Ooh La La! I can't believe it took us this long to get to bon appétit Café in Dana Point. We were celebrating a birthday and we were pleasantly surprised with a slice of fresh delicious cheesecake with a strawberry coulis with fresh strawberries Maryann, was our gracious waitress. ( she was very sweet to come by several times as we could not decide what we wanted off the menu. Everything looked so delicious and so on point with our appetite.) Every dish came out perfect. The salmon with sautéed spinach and potatoes was so flavorful and delicious. The French dip was devoured. We are looking forward to coming back and enjoying the Tartines and croissants. This restaurant is everything! We are so happy that they have arrived here in Dana Point. They have done everything to make you feel warm and invited in a very Parisian way. It's on a corner so there is patio seating we sat in the main dining. So comfortable. Parking can always be a bit of a challenge on Del Prado. Give yourself time to find parking in one of the lots or on the street as we did. Bon appétit Café is a culinary delight. I get the sense that this will be a staple for a very, very long time in this community.

I didn't realize this restaurant changed hands in March 2026. Perry is our server and he's very nice. They have a few gluten free options and Perry raved about the salmon so bf is ordering it medium rare. The octopus looks really good so I'm going with that. They have WiFi but you need a password. We had an unexpectedly good dinner here and I loved my octopus which was so TENDER and juicy! Bf really liked his salmon and I gad a bite and wanted more!! We didn't have dessert but will be back soon! Definitely a solid 4 stars which is great!! I can't wait to come back and try the calamari and shrimp.

Loved loved loved their egg white frittata! Normally I wouldn't order anything with only egg whites fearing that they came out of a carton but I could taste the freshness in these eggs. The feta spread on top and refreshing salad on the side? I'm gonna be back! That croissant breakfast sandwich was no joke either. Full thick slab of fluffy eggs and cheese on top of a gorgeous croissant, I'm hungry just looking at the picture. Bon Appétit café is also an incredible place to people watch, on top of being a delicious breakfast/brunch eatery in Dana Point that's not a pizza joint. I heard it's an epidemic. Pizza parlors opening here. Also their coffee cups have a fun special handle so it feels comfortable to hold!

You really can't go wrong when they serve lavazza coffee and throw in some delicious pastries and entrees The two young ladies working were so sweet and did a great job on my coffee. Even the little bathroom is decorated so pretty!! This cafe is in the heart of the Del Prado neighborhood next to the full restaurant which is serving wonderful food. I can't wait to return and try some other items

The service was good the staff were always checking on me... The ambiance inside was a bit loud but was good outside( since no one like to eat outside) The food was okay... the hanger steak was okay, it wasn't season properly so cannot really taste it, the french onion soup was so, so... probably because it wasn't cooked as much ‍ I ask for a basket of bread without them letting me know that I had to pay for it... so had to pay $6. The bread basket wasn't warm and was ok. Overall I do like the place but it is overrated and too pricey. The food is ok but won't pay for that price.

I absolutely loved this place--it was our first time visiting yesterday! We ordered the clams, octopus, branzino, and a salad. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and we had such a great experience while we were there. Unfortunately, a few hours after eating, I developed severe stomach pain and have been going back and forth to the restroom ever since. I even noticed undigested pieces of the clams afterward, which made me believe they were what upset my stomach. I've been feeling awful all day. I'm genuinely disappointed because I really loved the restaurant and was excited to come back. I'm hoping this was just an isolated incident, but I wanted to share my experience so the restaurant can look into it.

Came to Dana Point for my best friend's birthday and visited this cute place! Plenty of delicious pastries, we tried the peanut butter cookie and cheese danish (both were 10/10!) Friendly customer service and great ambiance, very beautiful inside. My coffee was pretty strong but still very good, I added some sugar and it was perfect! Great experience! Would come back.

What a cute new restaurant where the former Maison Restaurant was. Atmosphere is very French Cafe very chic, light open and carefree. Our food was simple and delicious. The homemade Yogurt was excellent I can't believe how creamy and delicious it is! The honey added is so flavorful. I recommend this dish! I recommend highly!

