Been to the Carlsbad location a few times (and enjoyed the food), so I was stoked to see this location while in AV. It was early and a chill vibe in there, so my husband and I gave their happy hour a try! Wonderful service from Emily that day, who made our first happy hour experience here, a happy one! LOL. Eureka is definitely the go to place for burgers in Aliso! Now I gotta be upfront, these burgers are premium, the kind that have fig and all the fancy fixings, and the cost reflects it. Is that a negative? Nope! The service is outstanding, side portions are generous and you definitely feel like you get your moneys worth here. Happy hour menu is extensive, and it's a nice way to try things at a pretty good price in my opinion. Our party got everything from macaroni and cheese balls, Asian chicken wraps, dry rub wings and burgers. Long story short, we will be back. Good not great. We came in on 03 July, around 12:30, there was about only 3 other people in the whole place. Server was extremely slow, only came to our table maybe 1-2 times the whole meal and just overall not pleasant to deal with. Honestly the only thing that saved it was the manager; he was very friendly, kind and social. Our burger also came out medium rare when we asked for medium. They did apologize but most places would either comp their mistake or give a free dessert as a "hey we're sorry, let us make it up to you!" It's almost industry standard, but not here or at least with our server. Anyway, the food was good 8/10 and the inside is always clean and nice. I stopped by for dinner tonight after work. This place is great, the staff is friendly, the drinks were really good, and the food was excellent. Happy hour is ridiculous. They don't have enough staff to seat the restaurant, leave tables open and the manager will not honor happy hour pricing when people wait for over thirty minutes and barely pass the end time. This is completely up to the manager to decide. Clearly they make enough money at all other times and they are not interested in gaining new customers with their happy hour that would come back other times. They should not even have the happy hour if these are not the customers they want. I'm so glad I gave this Eureka! location another shot -- the service this time was amazing. This time, everything felt different in the best way. I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who served us -- he was such a sweetheart. It was a rainy day, and since we sat on the patio with our fur baby, he made sure we were comfortable, even offering to turn on the heater and bringing out a water bowl for our dog. My husband and I shared the Wild Child cocktail (still my favorite!), and split the bone marrow burger and wings. The burger was rich and flavorful, and yes -- I upgraded to truffle fries, which are always worth it. Love getting food from Eureka! I usually order pickup via DoorDash and it has never failed to deliver. The food quality is consistent and it's helpful they are open late. It's nearly impossible to find anything not fast food open past 9pm in Aliso. Even McDonalds closes before midnight! And I would pick Eureka anything over eating unhealthy junk food past 10pm. Not everyone works a 9-5 cake job ya know. The seared salmon platter I ordered recently was absolutely delicious. Loved the string beans and ripped potatoes too. The accompaniments really made the salmon taste great and filling by giving contrasting texture and flavors. Very well executed especially knowing I usually hate ordering something that can otherwise so easily resemble hospital food. But this? I wouldn't mind eating every night. The kids chicken bites were also delicious. It comes in a good portion size and everything tasted fresh. I really like Eureka as a chain. This is the 5th one I have visited. I popped in for cocktails with some friends, and it looks like a large-ish Eureka. I expect the food to be good, like it is at all the other ones I have been to. I had a cocktail, which was really yummy, like it is throughout this small chain, while my friends all had various beers, of which there were plenty of options. Nice menu, great service, great ambiance! Tonight was not our first visit, been here at least half a dozen times, but realized I hadn't reviewed Eureka yet! (Wish I had taken more photos!) Enjoyed our meal last night with Hannah as our server - super friendly and took great care of us. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the fresh air - but weren't cold despite it being a chilly night. Hannah provided great guidance on menu items and was super enjoyable to chat with. Hubby had a Eureka Sour (yum!) and I tried the Liquid Light Sauvignon Blanc (also yum!) - both of which Hannah recommended. (Hannah - I'm going to buy a bottle of my own today!) Hubby had the double smash burger and I had the Napa chicken sandwich. We both enjoyed our food and the overall experience a lot. We've sat inside and out on their huge patio, and we've enjoyed both. We had our son's 2nd birthday celebration here, a small-ish gathering of 13 folks. The manager at Eureka, Loren, did a fantastic job of accommodating our party. We told him that our toddler is a "runner," and he seated us on the enclosed patio that helped corral our lil guy. Patio is awesome, even in cold weather as they have heat lamps and a beautiful