I saw Jack in the Box had a new Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and wanted to try it out. I wasn't expecting the best cheesesteak ever, but something to satisfy my craving. When I got the sandwich, it looked really flat and unlike the sandwich they have been advertising. Go figure. And when I took apart the sandwich to assess the situation, the insides were skimpy and half the sandwich was just bread. And when I finally tried it, I was left unimpressed. Not with just the presentation, but something with the flavors were off as if a key ingredient was missing. Needless to say (but not surprisingly), it was disappointing. Not pictured, I got the Ultimate Chesse Burger.... it was dry and didn't have hardly any seasoning. Jalapeño poppers were ok. My husband decided to try their Cheesesteak sandwhich.... he said it was horrible. In the pictures you can see that the sandwich barely has any filling and one shows part of the sandwich that didn't have any meat at all! Not much to say about this Jack in The Box. Food is pretty standard as is the service (not great, not bad). This location has a decent amount of indoor seating and is clean. Not too busy on a Sunday after church. We came here to get some tacos and burgers to take home. I try not to eat too much fast food, but every once in a while I do like to go to Jack in the Box for their greasy tacos which are still affordable compared to the burgers which have going up in price dramatically in the past 1.5 years (like at most fast food restaurants). For some reason, people don't like Jack in the Box. As far as fast food places go, it's actually pretty decent. They have a variety of different options and they are open late and drive through is open all the time! I have nothing but good things to say about this location. Your order is always prepared they way you ask for it. Not once have I gotten home and everything I ordered wasn't in the bag. No matter the time of day that you order a breakfast item, it's always great. The staff is always friendly and they never forget your sauces and Napkins! Teriyaki Bowl and Egg Roll combo are awesome. As drive thru fast food goes, I generally find this one's run better than most. Now, I'm actually not a big fan of JOB food but appreciate that they have a huge menu, so when I don't know what I want, I just look at their menu. Drive thru seems to move smoothly in my experience. Talk about a lack of customer service these days. I swear there are so many unhappy miserable workers at these fast food joints and they have the worst attitudes ever. The entire scene was a complete shish show if you know what I mean...so a lot of nights I work late and sometimes I don't feel like cooking when I get home so I stop at the only place I know I can go late and order a side of scrambled eggs at Jack in the box. I don't go every night but I've literally been going here for a side of scrambled eggs for over at least 4 years if not longer when I'm starving at night... and I'm talking multiple locations but normally Alamo is the one I go to the most since it's closest to my house . Well this particular night I went for exactly that, keep in mind almost every single Jack in the box I've ever been to including this location charges me $0.55 per egg & I order about 5 eggs so all together my total ends up coming up to about $3 and some change. When I got to the window this night the young lady said my total was going to be $8 and change. So naturally I questioned the price because I've never paid that much for a side of eggs ( and for the record it's not about the money I mean it is but it's more about principal than anything else). If it's my routine to get the same exact thing off the menu at all locations and then it randomly ends up being almost $6 more, it's normal to question it, especially because I just ordered it 2 nights ago. Well I guess that was the wrong thing to do according to the staff working this night because the lady rolled her eyes at me obviously because she questioned the price I said I pay & kept telling me that the eggs have always been a dollar and some change for each egg and I'm trying to explain to her that I've never paid that much for a side of five or six eggs and I get them often. So she insisted on getting her manager so that we could figure it all out. The manager whom I've never seen there before until this night proceeds to tell me that it is a dollar and some change and the price has been this way for 3 years. So I had to disagree that point because I know 1000% of a fact that I've ordered from this location many times before and all the times have been well within 3 years timeframe and actually even more recent then that. At this point( I believe the manager's name is Jesse) he proceeds to talk to me with a smirk on his face the entire time as if the situation was funnny to him. He was very condescending and sarcastic about the entire situation. And in my opinion he blew it completely out of portion and tried to make me feel as if I was making the entire story up just to try to get the eggs for that price. I had already told the young girl that was originally helping me that I didn't want the order of eggs if it was going to be that much because it wasn't worth it to me I can go home and make eggs I was just getting it out of convenience. So because we kept going back and forth we weren't getting anywhere It was doing nothing but wasting time. I was so upset and frustrated at the whole ordeal that I had asked the manager for the corporate