My fiancé and I went into to eat dinner here our burrito had to be made three times my fiancé asked the waiter for sour cream and cheese on his burrito and it was non existent to top it off the waiter argued with my fiance basically calling him a liar we will never come here again not only was the food bad but the service was bad too. Stopped in here while I was running errands to grab something to go. I had never eaten here before and it is very charming inside. The staff were friendly and the food was made quickly. I had their vegetarian burrito and made it vegan by omitting the cheese and sour cream. My boyfriend had a chicken burrito and they both were very good. Got food to go. Ordered 2 Al pastor burritos and a cheese quesadilla. He asked if I wanted super. I said yes. Rang up the order and it was $40+ I was kinda confused by how much each item costs. Food was prepared pretty quick. Look inside the bag. No salsa. I shouldn't have to asked for that. Get home. Only got 1 napkin(minor issue) but we ordered 3 items. Been going to favelas since the 1980s when they first opened there was only two places that had a super buritos them and the og burito palace both were so good burito was so big and taste so damn good then favelas came along on north texas was a lil more fancy than burito palace with a burito that was better with flavored options on the tortias place was untouchable hands down the best burito u can get then they opened the down town fairfeild location it was great as well then came the vacaville spot food was great prices started to climb and food was not as good as it once was but if u treat them with respect and make it clear how u want your meal it will be fire i will ad i love there habanero salsa its so good but they are stingy with it why it baffles me as salsa is one of the cheapest things to make i always ask for the habnaro when i get home its never there its that mild salsa wich is ok but its not what i like so when i go i make sure its in the bag before i leave yes prices are lil high for food thats mostly cooked day before they heat up as u order so there not wasting food i get it but when i was young all food was made fresh on the spot so good i will eat here long as they are around great food place is romantic as shit at night people screw the price its worth it because there food is amazing when fresh !!!!! This restaurant is nice and clean!! Friendly staff. You order at the counter first then they serve you. They have beers and delicious sangria. When you sit down, they serve you chips and salsa while you wait for your food to arrive. I think I ate 3 chips and then VOILA! Here comes my food! That was fast! The food is good and fresh. I really enjoyed my taco salad in the tortilla bowl. First of all, the shell was crispy and not oily or old. This was the first time I actually ate the entire bowl! Secondly, this is truly a salad. The food is great, but the fight to get salsa with your burrito or taco is no bueno. If u have a burrito or any entrée you should be given a salsa. If u want more sure u can charge me. But gosh darn it why can't a girl get some salsa with her burrito?? And when u ask them for more they get irritated with u. Why give me chips with my two tacos if I have no salsa??! I'm so confused. Randomly came here, because the Thai place wouldn't seat us. Claimed they were "closed", even though the open sign was on. We ended up here, and I was surprised at how good they were. I normally like getting quesadillas, but opted for a burrito that day. Y'all I'll never day no to seafood. Got a shrimp burrito, and asked them to make it a super burrito. The prices are WAY too high and the food does not live up to the price at all. I got a Favelas burrito enchilada style, the enchilada sauce is way too sweet and it should not cost $20. I didn't get any sides of salsa that I asked for, but there was one in the bag of chips, which was watery and flavorless. The only positive is the food was done and ready quickly. I have had much better tasting and much better priced Mexican food in West Sacramento, so if you're up for the drive I would head that way and not waste your time with any of the Mexican spots here in Vacaville. Stopped by for dinner on two different occassions. The style of this restaurant is "order first, then seat yourself," though the register area is a bit small so it can get a little crowded at the door. Overall, the dining area is very clean. The workers wipe down and clean tables right after a group leaves. Since you can see the kitchen from the dinining room, you can also see that the kitchen is very clean and that they scrub their grill often. They also seem to have a strong exhaust fan over their grill, which is a PLUS so that the restaurant doesn't smell like straight up food. The employees are also really friendly and attentive to anything you need and serve you with a smile. For both of my meals here, I ordered... Regular carne asada burrito - Inside, it had rice, beans, and pico de gallo. The meat is nicely marinated and not dry. However, I felt like something was missing from my burrito both times. Overall, pretty solid burrito experience. Horchata - really good! I got the last bit from the container and I was worried that it would taste watery from all the melted ice. I thought wrong! It had the right amount of sweetness and the perfect amount of cinnamon that none of the flavors were too overpowering. Probably would consider the drink the best part of my meal. read more

I've been here a few times and it used to be good and reasonably priced. I ordered a chili relleno plate for lunch to go. No drink, no nothing. $19.51 out the door. I get home and I barely saw anything green in my relleno. What I did see was extremely thin piece of paper like pepper. There was hard, to chewy cheese and omg, the batter was burnt on the bottom, felt like I was chewing on a dam dry sponge. That was the texture. There was no stem which is typically part of the dish and resembles a chili relleno. Just horrible. My pepper not only paper thin, but was all of 3" long and an inch wide. All I got was a sponge type thick batter and it was gross. Never again. $19.51 for this was ridiculous. Oh they also gave me chips but no salsa. What good are chips with no salsa?? Way too expensive and not worth the money. There is a Mexican restaurant in the Alamo plaza that has great Rellenos with rice and beans, and I got two Rellenos for $16.00 and change. I ordered through grub hub and put instructions for adding a side of salsa and they didn't give me any salsa. The lady I spoke to acknowledge it was there, but said she couldn't go anything about it. She told me I could drive there to get my salsa. I would've drove, but the whole reason why I used grub hub was because I just had surgery and can't drive.
