Dr. Ohanesian and his staff are exemplary in every way possible. I'm not a skilled enough writer to really do this justice, but I'll try! I moved to Coarsegold from the Bay Area and hadn't yet identified a new dentist. It started the night a veneer fell off, front and center of my smile, the night before flying out for an important event the next morning. Panicked, I reached out to Dr. Ohanesian and to my amazement, he texted me back (at 11PM!) and had me come in before normal working hours in order to squeeze me in. He completely saved the day! I just went back to take care of a couple of things and just can't say enough regarding how kind, patient, compassionate, funny, and what a great dentist he is. No pain medication helped, and it was clear the tooth was badly infected. I had my old dentist for 23 yrs. He retired and sent all of my husband's and my information here. We were very upset. My husband had just had x-rays. They "had to do more x-rays" because they didn't do them there. I feel like all they wanted was our hard earned money. I have a degree in Radiology. I asked for no x-rays because of the radiation. The more radiation you get to your eyes you can get cataracts, and the more radiation you get to your thyroid you can get thyroid cancer. Their answer was no that I "had to have x-rays". Then my insurance changed. They're not contracted. They wanted us to pay $600 upfront for our exams and cleanings. I called and asked if we could have only the cleanings until I can change my insurance in Nov. We would pay the $300. The office manager said no. I have to pay for the cleaning, exam, and x-rays. I didn't even ask how much the x-rays were. They would not work with us. No compassion or understanding for us as patients. I will never return. He just lost two patients that he could have had for another 23+ yrs. read more

The first time I went in, everyone was super nice and very welcoming. This is where I point out that I live life with a service dog. This office gets 4 paws up for being super accommodating and service dog friendly. They really make us feel welcome. Dr. Ohanesian, Sicily, Debbie..heck every last one of em are super friendly, knowledgeable and you can see they really, genuinely care. I've got some extensive issues with my mouth and they have been absolutely fabulous in handling it and providing me with realistic outcomes they are also awesome at managing my dental office fears. I am a travel nurse and while in Fresno I broke a crown one morning. After researching dentists in the area, i came across Dr. Ohanesian and his staff got me in that same day!!! Everyone in the office was warm and welcoming and Dr. Ohanesian did a fantastic job! I knew I had needed other crowns replaced from x-rays at my hometown dentist that I had put off while traveling, but he was so good that I went ahead and had a total of four crowns replaced and a dental cleaning while in Fresno. I live in St. Petersburg, FL and take new assignments every 3 months, so going back is unlikely unless I get another contract in Fresno. But I totally recommend him and his super staff!!! Dr. Jack is truly one of the most personable dentists you'll ever meet. He is compassionate , thoughtful, and very careful and conservative with his patient care decisions. He doesn't pressure you at all ( which is unusual in a dentist office for me as I have experienced this at other dentists in the past). He genuinely wants what's best for you regardless of the money or cost. I've never felt like he pushes for anything not necessary. He has always been more than fair and offers many options I've been a patient of his for about 7 years now. I wasn't able to afford or access much dental care as a child so I have had a few issues over the years as an adult. Dr Ohanesian has exceeded my expectations for the problems I've had. I had several tooth fractures as well as a couple crowns and root canals he has helped with. He also knows where to draw his own limits and isn't afraid to refer to other dental sub-specialist when needed such as for my root canals. I recently had another fracture from probably excessive grinding/stress and he went out of his way to coordinate with the lab he works with to get my crown replaced. I was astounded at his ability to get this done without any extra charges to me. While in his office I overheard him sharing with another patient many different options to help her including dental procedures as well as over the counter options. I was amazed bc he treats every patient like they were part of his own family. In fact my own mother had a recent issue where a tooth needed to be extracted and he got her in within a week! He explained everything to her and she had a fantastic outcome and is no longer in pain. This kind of care is special bc he definitely cares about helping patients get out of pain. His staff is equally as amazing and so gentle and kind. They are also super fun to talk to and remember you as a person not just as a patient. His hygienists felicia and debbie are rock solid and his front and back staff seem to work as one team. As a doctor myself I have very high expectations of other doctors but Dr Jack truly has surpassed my own expectations of him and his practice. I will be a lifelong patient and still drive over 5 hours away to see him because he is that good !! Dr Jack Ohanesian is hands down the best dentist I've used. Back in 2014, I had a badly abscessed tooth, and VERY limited funds to extract it. I can't remember what his price was at the time, but it was more than what I had to spare. It was badly infected...not even narcotic pain killers would give relief anymore. I explained how bad it was infected and told him how much money I had. He flat out said "I'll do it for that". He got it out, and once the numbing wore off, the pain was FAR more mild than when it was infected. Back then, I'd prolong going to the dentist as long as I possibly could until nothing could kill the pain. This very first visit with Dr O really changed my mindset (why do I keep prolonging this when I could literally have the source of the pain completely gone within minutes???). I've been using Dr O since that dreadful day, and each visit is an absolute pleasure. I've always hated dental work, especially extractions. With Dr O, I actually look forward to my next dentist visit. His bedside manner is second to none and he sees to it that you are as comfortable and relaxed as he can possibly get you. Prior to Dr. Ohanesian taking over, Dr. Elkins was literally the only dentist I had ever known and I was very nervous about his retirement. (I had dental visit anxiety as a kid.) The facility and office: Dr. Ohanesian modernized the office with nice clean modern colors, art, furniture, and wood floors. You don't feel like your in an old sterile dental office. It's beautifully done. They use text messaging to remind and confirm your appointments which is extremely convenient and appreciated. The staff: When I walk in the front door I'm greeted by first name, and always with a friendly, welcoming attitude. My hygienist, Felicia, remembers and keeps up with life events, notices when I change my hair, never fails to ask about my recent travels, and on top of that is always extremely gentle in cleaning!!
