This was my second visit to Velvet Taco and it left me somewhat disappointed. I found the guacamole to be pretty bland. The salsa was just okay. But I did enjoy the queso. I didn't love the steak taco, but perhaps it was an off night as I liked it very much last time. I'd like to try this place again and see if this visit was a fluke.

Pretty decent food court tacos - they were generous with the fillings and the taste was good. The food court is obnoxious, the water cups at the common soda fountain are small cones so they don't self stand unless you make a stand with an inverted empty cone.

Had a good lunch at Velvet Taco in Assembly Food Hall. Got the mexi-Cali shrimp taco and the cauliflower taco that were good. The best item was the queso. It was quick, easy and a decent lunch. Not necessarily the most crowded spots in Assembly Food Hall but worth trying out if you haven't before and are craving tacos.

I'm not sure if they missed something, but the Nashville hot tofu taco was nothing I was expecting. I was expecting an awesome red spicy tofu in a tortilla, yet I received it and the tofu was still crispy white?? And No additional hot sauce available. I'm in Nashville, am I missing something?? I think this taco missed the mark because I had expectations of a spicy tofu taco and it wasn't that at all. If there is cayenne in the breading, it is also not enough! I was so disappointed; I'm in Nashville!! 2 stars only because the cashier helped me as soon he saw me at the register.

Best tacos you'll ever try, with the immaculate flavor and funky combos it's an addiction you can't deny. Every time I'm in a new city I check if velvet taco is close by for an assured 10/10 meal. Try the chicken waffle, buffalo chicken, cauliflower taco, but you can't go wrong! Service is great they keep paper towel rolls on each table so you don't have to move far for an easy clean up.

Service was quick and friendly. There was ample seating in the food hall which was relatively clean despite being so busy. It gave quick in and out vibes for tourists I was disappointed they only had half the menu options and didn't have the main paneer taco they are known for. Cauliflower taco 3.5/5: tasty but they messed up on the sauces and made it extremely sour Tofu taco: 1/5 very little taste and not enough sauces I've had velvet taco in other cities and this is by far the worst in terms of quality and taste. The only saving grace is the service.

Popped over to Assembly Hall for dinner. There were so many restaurant options, but I had my heart set on Velvet Taco. I had to try the bacon smash burger taco. I don't know what's in the velvet sauce, but it was just so flavorful. I could have just had a couple smash burgers, but I'm glad I tried the mexi-cali shrimp taco too. Blackened shrimp is one of my favorite things and the corn pico was the perfect addition!

Honey, Velvet Taco in any state still always have my business. I think they just do a good taco. I got tacos to eat the next day (which is not a great idea) and they still held up well. 1. Chicken Tikka always has great flavor! 2. Buffalo chicken is always a favorite 3. Mexi-cali shrimp was good 4. Brisket taco is always a favorite! Great flavor

This is a late post and my memory is a but foggy now but I remember needing a quick bite that wasn't too heavy or carb loaded and decided on tacos! Had the Taco of the Week which was the steak chimichurri and the Baja shrimp. The chimichurri taco had big chunks of steak. They were a refreshing break from all the fried chicken and heavily buttered or cheesy carbs I'd eaten for my previous few meals. They were decently sized tacos, not the itty bitty street taco size, more like Taco Bell size but filled with fresh ingredients. Two were perfect for me. I wasn't overly stuffed and left happy and satisfied. It was peak lunch time when I went and there were maybe 8 people ahead of me. I was in line for maybe 10 min and took another ~10 min to get my food, so I guess it wasn't that quick, but it was worth it. Seating was rough but luckily had friends that saved me a seat at a squished table.

These tacos were one of my favorite parts about Nashville. Do yourself a favor and definitely visit if you are in town. Tacos are unique and different without being too crazy and over the top. The picnic chicken taco was definitely my favorite and the crispy chicken skin on top really made the taco! The brisket taco was also stellar. Meat cooked to perfection and a crispy cheese exterior on the tortilla was everything. Two tacos are pretty hearty and are enough for a meal. Fast casual makes for a quick dining experience and you can pair everything with a local beer - they had a nice variety on tap. I wish we had one in NJ!