Ate breakfast at Bon Appetit. This cute cafe is takeout or sit down orders. I had the soufflé pancake. It's not overly sweet at all and I got syrup on the side! Service was quick. Easy and decent brunch spot.

My wife and I came here for lunch. We love French bistro food and decided to give it a try. My wife ordered the Angel Hair pasta (fire-roasted tomato, garlic confit, basil, extra virgin olive oil), and I ordered the French Dip (roast beef on a baguette, au jus, spicy aioli, onions, house greens with a side of horseradish). Both dishes were very good and the ingredients were fresh and well prepared. The roast beef on my French Dip was very tender and flavorful. The portion sizes were adequate. Definitely not large. The ambiance was cozy with comfortable tables and chairs, with an abundance of natural light. I would describe our waiter as efficient but a little brusque and not all that friendly. I would definitely return to try other dishes and experience the pleasant atmosphere.

My friends brought me to Bon Appetit on Sunday to celebrate my birthday and it was such a wonderful day. The staff were so friendly and made sure everything was perfect for us - including a check in from the owner! I love the new paint job - the blue is so elegant and the gold chandeliers are classy. Has a French cafe vibe for sure! And the food, as pictured, was amazing!! We'll definitely be back!

    Chic and elegant restaurant.

Delicious solid French food at this chic restaurant. Having lunch here feels like being in Paris, I guess! It's bright and airy on a sunny day. The French Dip with salad was hearty. The roast beef was tender as well as the baguette was soft enough that wasn't tough to bite. The Angel Hair Pasta was very good too! Simple and yet very satisfying with tomatoes, basil, in olive oil. It's definitely a nice restaurant to hang around all afternoon!

Not only was I thankful that my friend treated me to a beautiful and delicious lunch, but also I'm just so grateful for the views, service and overall good vibes. Hunter was our server and was incredible. He was helpful and attentive. As far as the food, we started with the soft pretzel and unfortunately it wasn't that soft. It actually seemed a little stale. However, the rest of our meal was 10/10! I got the chicken club, while my friend got the pastrami. Both sandwiches were so delicious and bursting with flavor! I also love that they have zero proof options on the menu. That's always a plus for me. Hunter ended the meal with a complimentary birthday treat and WOW...the chocolate cake was a small slice of pure bliss. I highly recommend it! Lastly, they even have complimentary valet. I will be coming back to Club 19 very soon to try more of the menu!

No problems. Food "was" delicious. Pricey, but you're at the Waldorf Astoria... Then I get home. And I had projectile (redacted) all evening from the time I got home, until about 11pm. I couldn't even hold down water. I was so dehydrated, I would chuck water + liquid IV, and 30 minutes later, I would be praying to the porcelain god. In all my years of life, I don't think this has ever happened (minus infant-hood) I abruptly woke up by (redacted) myself in bed. TMI, I know, but I just need to get across the severity of this stomach bug. The only other thing I ate this day was a bag of sour cream and onion chips my friend got on the course with his hotdog. So that leaves this. I know this is not common here, but I had to be honest with my experience. Other people got burgers and they were fine, so it's hard to pinpoint what exactly it was. I did have a side of Mayo. So maybe? It's now Monday night and my fever has dropped from 101.8 to 99.1. Overall it's hard to say I would ever come back considering the price to food... This place is like a little slice of paradise, brimming with Ohana and Aloha, and I'm here for it! First off, the **macadamia nut pancakes** are a game changer. Moist, fluffy, and bursting with flavor, they practically dance on your taste buds! If you're not careful, you might just end up ordering a second stack--no judgment here! And don't even get me started on the **spam musubi**. It's like a warm hug from an old friend--authentic and oh-so-delicious! You can almost hear the waves crashing as you take your first bite. Now, let's talk about the **kalibi **. Cooked to perfection, it's the kind of dish that makes you want to shout "Aloha!" at the top of your lungs. Seriously, I think I might've shed a tear of joy with each forkful. To wash it all down, the **Hawaiian latte** is a must-try! It took me back to the islands I miss so much--smooth, rich, and just the right amount of tropical. I may or may not have been tempted to sip it while wearing a grass skirt. In a nutshell, Stacks Pancakes is a delightful culinary escape that'll leave you smiling from ear to ear. So gather your friends and family, and experience the warmth of Hawaii without leaving the mainland. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! Aloha and pancakes for all!

