Nice little dining room. Hit that salsa bar, ya hear?
    Tom B.

In short Another nice sit-down taqueria in our area--great food, good prices, amazing salsa bar. Worth a visit. In long This is in the big Dutch-Colonial strip mall on the Speedway. It's next to Mud Bay, kinda hidden from the street by the chicken place. Small suite but they pack it in. Parking can be busy but there's lots of it. There's a plancha on the left and you order when you walk in. Big menus hanging from signboards over the work area. Row of tables and chairs over there. I was in pretty early today and half the tables were already taken. People know this place is here, 'cause this place knows what's up. The kids are nice--super-quick, always getting stuff done. Maybe not the chattiest but that's alright. I checked out a carnitas taco, 'cause ya gotta have a street taco at a place like this, regardless of what else you order. It was good! Chewy tortilla, tons of fresh toppings, pork maybe coulda been a little moister but it sure hit the spot. And that salsa bar...damn. 6 kinds, plus limes and other stuff you need for your tacos, and little to-go cups too. 3 different salsas just on the spicy side, and every single one was legit, showing good flavors and nice tingling warmth. It's only about the size of a side table (plus a sneeze hood), but you don't need much space to make a great salsa bar. I also got the mole poblano. They go kinda hard with the cinnamon, so I wouldn't probably get this on a hot day 'cause it's closer to the dessert end of the spectrum for my tastes. But it's still complex--it's a very good mole--and the chicken was magic under it. Great rice and beans. So comforting, just makes you smile to eat it. I gotta admit, today's been a long day and I can honestly say this food was good enough to make my mind stop running hither and thither and just enjoy the fact that these folks do a few things very, very well. I mean...they offer street tacos in 15-taco party packs. They're putting in the work, and people know it. 5 more parties came in while I was there, and it still wasn't dinner time. Don't sleep on this spot.

    Signature Burrito

The establishment: The restaurant is wonderful! They have a salad bar like setup for the sauces and additives with labels on them! You can choose as much sauce as you want, more places should do this. The food: I ordered the signature asada burrito which comes as two smaller burritos. I was underwhelmed with the taste of the burritos and the taste of the sauces. I've had a lot of taquerias and this one just didn't taste as well I would've thought. This wasn't bad at all, make no mistake about it! The food just didn't stand out.

I stopped by this spot after a trip to MudBay because it looked authentic, and it was cute inside. The cashier was friendly, and we placed a to-go order. I got the carne asada Classic burrito and paid an extra $2.50 for onions and cilantro, basically the only difference from their Signature burrito. Unfortunately, when I got home, I was really disappointed. The burrito lacked flavor, had barely any cream, and was mostly filled with lettuce. Definitely not what I expected. My partner ordered street tacos, but they were also pretty bland. The one highlight was the salsa options, they were tasty! Overall, it wasn't a great experience, and we likely won't be back unless we're really hungry and happen to be nearby.

Oh Dios mio is Taqueria Puebla a hidden gem. They have a hot sauce bar that you don't find to often, and their traditional burritos with carne asada are fresh and bursting with flavor. The staff is incredibly friendly, making every visit a joy. If you're a fan of authentic Mexican cuisine, this place is a must-try!

Such a cool spot! I found it by chance while flying into PAE nearby. Glad I found it too. This little strip mall looks like a cute little story book craftsman style strip mall. Even QFC was muted and all white. Super cute. This place was super busy, friendly and welcoming. It was 100 degrees day but I chose to sit outside: very nice and cool around 7 pm. Plus, you get to see all the planes land! Food: Sopes / good! Very filling. I had tinga and carne asada. Tacos: yumm!! Chicken was delicious. Salsa was delicious too. Salsa bar : the best! Hottest sauces are the best!!! So hot and flavorful. Lines out the door for their little salsa bar and you can see why. Such a cute little spot in cute little strip mall with great views. Menu is small which I love. Can't wait to come back!

1 vegetable street taco and 2 grilled fish tacos. Delicious !!