number as well as the owner's name because I was under the impression that he was the manager not the owner. He then refused to give me the owner's name he actually quoted "why do you need to know who the owner is I'm not going to give that to you" Now as far as I know if I'm a customer and there is a dispute between an employee and myself and we're not able to come to resolution, I feel that I have every right to ask for upper management but because it's a franchise I understand that it would mean I needed to get in contact with the owner as well as the corporate office too. Also keep in mind while all this is going on at the window, the car behind me was being a complete douche bag by revving his engine really loud honking his horn non-stop and shouting at me cursing me out not having a clue of what was going on between me and the employee at the window. Now it's one thing to be frustrated and impatient because you're waiting to get your food but to be obnoxious, loud, disrespectful and entitled is another and taking things to the extreme. This probably went on for a good four to five minutes and then before I was about to drive off the manager at the window proceeds to pick up his cell phone and record me as if I was being the difficult one, intentionally trying to create a scene and it seemed like he feeds off of drama based of his manerisms and smirky smile on his face the whole time interacting with me... I have it on video. I will be reaching out to the owner and corporate or the bbb whatever is necessary and will not be returning to this location EVER AGAIN! read more

Of course, we don't expect five star customer service from a fast food joint, however, the acknowledgement of another human being in front of you is generally considered the barest minimum of effort. Well, I am in Vac and have less than 15 minutes to order, eat and make my way into a Raw Foods Class. So where would one eat minutes before entering a Raw Foods Tutorial? JindaB, of course. First thing I notice when I walk in is that there seems to be a lot of Cowboys eating here, due to the high concentration of cowboy hats and dirty jeans. As I am trying to decide what is the most responsible item to order off the menu, I start to see that I am getting funny stares from the kitchen. I am a smily guy and generally get along well with all, but I notice a couple people giving me the, Who is this strange man in our part of town look. I go to place my order and am waiting behind a family of 6 or 7 and, while they are speaking in spanish, I can tell that they are no longer ordering and just shooting the shit. I make full eye contact and don't waiver until the cashier can tell that I am ready to go, so she finally breaks her conversation to wait on me. I order a Teryaki Bowl, but ask that the sauce be put on the side. I also order an egg sandwich with just tomato and the woman seems to be short circuiting from my complicated instructions. Upon recieving one too many puzzled looks about wanting my sauce on the side and not wanting the Sourdough Breakfast sandwich, just the egg and tomato on a bun. which by the way, is done this way every time I order it at other JindaBs, she makes some gutteral noise and goes to get the manager. My time is running short and I feel as though I walked into The Twilight Zone starring an all Hispanic cast. No subtitles on this episode folks, I am wingin it. The manager comes and tells me that they can't put sauce on the side and that their register doesn't give them the option to order my sandwich any other way than a BreakFast Sourdough. I disagree and have to show them how to put my order into their register, I have never worked at a fast food place, but I seem to get it better than the lady in the manager shirt. Their Prices turn out to be higher than any JB I have eaten at and I am starting to feel as though I am getting the Gringo Go Home treatment. After my order is finally placed and I am waiting for my food, a man comes in and recieves a sort of cheering from the back of the kitchen. He stands and speaks to the cashier in Spanish, I assume something was said about me, due to a couple glances in my direction. As he is flirting with the cashier, I hear him say, "Mucho Pollo." I have enough understanding of language to know that this guy is getting the hook-up. Good for him, I just want out of there. I am getting really low on time by now and realize that they are expediting the guys food who ordered the Mucho Pollo deluxe. I am ready to go off at this point, but my order appears and they somehow got it correct. As I am trying to eat as fast as possible in my car, I see that my Teri Bowl is the weakest excuse for a $5 entree that I have seen in a while. If I had not really wanted to be in that Raw Class, I would have gone back in there and exploded on some people. By no means, am I assuming that these people sucked because of their race, but damnit, I would have liked it if either, they placed a sign that said "No Gringos" in the window or had just one person in there with enough grasp of the English language to understand my simple requests. I don't know why everyone knocks this place. It's a franchise owned fast food joint. They are a little slow, but that's because your food is fresh. And yes, it may cost a little more than some of the other JitB's, but the food tastes better. Every time I go, the workers are always very polite, and even ask you at the end of your transaction how they did. I always say "Wonderful". I love the large selection, and two menus.
