This place is very beautiful and is a little more of a professional beach house feel. The espresso is very tasty and the drip coffee isn't bad either. I love their matcha tea drinks and the cold brew is my go-to. They have cute little pastries and lots of cute small healthy snacks. It is a little pricier here but they do have a loyalty card. The customer service is always so warm and welcoming and patient. It seems like the staff is very accustomed to making connections and valuing their customers. Very quick service too. I would like to see more events and community engagement from this cafe but hopefully it will come with time. read more

Visiting from out of town and was hoping to grab a good coffee, however the staff was very uninterested in the customers and more interested in leaving. I ordered an iced coffee- a pretty regular drink and it was horrible. I asked her if she could possibly fix it.. she was not happy and gave me a 3 dollar refund which was not even what I paid. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon, was immediately saddened that they were sold out of maple vanilla syrup. However, the latte I did get was wonderful and the barista was pretty accommodating to my needs/changes. I'm seeing a lot of other reviews that mention that this place is pricey. While I agree it was a little more expensive than your average quadi-bougie coffee shop, there's a lot that explains why. Maybe running a business in babylon is prohibitively expensive. Maybe the baristas here are being paid a decent wage-everyone deserves that. The coffee certainly tasted good. This isn't the place to get your daily morning brew, but I'll certainly be back for another cup of coffee with friends while I'm hanging around town. read more

The only coffee shop I could find in Suffolk County with oat milk! I had a delicious latte and a fresh vegan chocolate chip cookie. All of the girls behind the counter were very sweet and helpful. Wow! Real egg creme's with a shot of expresso! Genius to par those up. Has all the other coffees you would expect. Nice decor, many tables, nice background music, ceramic coffee cups. So, getting word that Babylon had a new coffee shop in town and since my friends and I get together weekly for informal business meetings, I was excited to try it out. The place looks incredible and the staff is quite friendly. Feeling under the weather, I ordered a hot chocolate and was disappointed to find out that it is only offered in an 8 oz cup. I understand as a culture, we are often gluttonuous, however, I think I can handle 12 ozs. $4.62... ouch. 20oz. at Starbuck is about the same price. I was still interested in getting it since maybe it was a gourmet, made with some of the finest imported chocolates, so I went for it. Honestly, I was completely disappointed. It was tasteless. It truly tasted like flavored water. I when my friend's arrived I had asked them what they thought about their coffees and they were underwhelmed. My thoughts, if you're going to charge premium prices, you need to wow your patrons. Yesterday was not the case. Off day, maybe. Either lower your prics or better your product. Will, I go again with the hopes these are just growing pains. read more

I'm very sad to report how utterly disappointed I am with this place. First time I went I got an iced coffee. It was very weak and generic tasting. No distinguishable notes or flavors in their cold brew AT ALL. The price was high. Next time I got a tea and a croissant. The tea was quite expensive as well I believe $4. For a generic berry tea. The croissant wasnt good at all as Long Island in general is a desolate wasteland for croissants. It had that cheesy taste that butter croissants should absolutely not have. The final time I went in was today and i didn't want to leave a bad review for this place but I was quite perturbed. I paid $7 for a small mocha. I've been to some of the best coffee houses/cafes in the country and have lived in Montreal a city renowned for their coffees and espresso drinks. And I've NEVER paid so much for a small mocha. I was extremely shocked at the price and all the barista had to say was "well it's two shots of espresso and chocolate so....." I did not like it. It should have been one heck of a mocha.... Was not. It had a burnt taste ! Could not taste any of the mocha :( Babylon needed another coffee house besides the Babylon bean. But jack Jack's while it is a nice location and comfortable decor doesn't step up to the bar at all. Quality and price needs to improve. I really hope it does! read more

Stopped in really quickly between a train transfer. This coffee shop is obviously new and I think every employee greeted me. It was kind of awkwardly quiet with faint music in the background. All I ordered was a regular coffee - nothing fancy, but it was actually really good. The coffee was fresh and good quality. Jack's offers pastries, lattes, espressos - and also advertises its organic options. Overall, this place has a lot of potential. A good alternative to chain coffee shops. You'll pay slightly more here but you will taste the difference. Will return for their baked goods. read more

Cozy little cafe a short walk from the Babylon train station has a rustic setting and a very friendly staff. The coffees and especially the hot chocolates are very good. The pastries, however, are quite blah. It's a quiet place to relax so it's great to catch up on reading or any work you need to do. Definitely check this place out. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place. It's been under the radar in the village for about 6 months. They recently got a new sign which is how we noticed it. They have a dog bowl of water outside so of course any place that does that is always inviting. The coffee is wonderful. The treats are delicious. I would love to try the grilled cheese next visit. This place advertises vegan online and throughout the store, yet when I walked in and looked at the menu, nothing stood out to me as being vegan so I asked the girl at the counter, "what's vegan here?" And she pointed out the oatmeal and the toast... which are pretty much the only vegan options at any regular restaurant, she also told me that she could take the eggs/cheese out of anything. I was pretty disappointed, but I have a feeling she just didn't have knowledge of the menu or veganism. On top of that, it took about 10 minutes for them to even take my order and another 10 to get it. It tasted like something I could make at home but quadruple the price. Coffee is excellent. Can't complain about the coffee here at all its probably one of the best around... The food however takes forever to prepare. You would assume a Saturday morning when it's most likely going to be busy you would have more than one guy preparing food in the back. I've been in a few times and ordered coffee. Great cold brew and lattes. Yesterday I was out early and stopped in and ordered a latte and their Egg Sandwich. Eggs, Bacon, Cheese, Avocado with a Siracha sauce on a pretzel croissant. Possibly the best egg sandwich I've ever had. Another customer had their oatmeal served to them while I was waiting and it looked awesome. Maybe next time. Is it pricey there? Yes, a little. I'm actually kind of obsessed with Jack Jack's so this review may come across biased and it totally is! I have come here regularly for the 3 years that I've lived in Babylon and it absolutely has that "third place environment" that (let's face it) every good coffee shop should. For myself, I grab an oat milk turmeric latte and oat milk cappuccino for my husband - both deliciously made with love! I am vegan and my husband is not so, between the both of us, we've tried a variety of the pastries - I recommend that you take any opportunity you have to grab one while you're here! If you're not hungry at the moment - no worries - take it to go! I promise, you'll thank me later. I've even asked them to specially make me a vegan, gluten-free cake to bring to a BBQ and it was AHmazing! As I am no baking expert, I asked them to make anything and I was blown away by a light, fluffy, strawberry cake! So, so good! As if the level of deliciousness wasn't reason enough to stop in here every chance I get, they also have local art on the wall, musicians playing in the lobby and the best staff! I'm so thankful our little village has such a great coffee shop and just want to post a little love here on Yelp in hopes that other people have a chance to enjoy as well! read more