The food is delicious and fresh ! The establishment has a walk up to order style. The ladies working behind the food bar are pleasant, work quickly and seem to be working efficiently as well. We ordered chips with guacamole, rice & beans, halibut street tacos, vegetable street tacos, carnitas street tacos and asada street tacos! I tried their warm vegetable street taco; the vegetable taco busted with SO much flavor ! Also, the vegetable taco had different textures which I loved. If you try this taco, you will NOT miss the meat. I tried one of their homemade sauce; the poblano sauce - OH M G also delicious. I will say, I have raved about the warm vegetable street taco for days. I was so surprised by the favor and different textures. I also tried their Halibut street taco, also super yummy! I wish the Halibut taco had something more that stuck out as far as flavor like the vegetable taco. However, still delicious. My partner tried the carnitas street tacos and asada street tacos. My partner said they "tasted authentic and delicious." Rice & beans was good. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Beans seemed to be a little bland and little too watery of a consistent FOR ME. However, I am from Miami where beans are a staple, almost every where you go. I might be too picky to judge beans. Also, beans are my favorite food in the world; so for the average person these beans are good. The guacamole with chips were yummy too! They have a few out door seating ( I am hoping when they bring more people they will add heaters to keep you warm while enjoying their dishes.) Also, there is a sauce bar with different homemade sauces. In addition, placed side by side to the homemade sauces they also have a mixture of pickled carrots, onion, and peppers. You can also find radishes, limes, and pico de gallo the the bar station. I would love if they had a happy hour menu with maybe a signature spicy margarita or some type of small cocktail menu ?

    Classic asada burrito

All I can say is wow! My husband and I both ordered the classic burrito, and it was easily one of the best burritos I've ever had. The food came out quickly, and the service was top-notch. The meat was packed with flavor, and the tortilla was absolutely delicious. A perfect 10/10--we'll definitely be ordering again!

Signature Burritos - 2 mini burritos for $12. A bit pricey.

Clean little restaurant located in the QFC strip mall. Menu is limited but the food quality is decent. The condiment station had a good variety of sauces. We got 4 tacos ($15) and two orders of the Signature Burritos ($12 each. 2 mini burritos) to go. They no longer come with rice and beans so I thought the price was a bit steep. When I showed the free check-in offer for a free house-made aqua, the cashier looked confused and reluctantly honor it.

If you're in the mood for a basic place where they do everything right, you can probably round up a star. In long This has been at least one other sports bar, and you might be surprised how big it is inside. There's a decent amount of parking, and a ton of reliable places to eat also surround this lot. I came in to check out Husky hoops yesterday afternoon, which nobody around here was showing since it was on a streaming platform. The place was empty when I showed up 'cause it was way between lunch and dinner, so I got to chat with the cool bartender a bit. She had already scoured their channel guides to see which local teams she'd be able to show, so we shared a cheerful grumble about how you can't just get one subscription to cable anymore and see all your teams' games. I didn't get the sense she was a sports dork like me, so she was doing this so she could do a good job at work. I like that!@ This place from the outside looks like it might seat about 25, but the reality is that it's several times that big. Dozen pool tables scattered around, plenty of room for everybody to line up shots. Couple dozen TVs. Huge horseshoe-shaped bar going from the middle of room to the back corner, lots of stools. You can see a few nice choices for spirits here and there. Full bar for sure. Beers are a little on the industrial side, probably no wines. She mixed a decent old-fashioned for me, but asked multiple questions about how I liked it. I really loved how detailed she was with everything--which games are on, which drinks they have, how to make them, how they serve their food. She didn't seem like the owner (I don't think) but she knew the whole place like the back of her hand. I had a prime rib dip, which was just the sandwich you want when you can have a little cheat. Good chewy onion rings that didn't pull apart after one bite--you get batter and onion, both, every time. Jus was good, meat was tender, bread had a nice chew to it. The chef puts his name on at least one dish, and the bartender went on about how much scratch cooking he does. I asked if she recommended something specific, and she rattled off half the menu. This is definitely a place where you can happily eat during the game. I was out the door with a meal and a drink for under $30, which is an amazing value these days.