I've had two separate experiences at Raya this year, and both were unacceptable -- which is…read moredisappointing because the rest of the property has consistently been excellent. Kahani, the club lounge, and the Marketplace all delivered exactly what you expect from a hotel at this level: attentive, well-trained staff, seamless service, and a clear understanding of hospitality standards. That's why I've never focused on smaller issues before -- they didn't outweigh the overall quality of the stay. Unfortunately, Raya has now been the exception twice. The first time, back in January, the food quality wasn't on point-I ordered the blackened tuna tacos and they were completely inedible. I didn't complain or send them back -- I simply left it at that. Today was service from one particular server Taylor. I had just come down from the club lounge and remembered that I had a complimentary voucher given at check-in, which didn't specify what it covered on it. I first asked at the lobby bar and no one was able to provide a clear answer, so I went next door to Raya and asked again before ordering. The hostess told me I could choose anything and even recommended the skirt steak. She was kind and friendly. Taylor took my order, and I reasonably assumed there had been communication between staff. So I spent some time ordering and waiting and when my food arrived since I asked for a to go order, I grabbed the bag, tipped, and left. Then Taylor ran after me at the hotel entrance asking how I planned to pay -- in front of other guests. It was an extremely uncomfortable and bizarre situation. I didn't realize what has happened I was just handed the bill and I put my room number and name down. I was then told the voucher only covered guacamole, which directly contradicted what I had been told prior to ordering. As a result, I wasted approximately 40 minutes of my time, I was simply trying to head to the beach before departing, and instead found myself dealing with a situation that should have been handled internally and discreetly. When I handed the food back and said I did not want it, the response was "ok, I'll toss it," followed by no acknowledgment, no apology, and no effort to resolve the situation. At this point, this is no longer an isolated incident. For a restaurant positioned as fine dining, the lack of internal communication, consistency, and basic guest handling is surprising -- especially when every other outlet on the property demonstrates a significantly higher standard. Raya was the only part of the experience that felt misaligned with the rest of the hotel -- and unfortunately, it's the last impression I'm leaving with.

My wife is a big fan of their Adobo Breakfast Bowl and on our second visit, she decided to order it again. To our surprise the dish came out noticeably different from what we remembered. It had more sauce and a hint of sweetness, almost leaning toward a paksiw-style flavor. When we asked one of the servers (not the one assigned) about it, we were told that some adjustments had recently been made to the ingredients. We were a little disappointed since we really enjoyed the original flavor from our previous visit. Thankfully, our assigned server took the time to share our feedback with the owner, Anthony. He personally acknowledged that some adjustments had been made BUT also recognized that the dish we received was not up to their standard. What really stood out to us was how he handled the situation. Rather than dismissing our concern, he offered a thoughtful resolution that completely turned the experience around and made us feel genuinely valued as customers. To me, THIS is what great hospitality looks like. Food may not always come out perfectly but when a restaurant listens, acknowledges a concern, and makes a genuine effort to find a resolution for the best possible customer experience, it makes you appreciate the place even more. I strongly recommend giving this place a visit. There aren't many Filipino-themed restaurants in SoCal that offer this level of food quality, hospitality, and overall experience. We'll definitely continue coming back!

The place has a lively atmosphere that teenagers would enjoy a lot, and I saw so many teenagers there that day. They were taking pictures by the water, laughing together, and fitting into the environment so naturally that it made the whole restaurant feel even more vibrant. The marina view looked almost like a postcard, and teenagers especially seemed to love taking photos with the boats in the background, which made the place feel even more fun and creative. It was my first time visiting Proud Mary's, and I did not realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and took in the whole scene. I really appreciated how easy it was to have a good time there without feeling rushed. Service was ok, our soups came out before we got our drinks, which I didn't like. The food is super overpriced for the quality. The best part was the view.... Hence the second star. I won't go back.
