This Jack in the Box is located at the corner of Dickerson Pike and Old Hickory. For the most part, it is your standard Jack in the Box location. It was clean and in good shape, and had active maintenance going on inside and out at the time of my visit. So, they stay on top of it, which shows. As with other locations, the lot and drive thru line are not that big and get backed up quite easily. So be careful pulling in and out here. Food-wise, I was let down a tad with this location. I ordered the Sourdough Jack with curly fries and a sweet tea. They were out of curly fries and sweet tea, and then when I got my burger it did not have sourdough, but a regular bun. They did not tell me they were out of sourdough buns when I ordered so I paid a little extra for a basic burger. The food was okay, but back to the bun...it was slightly tough and took away from the burger itself. The onion rings were hot and fresh, no issues there. Service was great. Both folks I encountered were very friendly. Overall, standard fast food experience honestly. While the craving does not hit often for Jack in the Box, in the moments it does I can see stopping here. read more

I'd love to rate this place zero stars. Terrible customer service. Absolutely clueless staff. Some managed to take 25 minutes to make popcorn chicken with no extras and we still got the wrong fries. I ordered my food, and for starters, I had to wait like 5 minutes for her to notice me. I had to tell her three times about my order. While I waited for my order, I watched her box up another customer's fries. Instead of using the fry scoop, she used the fry box without gloves or looking on the counter; she would have seen the fry scoop. To me, it looks like poor training. When I got my food, it looked OK. My Issue is not about the food. Being Disabled ,every time i visit the Jack ,The Handicap spaces are taken .Since there are no customers in the Restaurant, I say it is the Employees that Back their Cars in those spaces and No Handicap plates or Placards are in/on these vehicles. Do not waste your time. it took 30 minutes to get chicken nuggets and fries. the workers were extremely rude and uninterested in helping. when I asked for a refund, I was told I couldn't be given one because no manager was there only for a manager to emerge from the back 10 minutes later. the manager was unapologetic and irritated with me for asking for a refund and made me give my food back in order to receive it. Not to mention that even when my food came out the order was incorrect. I was overcharged, my groups shakes were so thick you couldn't drink them, my friend ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and was given a cheeseburger, my other friend ordered loaded tiny tacos and there was nothing but cheese on them with onion ring bits inside of it. There service was fast but the staff was the most unfriendly people I have ever met. One worker spoke very mumbled and the crew made fun of us for asking for sauce. When we got the sauce the worker threw it on the counter and walked away. Would never recommend going here with the nasty unwelcoming atmosphere. Especially with Sonic right next door. read more

After 15 years of going to this location I have had enough. I tried calling every phone number available on google and posted on the building posted at the drive thru. None of them actually get you to Jack in the Box. One of them posted on the drive thru window is now for a law firm! At one point this was a decent location. But after covid hit this location is in worse than bad shape and there appears to be no way to let corporate know about it. Right off the bat I will let everyone know that it is clear that the current franchise owner does not care about this location and it is deeply neglected. The short version of this is: rude employees, bad customer service, employees will lie and say equipment is down to not serve burgers or sides but you can see them handing it out to other customers and or eating it themselves right in front of you, several times I have been told during the day and night that they are only able to make French fries and nothing else in the fryers, If you make an app order count on waiting for an hour or more to get it after you order it or having to repeat your order to the window because it did not make it to them or they system is down, drive thru consistently has wait times of 30 minutes per car or longer, 100% order error rate in the past 3 years that is if you don't get someone else's order which is almost always, this location randomly closes during the day and night even if you ordered and paid on the app you will not get food even though the restraint has employees in it and they are clearly staffed!, if you are handicapped they will not accommodate you in any way. There are several laws that are being broken here but it's so bad I want to go past that. At this point the franchise owner does not deserve your hard earned money and the community does not deserve such a poorly run location. This is decent neighborhood and this is confusing and infuriating to have. IF the employees do not want to be there and the owner does not care and corporate willing turns a blind eye. We're from Michigan and have never had jack in the box. Tonight we decided to try it here. Was good food but one of our fries got mixed up. Not a big deal. The reason why I gave it a 3 star was because the service could be improved on. It's all good though! read more

