While staying at Laguna Cliffs Marriott, we ate breakfast at Lantern's Edge nearly each morning. Everything we had was tasty. The eggs Benedict and mochi ube waffles were my personal favorites. The service was excellent on each occasion. Chill vibe with beachy music and color schemes. I have to say, the short, round, blue water glasses somehow made me feel so happy and relaxed- what is it about that glassware?

The restaurant is attached the hotel. It has great views and music at night. The food is good quality and not overly complicated. The hotel/restaurant serves Pepsi products only. It's a good option for outdoor seating with good service.

Thanks Jett! He was our server that night. The rest of the staff was great as well. It was my bday and they made me feel special. Went above and beyond. On top of the drink they gave me on the house, they were able to make my favorite drink (they gladly made it even if it was off the menu, some resto won't). The food was tasty and Jett's recommendation was great. From starters to dessert. The ambiance even it was raining it was good. The lighting and all was perfect. Thanks again Jett and the staff for a lovely evening!

I am definitely obsessed with Lanterns Edge! Jett is the best waiter and so is the view! The food isn't bad either lol it's really such a fun hang out and I highly recommend coming here! I've been here twice in the last two days so that's a good sign! Tonight I ordered the lanterns edge salad with shrimp and it was so good and bf had the lamb and he said it was bony .

First time at Lantern Edge, and it did not disappoint! Nestled inside the Marriott Sea Cliff, this hidden gem sits high above Lantern Bay Park, serving up panoramic coastal views that are pure Dana Point magic. We went for the breakfast buffet, and wow -- talk about starting the day right! The spread was stacked with all the morning favorites: fluffy pancakes, golden waffles, made-to-order omelets, crispy bacon and sausage, and even salmon for that extra touch of luxury. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. Beyond breakfast, their menu boasts a great mix of surf & turf selections -- with elevated takes on risotto, fish tacos, and some surprisingly tasty vegetarian dishes. Perfect for any craving, whether you're in the mood for brunch, lunch, or dinner with a view. Service was friendly and attentive -- the kind that makes you feel genuinely welcome. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do, and it shows in both the food and the atmosphere. Between the delicious dishes, the beautiful setting, and the relaxed coastal vibe, Lantern Edge is easily one of my new favorite brunch spots in Dana Point. Do yourself a favor and check it out -- great food, stunning views, and even better memories.

Amazing amazing dinner! I came for Restaurant Week and was able to try multiple different items with their 4 course menu, not to mention a welcome cocktail as well! Ambiance is one of the best if not the best in Orange County. The Food and service somehow surpass the amazing Ocean view. My fiancé and I each did the restaurant week menu and left needing a box to take home. Aaron, our server, did an amazing job describing each of the dishes and helping us choose the best plates to match our pallet. Drinks from bartender Greg were amazing. Shaun, the manager, checked on us throughout our dinner and we truly felt special as a guest. There was a true hospitality focus here! 10/10 will return!

Food: super super yummy. Great menu, with a lot of creative twists - as a local- we can't wait to come back and try more food! Service: absolutely killer. Jett was our server- he's outstanding. Noah was the super sweet host with great customer service. Drinks: I have no idea what my coconut/tequila/ blueberry drink was called- but I'm going to try my best to recreate it at home so I can enjoy this whenever I want! Recommended by Jett- and it did not disappoint!! Dessert: highly suggest trying the Ube Sans Rival. A Filipino dessert that you will regret not trying. I don't know why this isn't on every menu lol. Sweet, creamy, salty, crunchy, and with a side of ice cream that it pairs perfectly with. A must try! Can't wait to come back. Grateful we are locals

Last month, I enjoyed breakfast and dinner al fresco here while staying at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa. The first night at the hotel, I enjoyed an amazing dinner of clams in a savory broth that came with delicious crostini for dipping. I also had a refreshing grapefruit cocktail and an equally refreshing salad that was composed of frisée and topped with slices of grapefruit. I was given a complimentary extra large bottled spring water to take home. My waiter was super attentive to me and very sweet. The next morning I enjoyed a fresh omelette with crispy potatoes, orange juice and the most amazing lemon ricotta pancakes, the ambiance of the restaurant is hip and modern and boasts a beautiful view the ocean.

