Sorry to say I am reluctantly done eating at In-N-Out restaurants. After a lengthy drive and stopping for a hopefully pleasant casual lunch it turned into an absolutely awful experience. Finding parking at this location was a nightmare. It's similar to other In-N-Out locations. Not enough and the layout is impossible to navigate. Plus the line for the drive up window blocks many of the available spaces. We, like others, had to park in a parking lot across the street... no doubt that business loves that spillover??? First using the restroom was disgusting. It was filthy, not maintained and way too small for the volume of people. As a model they should know better by now. Does any staff check it occassionally? It was 1:30 on a weekday and they just couldn't keep up with the orders and the lines didn't move and it got incredibly backed up. Folks were getting super irritated. Then the bedlam of finding a place to sit and eat. People hovered over tables waiting for that last bite to grab a place. Children ran around unruly, screaming and yelling (OK, that's a parent issue, but staff should be trained as they walk around to tell them that's not acceptable). Then, the most disappointing part- the food. I'm sorry it's not what it used to be. The volume is apparently sacrificing quality. What happened? Even the fries were soggy and greasy. I should give it one star, but this has been a long standing mainstay for quick quality fast food. Sorry, no more. I left this experience upset and with a lump in my stomach. They had a model that worked but didn't expand the corporate 'mold' to meet the demand. read more

This has happened too often, I hope this will be my last time with my note above to keep reminding me to drive to the other locations instead... Atmosphere - Very limited parking And with busy Canes here also! Parking is a challenge. Aggressive drivers coming out of the In N Out drive thru and pedestrians do NOT have the right of way here. Consistent, but this location seems smaller than others. Drive thru was much faster than all the other locations I visited. Drive thru is also entered from the right side of parking; you need signage as too many people make u-turns to get in line... Open 7 days a week from 10:30am till 1am or 1:30am; see Yelp or their website. Service - The good news is that the service is still 5 stars; quick, efficient, productive, etc. Thank you. Just need to replace the bun toaster team! But honestly it doesn't matter how great the service is, if the food is NOT edible... Price - $5, very affordable. Great value. I rarely have issues at any In-N-Out locations, and Vacaville was no different. We had a long drive home, so we decided to stop here and eat first. The drive-thru line was CRAZY long, so we decided to walk in. That didn't help much--there were still tons of people waiting. The cashier wasn't the friendliest we've had, but to be fair, he looked exhausted and it was right in the middle of the dinner rush. I'm 100% sure he was giving us his absolute best with what he was working through. We placed our order and sat down to wait for our food. This location is smaller than the one we have in the Bay, but it was still very clean and cozy. The music wasn't too loud, so we could actually chat while we waited. We did have to wait over 20 minutes, but like I said, it was the dinner rush. I was starving, so maybe this isn't the most accurate rating--or maybe it is--but the food was delicious and came out hot and fresh. They did pack it into three bags, which was kind of weird since it wasn't that much food, but all in all, we'd definitely stop by again. Just maybe not during dinner rush. read more

In n out is one of our favorites. We love the burgers and animal style fries. Service and ambiance similar across locations, and setup for a good experience regardless of which spot you stop at. This location can get super busy and long drive through lines. That is my only reason for a 4 star. Nothing bad to say about the food or quality - just can be a bit longer wait time here than the other locations in woodland and Davis. Recommend in n out! read more

Riding through Vacaville to get back home, we decided to stop here to get our favorite menu item but were thoroughly disappointed. All the other In-N-Outs I've ever been to have always had a long line, but the food was always good. This is the first time in my In-N-Out history where we got fries that were fried way too hard for both my burger meal and my daughter's animal fries. These fries were not slightly overcooked. They were burnt on the ends and you could see it, and they did not take the time to redo the fries to make sure that my order was satisfactory. I don't live in Vacaville. We were just passing through and I did not have time to stop and complain so we just ate the food anyway because we hadn't eaten all day and we had to get back to Sacramento by a certain time, but I promise you we will never stop at this location again. to see that these fries were extremely overcooked with burnt tips and to not take the time to redo the order was completely unacceptable. read more

