Ordering at the counter took a few extra minutes because it took us a little while to figure out how the menu worked, but once we did, everything went smoothly. I ordered a carnitas bowl with black beans, rice, and all the toppings you'd typically find in a carnitas burrito, while my wife went with a cheese quesadilla. While waiting for our food, I enjoyed a bottle of Pacifico and some chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice balance, not too spicy and not too mild. The carnitas were tender and flavorful, and the bowl was filling without feeling overly heavy, and my wife was happy with her quesadilla as well. The restaurant has a bright, inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. A couple of tables hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived, but we quickly found a clean spot and settled in. When I called the restaurant to report the issue, I told the person who answered the phone that I was given the wrong order and they asked me to wait on hold for five minutes. After waiting on hold for FIFTEEN MINUTES, someone on the other end hung up the phone. I called back three times and all of my calls were ignored. We went back to try it again and most of my original review stands. This time we got nachos and loaded fries. The fries were seasoned waffle fries which I wasn't expecting. But the nice thing is they hold a lot of toppings. The nachos were good, however I wish they had put more queso on. They did put some queso on the plate which was good. But half of the chips that were on the top were dry. Their queso is quite good so more would've taken the nachos to the next level. The portion sizes are generous though. It's definitely enough to share. I would not suggest getting the Jamaica. It didn't taste homemade. It tasted more like it was from a mix or something like that. However the self serve lemon and cucumber water is a nice touch. Service was good. When we were done eating outside one of the ladies was cleaning the table. I went straight to the front registered, and told them my name and got my California Burrito. Man, it was heavy, which is a good sign in my book haha. The fries inside were crispy and the carne asada was well seasoned. I really liked their special sauce and their corn. Everything about the burrito was very good.