They were super slow and the workers were just outside messing around and weren't doing anything. I was outside the drive though for 10 mins and people kept asking me for my order over and over again. I know...I know...why even bother with a review of a fast food restaurant. My expectations for fast food are usually pretty low so I usually don't review them but c'mon Jack in the Box...how does this one stay in business? When we walked in there were 3 people standing by the counter waiting while about 5 employees were slowly, like sloth slow, walking around the back, slowly preparing food. One of the guys finally noticed that I was a new customer and came over to take my order. After ordering I stood back and just watched how slow they all moved. There was a girl wearing more of a managers outfit so I'm just going to assume she was the manager on duty and she didn't move any faster than the other people. I went to the bathroom and it was pretty gross, that could definitely stand to be cleaned...like really cleaned...like maybe get a service to go in there and do some really deep cleaning. When I came out everyone was still waiting. Dang, it's been like 5 minutes so far. Finally, one of the girls gets her remake of a sandwich and I feel like there's going to be progress. Then we wait. Seriously, the guys in the back moved so slow, like I don't even know how it's physically possible to move that slow or to care that little. I get that fast food doesn't pay well and it's not seeking out the most qualified applicants. I fully understand that but I guess if you're going to be employed dealing with the public at all, some kind of work ethic should be there. read more

Hey again yelpers! I am back with yet another honest-to-goodness review of someplace I've been to or eaten at. Jack in the Box.. I don't even know where to start but I think to avoid getting of on too much of a tangent I'll just make it short and sweet. So I went here after work with the intent to get some breakfast before heading home because my coworker who was my ride home today wanted it. We ordered our food and the first thing I want to say is that the health food rating as of this review was at an 85. Simply incredible. I've seen worse but I almost always see higher than this. I wouldn't have normally eaten at a place with such a low rating but I had little choice today. My coworker ordered a sausage biscuit and he told me it was way smaller than what he was used to at other locations and commented about it to the (I think she was) the manager and she made absolutely no efforts to explain why or make his visit better. Now I get that she seemed a tad busy and I've been there, done that at my own job but if there's a customer that's not happy, I pretty much drop everything (that I can realistically stop) to help them leave happy. So when I ordered my food I decided on a bacon cheeseburger and I asked the cashier what kind of cheese I could get and she took several minuted to fully answer my question (Maybe she was new?). I'm not normally one to judge but in this case it has something to do with my review. The cashier was about as daft as a box of burnt out light bulbs and for anyone to run a good business they should have intellectual individuals working instead of whatever she was. Bit harsh? Maybe so, but it affected my restaurant visit, so I needed to stress my point. At any rate, the burger was luke warm and tasted like it wasn't very fresh at all. The store was a bit unkempt and the patrons were rather unsavoury and so I absolutely will not come here again, nor would I recommend Jack in the Box to anyone. Happy yelping! read more

I did not experience the long wait others talk about, and the food was hot, fresh and tasty. On the negative, several of the tables were dirty. Also I may be old, but $9+ for a chain fast food burger and fries seems a lot. Still, its better than McD and no body armor required like most of the places on Gallatin Pk. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We have had issues with food taking FOREVER and having the worse possible customer service every single time we've gone to any of the jack in the boxes in Nashville and the surrounding areas but this one is BY far the worse. Unfortunately while pregnant and working night shift one of the few things I crave and can keep down is Jack in the Box tacos. So after a shift I drove 15 minutes out of my way to try to get a quick taco or two. The lights were all on (it was 1021pm) and the menu was lit up and I could see an employee in the restaurant when I pulled into the lot. I went through the drive thru and sat for 5 minutes, nobody ever said anything, pulled up to the window, nobody was there. So I decided to call. Someone answered. He was extremely rude and said they were short staffed. I said "so you aren't open?" He said "no, we are short staffed" I said "isn't your drive through 24 hours?" He said third shift hadn't arrived yet. I asked when they would be there and he said "they are suppose to be here at 10 but they obviously aren't. Any more questions." At which point I was FED up and hung up. I've never in my life experienced a crappier approach to customer service in my life. So not only was I NOT treated like even a decent human being I also didn't get any food. This place needs to go out of business. I will never again spend another penny at this place. Too many other options where employees actually have good customer service, aren't assholes to their customers, and don't just close whenever they feel like it. read more