We order it the same way every time but get different orders every time. Ordered extra onions? No, you get no onions. No cheese? Nah lactose intolerance is a myth. Extra sauce? It's one of the best In-N-Outs we've been to, that's for sure. I know most chains are pretty much the same any location you go, but some locations stand out. This one is a good example of that. I'm not sure what it is, but the produce and burgers taste so much more fresh and delicious here. I'm a big fan of In-N-Out, and this one is definitely a good one! They are busy and the lines get long both inside and out, but the lines moves fast and the employees are nice. The bathrooms are also super clean. First off I do wanna say I like in-n-out but I do think it can be a little overly hyped. The food is good but it's not a 5 star burger for me (in my opinion). BUT it's a good burger for the price and also if you have fur babies who want a small patty just order it and request a plain patty with no salt or pepper and they will do that for you. First time at this location. We pulled in to grab a quick bite at one of our favorite spots after a long travel day, around 9:30pm. We expected the typical long lines, but were surprised that we had no line to wait! We ordered a bunch of cheese burgers and a double double, regular fries and animal fries, and a few vanilla shakes. All of the food tasted amazing and we got it pretty quickly considering the size of our order. We arrived just before a rush of high schoolers, which created the line we expected, I guess we arrived at the perfect time. If you haven't been to In n Out, expect a line to order inside dining and a long line for the drive through. The process isn't particularly fast and efficient, but I think it's worth the wait. In and out in general has been consistent. Their kitchen is always fast paced whenever I visit. Mad props to the staff, with dealing the high stress environment. No way I can do that and I've worked in the kitchen before. This location has a small parking lot. It's close to another fast food joint so the parking lot is a cluster f**k. There's always a long line at the drive thru. I usually order inside for dine in or take out. On this particular visit it took 30 minutes from waiting in line to order to receiving the food. They have 2 ketchup dispensers but 1 of them was out of order. There was no sign. Their prices is affordable. Way cheaper than the more big name fast food burger joints. My go to is the cheese burger, animal style and fries. Their fries is always fresh. You can see them in the kitchen slicing potatoes. I've never had a bad meal at any of the in and outs. read more

Found a place to park my motorhome near by and walked in and ordered 2 #1 double doubles meal to go. The cashier was a young lady named Val. She was polite, and efficient reading back my order for accuracy. The food was delicious. I noted how well the crew worked together and how clean the dining area is. Stopped by the drive thru for some dinner tonight with the family a little before 8pm. The drive thru was pretty empty and so was inside the restaurant. Usually this In-N-Out is packed with a long drive thru line, but for some reason not today. The burgers are great as usual, the fries weren't as hot as they usually are and the "well done" fries today were extremely well done to almost burnt (usually they are not to the point of almost burnt). Fortunately, I don't we don't mind crispy fries, but I would not usually like them cooked to the point of "extra well done." I guess today they had plenty of time to extra cook the fries since they weren't all that busy. I guess to get perfectly cooked "well done" fries, I will need to come come on a busy time. Pro tip: if you like their spread, you can ask for extra spread packets (free) to put on your burger or what I do is dip my fries in the spread (I am too cheap to pay extra for animal fries). read more

Lines stretched around the parking lot, areas were cordoned off, and the pedestrian traffic was heavy. Seems like some city planner was asleep at the wheel when this combo was approved. It's an In-N-Out with super limited parking, FYI and a quick detour off the highway. This In-N-Out, like every other In-N-Out is reliably quick, good, with incredible service. Granted, we were there at about 11:15am mid-week and it was a bit quiet, although they still had some business. Service was great. At the place was spick and span clean. They helped bring my food to the table and asked if they could help with anything else. They offered my son a hat, stickers and even free hot chocolate, something they offer for kids when it's raining. That's some caring customer service for a fast food restaurant, if ya ask me, and you're reading my review, so you're asking me. One thing to note: no changing tables in the bathroom. What's up with that? But, the bathroom was clean, so that's always a good thing. The food is fresh: from the fries to the produce. I actually find their shakes to be weak, and McDonald's fries are way better, but you know this spot is way healthier than its competitors. The order: Burger, animal and protein style.