    Empty shitty restaurant.

Empty restaurant told they're short staffed but I watched multiple waiters walk past us. After 25 min waiting for a waiter to come introduce themselves I asked the manager to do something. Aaron came running from the back and introduced himself... to the only other table in the room. That couple had finished their dinner and were paying. He didn't notice the credit card on the table. What's wrong with people. This place deserves to go out of business.

FABULOUS! My wife and I had the privilege of dinning here on New Year's Eve and wow what a dinning experience! You walk down the stairs and are met with a beautiful fish tank, this was a great start and truly beautiful to look at. The menu was a fixed menu 5 courses and a total surprise, each plate was big enough to fill us and just a culinary journey! We kept saying the closest dinning we've had to omakase where each bite is totally different, the wagyu tartar with caviar, the salad (dressing out of this world), ravioli that had so many unique flavors, each bite was just incredible. The wait staff was attentive and quick but also slowed down our courses as we are fast eaters. I had a cocktail that was also incredible and included a banana. The restaurant is new and just was no better way for us to have ended 2024. Thank you lanterns edge!

We came here for dinner and unfortunately due to the construction, the view of the marina was not visible but the food, service and ambiance were still top notch! They confirmed that the patio was dog friendly so we brought our two pups and were pleasantly surprised that they really were super dog friendly Our waiter Kristi was very kind and brought out a water bowl soon after we were seated and the dish we ordered from the dog menu was brought out in a dog bowl. In addition to the great service, the food and drinks were delicious! Would definitely return!

Lantern's Edge was amazing! The food was great and the views were even better. What really made our night complete was the incredible server that we had, Jiyan. He was friendly and efficient. He suggested meals that were right on point!!!! Jiyan is an asset to your company and should be recognized for his outstanding service. Thank you Lanterns Edge and Jiyan for making a perfect night for my wife and I. C. McGregor

Not only was I thankful that my friend treated me to a beautiful and delicious lunch, but also I'm just so grateful for the views, service and overall good vibes. Hunter was our server and was incredible. He was helpful and attentive. As far as the food, we started with the soft pretzel and unfortunately it wasn't that soft. It actually seemed a little stale. However, the rest of our meal was 10/10! I got the chicken club, while my friend got the pastrami. Both sandwiches were so delicious and bursting with flavor! I also love that they have zero proof options on the menu. That's always a plus for me. Hunter ended the meal with a complimentary birthday treat and WOW...the chocolate cake was a small slice of pure bliss. I highly recommend it! Lastly, they even have complimentary valet. I will be coming back to Club 19 very soon to try more of the menu!