fireplace in the middle. Husband and I checked the place out a week before and had ourselves a little date night at the bar - the ambience and low lighting makes for a super chill atmosphere. We like their drinks, and the appetizers like the pretzel bites, Brussels sprouts, and truffle fries are crowd pleasers. Memorable meals from our party was the bbq bacon burger, black and blue mushroom burger, Philly cheesesteak, fish and chips, and the wagyu and bone marrow burger. I've been to Eureka! a couple of times at their Fresno location, but this was my first visit to the Aliso Viejo spot since it opened. It was just as I remembered--great food and a laid-back atmosphere. I called around 5 PM on a Sunday to see if we could make a reservation for our party of seven, but they only accept reservations up to two hours in advance. Luckily, it wasn't busy, and we were seated right away. We chose to sit inside, though the patio looked inviting--something to try next time. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, from the fish and chips to the burgers, wraps, and salads--everything was fresh and well-prepared. The only downside was the limited drink options for kids. Since mine don't drink soda, the choices were pretty much just lemonade and orange juice. There were mocktails available, but those didn't really appeal to them. Overall, a solid experience with great food and friendly service. I'd definitely come back--just hoping for a few more kid-friendly drink options next time! read more

I am honestly really impressed by Eureka's service from both Kylie and the manager. We started our dinner service at the bar. The cocktail my boyfriend order was amazing, the presentation was wonderful for the whiskey cocktail. For dinner, we had a burger, salmon, and pork belly. The pork belly was still a little tough, so not exactly pork belly that melts in your mouth. There is a sweet glaze that compliments the fattiness. The Fresno Fig burger I ordered had a perfect combination of flavors, it reminded me of a charcuterie board. We had the salmon, but it was too salty and the sides did not balance it out. We ordered the Napa chicken sandwich as recommended by the manager and it was better. It's like an elevated BLT sandwich. Kylie was really prompt with checking in with us after we received our appetizer and entrees. When we had an issue with the salty salmon, the manager was not defensive about replacing it. The vibe was pretty moody for a sunday evening. But they have large heated patio that is popular among patrons. They also have some TVs near the bar for your sports needs. read more

Our host had the same necklace as my boyfriend and I which was so funny! Our server was very sweet and friendly, unfortunately I forgot his name. My bf ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, I ordered the 28 day bone marrow burger, and my friend ordered the poke stack. I've tried a lot of the burgers from here but never tried this one. Zero stars if I could rate it that way. just came in on 6/4/26 1:20pm for my son's 6th grade graduation (party of 5, 2 adults 3 children ages 8-13) celebration and our experience was completely ruined from the beginning. We were sat in the booth in the back of the restaurant and completely forgotten. We watched as the server take the order and slowly serve the drinks from the bar to a party seated at the same time as us. 10 MORE minutes pass by, and a party of 6 is seated near us. Several minutes later, a server appears and begins to take their order. Despite us waiting for over 20 minutes and we haven't even been acknowledged. The restaurant was not busy, and there were MANY open tables. There were only 4 parties seated inside. After that experience we had enough, we up and left with empty stomachs and completely disappointed. Hate to say it, of the 3 tables that were just seated, 2 parties were Caucasian = immediate service, and you guessed it, our party was Filipino & completely invisible to the wait staff. Have to agree with Saul S. who gave a poor review earlier this week. POCs get the short end of the stick. The management seemed nonexistent and service was inexperienced. Manger was helpful as he was the only person that assisted me. Getting assistance once more was deemed impossible from the get go. If you're a person of color stay clear and far away. They will ignore you and gaslight you. This place has a lot going for it. To start, being in AV, several establishments nearby close fairly early, around 8-10 pm. When a few co-workers and I had a long work day we were looking for something that brought good vibes, was open later (11pm-12 am), offered a late night happy hour, and a mix of menu choices. This continued through to our waitress, who had a wealth of information about the drink and dish options. As we settled in, it seemed pretty clear to us that this is a spot several people frequent, particularly in the late night. It was busy! Food & Drink The late night happy hour is a win and definitely worth the visit. A couple of old fashioned cocktails and a couple of beers, the team was enjoying it. The food was not disappointing either. Nachos, burgers, fish tacos, ahi tuna salad, spicy fried chicken sandwich, everyone was quite happy. In fact, the very next day a couple of us went back a bit earlier and had a similar positive experience.
