They had the car I wanted BUT was disappointed that it only had one key fob and though they had a blank, they refused to provide it. When I retuned home, I saw that the driver's wiper was ripped, so I replaced bot wipers at a cost of $50+. Now I've noticed that they only used 2 screws to mount the license plates, instead of 4. Came here money for an oil change and rotation. My appointment was for 1:30pm, I recieved emails and text messages on the night before. When I get there, no appointment. The guy taking care of me didn't mention it, I just figured when he kept asking me information I already gave them on the phone and even showed him the appt reminder text and he didn't make a fuse, just said he'll just add me. After 40mins or so, I ask the staff how much longer. I saw my car up on hydraulics with spare coverings where my tires go, with my hood open. The man behind the desk reassured me it wouldn't be much longer. We waited over an hour because the man behind the desk noticed me still there and asked if I recieved my receipt to check out. He said they were short staff but it seeed very slow to me. So I knew I was forgotten. It didn't help I brought my boyfriend with me who was growing very hangry. read more

I asked questions like would this make me owe more and he said "no you're just lowering your payments". Little did I know I get my paper work and it shows I owe 19k now and what they did without speaking to me is bought my car and sold it to me for MORE. so I'm going through the paperwork and it shows they sold the car back to me for 16,745 add the taxes comes out to 18846.26. This place tried to rip me off BAD. I bought a Chevy sonic and it was having some shaking issues. Explained my issues while my car was still under warranty and they told me it was the gas I was putting in. A few months later after my warranty expired, I brought it back and explained the high grade gas didn't make a difference. After further investigation, it was established that the trans mount was cracked and needed to be fixed. The cost would be out of pocket and they gave me an estimate for almost $2,000. After consulting with corporate Chevy they did not agree to help cover the cost. Keep in mind my car only had 19,000 miles on it. I brought it into a local shop in Berwyn and had the trans mount fixed. They charged me $140. I am so disappointed in this dealership for the unbelievable treatment they gave me regarding a car I purchased from them. Please be aware of the over estimates they provide and get a second opinion. read more

The salespeople lied to me about offering loaners for repairs. They have a few loaners that are given out on a first-come first-served basis and even then it is begrudgingly. What they always offer is to take you to the Enterprise down the block. Sometimes they pay for the rental and sometimes they don't. Either way, it is one more step in the hassle of getting your car repaired. Diagnostics can take DAYS. This becomes even more frustrating when you are in a rental. They have no need to rush because you are out the money and not them. There is no incentive to get you taken care of since they aren't even loaning you a car. My Jeep is a total lemon. It has been repaired twice a year every year since I got it six years ago. A few examples - hood rusted at 30,000 miles even with the special protective coating, oil pan leaked, multiple emissions issues, A/C as well as the compressor leaked, radiator leaked, seat belts don't retract (I'm on my third set in six years), headlights go out every two years (at $450 a piece), leather seats started disintegrating at 25,000 miles, and the list goes on. With my many repairs, I have spent quite a bit of time in the waiting area. Every single time there is a customer losing their mind because their oil change (with an appointment) is taking over two hours. Seriously, do yourself a favor and find a different dealership. Actually, find a different manufacturer while you're at it. read more

I wanted a new Dodge Charger that was priced at 37,000 they claimed I couldn't get approved for that amount and considered I purchase a used Dodge Charger that was supposed to be 27,260 that was on Yazan computer. I have NEVER purchased a used vehicle, I only buy new and have always bought every car I've owned new. So I felt I could put my trust in this dealership and salesman Yazan. But nope I was sold a used Dodge Charger for 36,000 after all finance was said and done. I also put money down as well don't let me forget that. So I've had the car for a week and guess what wasn't disclosed to me about the used vehicle. It was in a previous accident front end is offset. Cracked windshield reservoir under hood. Right door panel is not connected because clips are missing. Hood of car is off centered from previous accident so it doesn't close properly. Bad breaks and rotors are warped as well. Car was running a little rough so I took it to get looked at and it turns out I need a new transmission on a 63,000 mile Chevy. The service department suggested I trade it in, of course right? I called the 1800 number for Chevy and all they kept saying the car has no warranty due to the years not miles. MILES ruin transmissions not time. A Chevy transmission giving out at 63k miles? Just wanted to share a unprofessional exprience with Jack Phelan Chevrolet in Stickney. We had our car in for repair. When it was finished, a shuttle car was sent to pick us up to take us back to the dealership to pick up the car. On the way there, the driver decides to turn on the radio. What does he play? Gangster Rap! The kind where you hear the F-word and N-word every 5 seconds. We're not prudes, but playing Gangster Rap while customers are in your car is not professional. Especially when he's on the clock working for the company and representing the company. It doesn't give a good image of the employees working at Jack Phelan. If he was going to play the radio, the driver should have asked us first if we wanted to hear the radio. And if so, what we wanted to hear. If the driver wants to listen to garbage Rap music filled with F-words and N-words, he can do that BEFORE he picks a customer up, and AFTER he drops them off. Unless the customer requests it, or is asked if they want the radio on, the radio should be kept off in the shuttle car. read more

