were clearly trying to get off the clock early and were already almost done packing up. Even if these system issues were really happening, they should not be lit up as if they were still open. Tried them again. Still the world's slowest drive thru. **18 minutes** to get through the drive thru lane at 6 in the evening with just 2 cars ahead of me. If my car hadn't been boxed in, I would have backed out and left. Apparently something was wrong with my order, as I heard the workers yelling at each other as they started to hand me my bag, then took it back. The tacos were so old by the time I got them that the paper wrapper had disintegrated and everything was soft and literally dripping grease. Its been snowing so we decided to venture out to run a few errands and get lunch. We settled on Jack in the Box. We probably should have known from the beginning, we stood at the counter for well over 5 minutes and no one came to acknowledge us, but in the meantime we could hear them taking orders for the drive thru. Finally when we were greeted. We originally ordered 2 fish combos. 1 of them we asked for no tartar, but add pickles. We were told they don't have pickles. WHAT?! it wasn't that they were out, she said they don't have them. WHAT!? what kind of hamburger place does not have pickles. I have stopped here before but I don't eat pickles so it was no issue for me. but my BF wanted pickles. so instead, we just ordered my combo and he ordered tacos. We paid and didn't bother checking the receipt after we got it (I just looked at the total). That was a mistake. We got our order. I got my fish sandwich. Plain!!! nothing on it. and no fries. WTH. she gave us 2 drink cups for my combo and his drink. How is there not a combo? That's when we looked at the receipt carefully, she only ordered a plain fish sandwich not the meal. Granted she gave us 2 drink cups but only basically charged for 1. but that's not the point, I didn't want a plain fish sandwich. Being a truck driver I am unable to go through the drive through because the vehicle is too large. Even with not a single customer in the drive through they refused to take my order because I'm not in a vehicle. Disappointing they were not willing to take my order when so many other establishments will so obviously I will not be giving them my business now or in the future. We usually love coming here for popcorn chicken! But that's all they're good for. I have three reasons I don't think I'll ever go back for anything else but their popcorn chicken. 1, I got a sourdough jack that was just dry and not as good as I remembered it when I was younger. 2. I got the tiny tacos and my stomach hurt so bad for the rest of the day from probably how overly fried they were. 3. Today my breaking point, I was completely pissed off, I ordered two sausage and cheese breakfast sandwiches with sourdough bread instead of croissant. We didn't want the ultimate breakfast sandwich because the ham and bacon is too much and I explained that to the order taker. I also ordered a sausage burrito. Big mis-steak. Driving home after a great weekend on Whidbey, but starving after missing dinner - having too much fun. After much debate and not finding anything else open late (11 PM), stopped at JITB to get a sirloin burger and grilled chicken pita. Not good. 12 hours later - food poisoning symptoms. Won't give the gory details, but we both suffered(ing). As our doc says - "it too will pass." Itsa pita. Called them and got run around, but did get the 800 number for guest services who took data and filed a report. Got a call back later to see what else we had eaten and where. Big deal - barely an apology for missing a day of work and having "severe GI distress". Yech-h-h-h. Second time in a year at a JITB - previously late return from Portland and stopped off I-205 near PDX. Similar consequeces. Broke my own bad food rule - never give them a second chance. Guess it now applies to chains as well as specific establishments. No more JITB - ever! Better to be hungry and wait. Jack, your time in the ICU was just a notice to customers it seems. Slow service like super slow. They give you the worst part of the lettuce. Me and my father asked for the good parts of the lettuce and they completely over did our hamburger meat and still gave us the white bad part of the lettuce and hardly put any sauce or anything on it. If it was possible to give negative starts I would so do it. I ordered food here and not only was the girl that was working drive thru window rude she didnt listen at all when I was ordering I had to repeat myself 5 times before she was able to even get half of the order correct. Then when I was at the window she asked if I wanted any sauces for the fries and I told her ranch and she gave me ketchup I again said "Ranch" and she was like oh okay and gave me "Franks" I was so irritated at this point I finally just told her R A N C H spelling it out and was able to get that across to her that time. being a fast food joint, I wasn't going to other with a review, but since I'm still irritated about it after 6 hours, here I am. the restaurant itself can have 3 to 4 stars. standard fast food scene, half cleaned tables with trash and crumbs here and there. the service is why I'm here. no stars. I ordered some tacos, bacon cheddar wedges and a soda. (my boss ordered ahead of me and asked for nearly the same thing). with nobody waiting ahead of us and only one person eating at a table in the dining area, it was clearly not busy. we order, we wait a few minutes. a guy walks in and orders, a couple more minutes passes, he gets his food and leaves. we wait. nearly 10 minutes passes and finally my bosses food comes out. he sits and eats. I continue to wait. another minute passes and I go to counter and ask if there's a problem. the lady asks me what I ordered. I tell her. (the whole time I can see my tacos being made, very slowly, in between conversations amongst the staff.) she goes back and I wait some more. finally after more than 15 minutes of waiting my food comes out. I sit, and find that my bacon cheddar wedges are without bacon and chedder. . . I got plain wedges. (apr look up at the menu confirms that they don't even sell plain wedges) so I go up to the counter and tell them to fix it. all I wanted was for them to put the stuff on my food that it needed. instead they took my wedges, had a 4 person conversation about it. then came back and told me "you can keep these, we will make new ones and bring them out to you." fine whatever. my other food is now getting cold so I'll eat that while I wait. so I eat my tacos, and then start eating the plain wedges, and think to myself, "if I eat all these I'm not even going to want the ones that will be made correctly." at that point the new ones arrive and the lady informs me that she is very sorry and that she has done me the favor of giving me not just my correct wedges but a DOUBLE order. she crammed twice as many wedges in the box. I didn't even want 2 orders of them . . . and in all I got 3. food was wasted, and I spent more time waiting than I did eating. . . company needs to get some real management in this store. read more