Ordered the #3 Spicy Tikka Chicken and #15 Grilled Salmon, and an order of guacamole and chips. The venue- Assembly Hall is a great place where everyone can order what they want from the various eateries and all sit together to eat. The food was ready pretty quickly and everything tasted so fresh! The order included a side cupful of guacamole that was huge and a generous serving of chips. My son summed it up "good spin on a taco!"

Perfect location for an afternoon snack when you've been partying on Broadway! I wish the meat had been ground beef instead of strips, I think it's easier to bite into when it's ground beef. The food was piping hot, which I loved. You order at a counter and the cashier was very nice and helpful, since this was my first time eating here. The tables and chairs are fun different colors that match the accents on the wall. Definitely going to try the red velvet cake next time!

To their credit, Federales' service staff POURS THE DRINKS CONSTANTLY lol. They brought out bottle after bottle, esp for the Mimosa's. We enjoyed it and felt this was part of the experience there - chill out, sink into the vibe, enjoy live music and loosen up while sitting in a modern open-air concept with everyone around smiling and feeling good ... In conclusion, this rivals Adele's for my favorite Nashville brunch spot. The two have very different vibes, and I highly recommend checking out Federales!

This place came recommended from a friend and it seemed exciting to go to the restaurant of a singer! It is right in the heart of the downtown bar area. We had a very large group of people on a Saturday night. We had a bit of a wait as they do not take reservations. They seated us upstairs all together sort of at a row of tables separate but all on a row which worked out ok. We were there to celebrate a 21st birthday. They did say Happy Birthday but nothing special beyond that was given or provided which was a little disappointing but I think everyone in Nashville is celebrating something so I get it. Service was very good. Chips with salsa and guacamole was provided upon seating for everyone. When requested more was provided. We had one person who was Gluten Free and they appeared to take care in explaining options as well as answering any questions people had. Drinks were refilled and kept flowing (alcoholic ones). And for a busy Saturday night meals came out in a good timing. Everyone enjoyed their meal although one person had bitten into something hot and did not like it and they were happy to replace the meal. The meal that I had was fantastic! The steak quesadilla. The steak was tender and extremely flavorful. Honestly I had been a bit hesitant to order steak due to being very picky over steak quality. But I was very happy with it! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and at the end of the meal the server actually was ok with splitting up the ticket even tho we were a very large group which many many establishments refuse to do so this made me very pleased! Oh they had a live band playing on the first floor which was nice. There is an elevator at the back of the restaurant which is nice for those unable or just not wanting to climb a flight of stairs . The flower wall with the Nashville name on it made such a great backdrop for photos! They had two unisex bathrooms on the first floor. I would definitely recommend and go back to this place!

The fact that Savannah's was right next door made it even more fun I stopped in on Taco Tuesday around lunchtime, and it was the perfect time to visit. There was a nice crowd, but it wasn't overly busy. I even picked up a Casa Rosa T-shirt as a souvenir after settling in at the bar. The highlight of my visit was Johnny, the bartender. I told him I wanted something sweet with tequila, and he created the perfect drink. I honestly don't know what he made, but it was so good I ordered a second one! We also discovered we're both from Chicago, which made for great conversation and made the experience feel even more welcoming. Johnny recommended the tacos, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. They were fresh and flavorful. Pair those tacos with two amazing tequila drinks, live music from a fantastic band, and my total bill came to under $50. If you're looking for a great lunch spot with good food, excellent drinks, live music, and outstanding service, Casa Rosa is definitely worth a stop. And if Johnny is behind the bar, you're in great hands. I can't wait to make it back to Nashville, and hopefully one day I'll get lucky enough to visit while Miranda Lambert is there!
