Came during a weekend for lunch. Plenty of parking. Inside the restaurant appeared very clean. The air conditioning was working really well. We didn't want to leave. Ordered the 2 tacos for $1.99 and Jumbo Jack for $6.29. Our order was sitting at a counter for a while before we questioned where the food was. Apparently they won't call out your order. You have to inquire about your food yourself. The burger was cold by the time we got it. The 2 tacos were a little warm, they were delicious as usual. RUDE AF, had a stank attitude as I drove up. The short girl with medium brown hair, which I'm assuming is the manager (only one wearing a black shirt today) was nasty off the bat. I placed my order ahead of time so that it would be an easier drive thru pick up for everyone and she came off as I was inconveniencing her. On top of it my order was wrong, and the French toast sticks were inedible because they were so damn hard. I didn't order rocks, I ordered French toast sticks; I had to throw ALL of them away as they were extremely stale When I drove back to get my order "fixed", she still had a rank demeanor and to "fix" it they just added a little sauce to the COLD mozzarella sticks. Felt like their attitude was like "here damn". I get that working fast food is a tough busy job and everyone has their days (most of us have worked customer service jobs and know what it inquires) but it's not an excuse to be so nasty & so rude she needs better training, everyone else here is lovely however. Tonight at about 7:30 pm I pulled up to the drive-thru and it was not a good experience. The disrespect employee Ciera showed me was truly mind-boggling. I come to order and she says speak up rudely. Then I order yelling thru the speaker. Then once I go around she has an attitude I show her my military ID Card to get the discount. Then with an attitude yells I don't need to see you ID card. I in turn get out my payment card and she's looking at me like I am beneath her and with my attitude. Then she said we will bring the food to you and I say can I have my grape jelly she says we will bring it out very rudely and in turn say I can get grape jelly in my hand. She then gives it to me and I ask what is her name. Nasty! Went inside to order yesterday. Got the 10 piece chicken nuggets, onion rings and a large tea for $15. My order was quickly produced - too quickly. I left. When I opened the chicken nuggets box and bit into one - blech - under cooked chicken!!! You could see by the outside color that most likely the oil was not hot enough. Bit into one with a slightly darker appearance and it was just as undercooked inside. Not only is this place not recommended, a person can get seriously ill from undercooked chicken. I've been meaning to write another review for the employee named Ryan at this Jack in the Box location in 29 Palms. Ryan is an excellent worker, always upbeat, friendly, patient, and always provides the best service when I order or pick up my food using the mobile app. If I have a special request for a different drink such as a strawberry Sprite Zero, he does it without any hesitation. Usually it's like pulling tooth and nail asking other employees to change my drink but Ryan is different and accommodating to customer's requests. I've never been more disgusted. I love Jack I'm the Box but my experience here was horrible. We got to the order window and the guy on the intercom didn't say anything. We said "hello?" And he said "what's your order". I ordered #11 chicken sandwich, just the sandwich. My husband ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with no bacon. The guy said "no lettuce no tomato?" And he said "what? No I said no bacon" and he corrected and we went to the window. He wasn't able to use our gift card but whatever we gave him a card. We had also given him $3 cash (as the gift card was a little short of the order total) and when we paid with credit card it was very confusing to know what happened to the $3 we have him. The entire time we were at the window HE DIDNT SAY A WORD! he just waved our card at us and mumbled.. never actually said a word to us. He gave us our order and we went to our hotel. This stop was a present surprise, while the building shows wear, it appeared much cleaner than in the past. Restrooms were clean, stall latches working and graffiti removed. I was over charged for the wrong order and I even confronted it at the window that I didn't order what I received. Instead of fixing the problem or giving my cash back they tried to make me feel bad by saying they're going to have to throw away the food they gave me inable to give me what I originally ordered and I repeated 3times back to them what I wanted because the price didn't add up. Should you order a "plain" burger you invariably will be asked whether you want cheese--they obviously don't know, or care what "plain" means.