Beware of dishonesty! This is for the service department. So, I went to Jack because my trusted mechanic told me that my oil was leaking onto the engine and causing fumes. Since I recently had my oil pan changed at Jack Phelan and hadn't had any issues prior my mechanic thought it was a good idea to save money for them to check it out, since my part was under warranty with Jack. I'd also like to note that my mechanic was closed at the time that I had an emergency issue where I had to replace the oil pan and this started my dealing with Jack. I just wanted them to look at the oil pan and my squeaky door but they ended up doing a complete diagnostic which cost me 158 dollars (my mechanic does diagnostics for free)! They told me I needed an array of things totalling up to 3500 dollars! I take my car in regularly for maintenance and also if there are any issues with my car I take it in right away! A few of the things that they said I needed to get done I have recently gotten done at my mechanic like a tune up and spark plugs and I replaced some of the hoses that they said needed replacement. I have receipts and am still under warranty for those parts. This didnt sit well with me. They clearly were being dishonest and were trying to take advantage of a situation maybe because I'm a woman and they assume I dont know anything about cars but I have a friend who is a mechanic and use to work at a dealer and another friend who currently works at a dealer out of state so I know my stuff! But beware ladies even gentlemen because you could very well be charged for something you dont need and it doesnt seem to bother them in the least bit to do so. Lastly, I didnt have a ride and so they gave me a ride to work, so they actually earned a star for that. The driver assured me I would have a ride back, that there were 4 guys on staff in the evening to just call when I was ready. So when Jack called to tell me about my cars issues and the price of repairs and I declined to pay 3500 for said services, he informed me that he wouldnt be able to send out a ride for me that there was only 1 guy on staff and he was backed up (more lies). I told him that the driver told me there would be 4 guys and he said well ok where do you work again and I told him and he said it is outside of the 5 mile radius, his manager already said they couldn't pick me up. I didnt want to argue any more, so I found my own ride. So overall they lied about me needing a tune up, that the spark plugs were old, about some of the hoses needing replacement, they charged me 158 when all I wanted them to do was check the oil pan and my squeaky door, which he said they put some oil in it but I dont think they even addressed it, and they lied about the driver situation. So in all I think it's safe to say that I'll never go back to Jack. I wouldnt recommend this place either. read more

My truck was there for 3 weeks and i bought multiple modules for the wrong thing and on top of that another bolt was loosened to cause another leak so be very careful who works on your car. They made it like there was nothing else they could do!!! Really .. your a service department. If i could have fixed it would have. While having my vehicle serviced on February 3rd 2017, I left items on the front passenger sent not expecting that the service department were going to steal. They had sifted through all the items on the front passenger seat until they decided on what they wanted to take. The thief made it so obvious as soon as I got into the vehicle it was clear that someone had gone through everything. Of course no one stepped up. He spent a lot of time with us, and I sort of felt bad, because we couldn't make up our mind which of three! cars we were looking at. We finally settled on a 2016 Equinox. Folks it is a beauty. Mr. Scialabba was thorough in explaining everything on the vehicle and how all the cool toys work. We went for a test drive over and over. He was patient and said "I only want you too be happy. If you don't find something tonight, come back again, and you will." There was no high pressure by him, which I hate.