They are OPEN TUESDAYS, same hours as other weekdays (until 7:30 pm). I rode my bike from Seattle to try this place out - and the service was amazing. I got the Blu Burger, and I took The Hippie Burger (vegetarian, vegan if you remove the Chipotle mayo) home for my partner. The woman at the counter was super friendly and packaged the burger very carefully so I could take it home in one piece! I ordered the Blu Burger & Butterfinger Milkshake - both were solid. Butterfinger shake was delicious, although part of me wishes I got some of their on-tap root beer instead. The burger was tasty, albeit a bit of an adjustment for me since I'm still warming up to blue cheese. The only downside was that the bacon tasted a bit too meaty (if that makes sense) and one of the pieces had a part that couldn't be chewed in it. Regardless, it's a solid burger and I'm excited to go back and try another one! They do not serve beer/alcohol here anymore and have converted the old beer tap to a root beer tap. I highly recommend trying this place out as the new owners/workers are very friendly & the food is delicious!

It is part of the Staybridge Suite hotels here and this hotel in general, is always packed! We finally know why! The hotel inside is beautiful -- woodwork and a cozy ambience! The 5 x 5 bar & bistro is new. What it was before was an old theater. Matthew was a one-man show with two ladies helping him with carrying the done orders to the tables. It was actually quiet on a Wednesday when we had went. Only 3 tables occupied. We missed happy hour and settled on the regular menu. I had the chicken tenders (4-pc) with lemon pepper seasoning (oh my -- this was delicious!) along with sweet potato waffle fries. I also got the hummus plate -- fresh veggies and the hummus had feta cheese and olive oil too, yummy! My bf had the pepperoni pizza with cheddar cheese and topped with green onions. I had a taste of it and it was pretty good! My bf's mom had the fish burger with a side salad. Matthew was so kind and made a mental note of the orders. He even remembered my bf's mom saying 'no cheese' and he doubled checked with her after looking at the fish burger. Real nice guy and his service with the ladies was warm and delightful! They're forming an events room hall that will be done soon that used to be a pool area (so yes, no swimming pool anymore). They also have a nice patio area with long chairs and a nice mini bar/grills in the middle. I also had a limoncello cooler and my bf's mom has red wine too. We'd come back again!

In short Great deals on great drinks, food is really solid,…read moreand the setting is nice and friendly. Only drawback is that the hours are limited. In long Lately we've been seeking out places that are literally quieter--less volume on the music, more space between the tables, and so on. I'd been wanting to check out 5x5, anyway, since it's the only spot around with an exactly perfect rating score. It looked like it'd fit the bill for a low-key place, and off we went. We came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday (4:00 PM). You're in a larger business-traveler hotel here, aimed at Boeing and Boeing-sub folks traveling for work. The building looks kinda generic from outside, but there's plenty of parking, and the lobby has a high-ceilinged atrium vibe for sure. Nice floor tiles, nice carpet, tasteful furniture. Everything's in perfect shape. You don't feel the lounge vibe right away, but there's a gigantic fireplace ahead of you, warming both sides of the room from the middle. Around that, there are lots of sturdy, shiny tables under the lofty ceilings. Off to the side, there's a little lounge area, then another one. Everything in the lounge is bar-height seating, and there are a few flatscreens, probably showing the game. Most folks are in here, sitting around the bar in the middle of the room. We posted up at a table just outside the lounge. Lindsey was behind the bar, and cheerfully answered every single question we had about food and all their cocktails. She's super friendly and makes a great drink for sure. She seems to have a bunch of regulars who aren't staying at the hotel, which is a great sign, no doubt. We checked out the warm pretzel--such a decadent treat. The waffle fries (and especially the aioli that came with them) were awesome. The pizza was a great choice; we added pickled onions to the Speedway. The crust could be a little crisper but we took home what we didn't finish and it's great here, too. Service on food and drinks was really quick. The cocktails here can be really creative, and there are lots of classics with house twists on the recipe. They even have a pisco sour they've tweaked--that's a fair bit of work for a bartender to make mid-shift. We got 5 great drinks and 3 nice plates of food for $96, and I don't think we even ordered anything from the HH menu. This is a very easy place to add to the rotation.