This is the first time I have been to a jack on the box. First of the restrooms were horrible and the place felt dirty. My gf got a burger and I got the tacos. I tried her burger and it was bland but the fries were good. The tacos are cheap and the shells were either old or toasted in such a way where when eaten they gave a feel of a stale taco. I will give Jack in the box another try just not this location read more

Time wasn't as bad as everyone has said, however, we barely missed the lunch rush, so that might have had an effect on it. The service was quick, but nothing extraordinary when it came to personality. Price wasn't bad either. Ordered number 4 combo, large size, came with large Coke and large curly fries. The fries were delicious (could've been warmer but not that big of a deal), and the Coke was delicious. The burger, on the other hand, was horrendous. I don't believe I have ever had a worse burger in my life. The presentation was fine (too much lettuce), and it looked to be an okay burger. However, the meat was tough and gristle-y, tasted like cafeteria lunch burgers. The cheese was very clearly unwrapped and slapped on, not even melted. Mayo and ketchup was slopped on, and the burger itself was heavy on one side, making it lopsided. My stomach hurt almost immediately after eating it. Overall, the sides, drink, and fast service were good, but the main entrée was terrible, bringing down my view of this chain. Would not recommend. read more

This jack in the box SUPPOSE to be 24/7 but every single time I go (which is always late night) the staff says "I'm sorry our system is down" EVERY SINGLE TIME!! And the over night staff is horrible and unfriendly! I always ask how long will the system be down. They usually say 15 minutes... so last night I decided to come back an hour later and guess what..... Yep you guessed it!!! I was told The system will be down for 15 minutes. I laughed and told the gentleman that I'll wait. So I asked if I could place the order. He replied it's impossible to order of the system is down. He wouldn't allow me to tell him what I wanted even though I had a big order. So 25 minutes later I attempted to order a chicken biscuit (he said were out of biscuits) I tried to order a chicken sandwich with cheese (he said were out of cheese) I tried to order a sausage croissant meal (he said you'll have to take fries) I said fine. Food was AWESOME!!!! People here are NICE!!! Mekia - you rock!!! For all you Yelpers who want to give 1-star to this Jack in the Box, we say "go back to Hillsboro." It was early. We were hungry. We rolled in around 6:30am, and rolled out with a couple piping hot breakfast sandwiches that were some of the best fast food sandwiches a person could ask for. The service was super friendly. Yes, the card reader had trouble. Yes, we had to wait about 10+ minutes for our food. Yes, the bathrooms were locked. But guess what - bring cash, be patient, and ask nicely for them to unlock the bathrooms and they will kindly do so. Seriously... We are giving these folks five stars because the breakfast sandwiches were so nice it was as if we'd made them ourselves at home. It was worth the wait while they took the time to get our order right and make it fresh. I've only eaten at a Jack-In-The-Box once, back in 2005 in Nevada on a business trip. There are quite a few of these fast food restaurants in TN, so I decided to stop by on my way home. My burger was awful (dry & old), the shake probably should have been on a cone because the ice cream was so hard and my fries had some other stuff mixed in with it. I complained on their website, and the very next day the store rep contacted me via email to "make it right". It's been months with no "making it right". read more