No problems. Food "was" delicious. Pricey, but you're at the Waldorf Astoria... Then I get home. And I had projectile (redacted) all evening from the time I got home, until about 11pm. I couldn't even hold down water. I was so dehydrated, I would chuck water + liquid IV, and 30 minutes later, I would be praying to the porcelain god. TMI, I know, but I just need to get across the severity of this stomach bug. The only other thing I ate this day was a bag of sour cream and onion chips my friend got on the course with his hotdog. So that leaves this. I know this is not common here, but I had to be honest with my experience. Other people got burgers and they were fine, so it's hard to pinpoint what exactly it was. I did have a side of Mayo. So maybe? It's now Monday night and my fever has dropped from 101.8 to 99.1. Overall it's hard to say I would ever come back considering the price to food... This place is like a little slice of paradise, brimming with Ohana and Aloha, and I'm here for it! First off, the **macadamia nut pancakes** are a game changer. Moist, fluffy, and bursting with flavor, they practically dance on your taste buds! If you're not careful, you might just end up ordering a second stack--no judgment here! And don't even get me started on the **spam musubi**. It's like a warm hug from an old friend--authentic and oh-so-delicious! You can almost hear the waves crashing as you take your first bite. Now, let's talk about the **kalibi **. Cooked to perfection, it's the kind of dish that makes you want to shout "Aloha!" at the top of your lungs. Seriously, I think I might've shed a tear of joy with each forkful. To wash it all down, the **Hawaiian latte** is a must-try! It took me back to the islands I miss so much--smooth, rich, and just the right amount of tropical. I may or may not have been tempted to sip it while wearing a grass skirt. In a nutshell, Stacks Pancakes is a delightful culinary escape that'll leave you smiling from ear to ear. I've had two separate experiences at Raya this year, and both were unacceptable -- which is…read moredisappointing because the rest of the property has consistently been excellent. Kahani, the club lounge, and the Marketplace all delivered exactly what you expect from a hotel at this level: attentive, well-trained staff, seamless service, and a clear understanding of hospitality standards. That's why I've never focused on smaller issues before -- they didn't outweigh the overall quality of the stay. Unfortunately, Raya has now been the exception twice. The first time, back in January, the food quality wasn't on point-I ordered the blackened tuna tacos and they were completely inedible. I didn't complain or send them back -- I simply left it at that. Today was service from one particular server Taylor. I had just come down from the club lounge and remembered that I had a complimentary voucher given at check-in, which didn't specify what it covered on it. I first asked at the lobby bar and no one was able to provide a clear answer, so I went next door to Raya and asked again before ordering. The hostess told me I could choose anything and even recommended the skirt steak. She was kind and friendly. Taylor took my order, and I reasonably assumed there had been communication between staff. So I spent some time ordering and waiting and when my food arrived since I asked for a to go order, I grabbed the bag, tipped, and left. Then Taylor ran after me at the hotel entrance asking how I planned to pay -- in front of other guests. It was an extremely uncomfortable and bizarre situation. I didn't realize what has happened I was just handed the bill and I put my room number and name down. I was then told the voucher only covered guacamole, which directly contradicted what I had been told prior to ordering. As a result, I wasted approximately 40 minutes of my time, I was simply trying to head to the beach before departing, and instead found myself dealing with a situation that should have been handled internally and discreetly. When I handed the food back and said I did not want it, the response was "ok, I'll toss it," followed by no acknowledgment, no apology, and no effort to resolve the situation. At this point, this is no longer an isolated incident. For a restaurant positioned as fine dining, the lack of internal communication, consistency, and basic guest handling is surprising -- especially when every other outlet on the property demonstrates a significantly higher standard. Raya was the only part of the experience that felt misaligned with the rest of the hotel -- and unfortunately, it's the last impression I'm leaving with.

My wife is a big fan of their Adobo Breakfast Bowl and on our second visit, she decided to order it again. To our surprise the dish came out noticeably different from what we remembered. It had more sauce and a hint of sweetness, almost leaning toward a paksiw-style flavor. When we asked one of the servers (not the one assigned) about it, we were told that some adjustments had recently been made to the ingredients. We were a little disappointed since we really enjoyed the original flavor from our previous visit. Thankfully, our assigned server took the time to share our feedback with the owner, Anthony. He personally acknowledged that some adjustments had been made BUT also recognized that the dish we received was not up to their standard. What really stood out to us was how he handled the situation. Rather than dismissing our concern, he offered a thoughtful resolution that completely turned the experience around and made us feel genuinely valued as customers. To me, THIS is what great hospitality looks like. Food may not always come out perfectly but when a restaurant listens, acknowledges a concern, and makes a genuine effort to find a resolution for the best possible customer experience, it makes you appreciate the place even more. I strongly recommend giving this place a visit. There aren't many Filipino-themed restaurants in SoCal that offer this level of food quality, hospitality, and overall experience. We'll definitely continue coming back!

It was my first time visiting Proud Mary's, and I did not realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and took in the whole scene. My husband ordered fish tacos and chili and admitted he's had better meals in his life. We drove pretty far to try this place and honestly wish we went next door for better food. Service was ok, our soups came out before we got our drinks, which I didn't like. The food is super overpriced for the quality. The best part was the view.... Hence the second star. I won't go back.
