This place is gotta be the coolest coffee house I've ever been to, the inside was so cool, room after room of odd and cool things to look at ! Friendly service

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Jackalope is a cool space in Bridgeport to grab coffee and hang out if you need a study spot, or place to chill with lots of coffee and tea options, as well as food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the best part.. the coffee is quite affordable compared to lots of other coffee shops--like $2-3 less! Though I don't think the coffee was amazing or anything. They have specialty drinks that rotate seasonally. Many different options to try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's super spacious with 3 decorated rooms (lots of decor to look at) and board games to borrow.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice and quick service. Friendly vibes all around.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is great, very cool inside, the staff are super nice / funny.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment is also great, it's huge inside and there are multiple rooms with different types of sitting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely a place to go work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got there around 10:30, there were places to sit and people were coming and going.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The coffee was good, I got the Jolly Green Giant, it was great, good hummus, fresh vegetables. My child got a donut, he liked it. My partner got the breakfast sandwich, cyclops, it comes in a bagel but the bagel is less large than normal bagels which he said made it easier to eat and was a nice balance. He also got an Horchata latte. Which he loved and smelled good. Overall this place hits!

I was staying nearby and saw that Jackalope was close by and had breakfast sandwiches. I'm not a coffee fan but I was expecting a lot of tea options as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was pretty quiet since it was past the morning rush time and midweeki-sh, so it was expected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was looking at their non-coffee options, eyeing the cooler but I did see they had flavored iced teas as well. Their sandwiches are named after mythical creatures. I got 'The Cyclops' their version of a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel. The sandwich was ok-the bagel tasted pretty plain instead of the Everything bagel I asked for it tasted like a plain bagel. While they had a lot of tea options the iced tea choices were pre-made so I went with their green tea and couple pumps of their fruit syrups. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I took a seat under their Mars Attacks alien in their barber's chair and while it was a little precarious it was fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Really cool find. Happened to be in the area and wanted some coffee. The pricing is pretty good for current times. Milk alternatives are extra. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is great. There's three sections of space with plenty of tables for 1-4 people each.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even at 7PM, there were lots of individuals reading or working on their laptops.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried their mocha with oat milk and their specialty hot cider with brown butter toffee. Their mocha was smooth and creamy, no settling after a night in the fridge, so likely made with chocolate syrup. The hot cider came our piping hot, almost had an alcoholic flavor to it. It's definitely on the sweeter side but overall very warm and comfy.

Jackelope is such a gem! The baristas are always so friendly, and there's something for everyone! Whether you're in the mood for a great coffee, a tasty doughnut , or one of their amazing sandwiches. Everything is made with love and it shows. The sandwiches are warm and fresh from the panini press. So good, you'll want to try everything. My favorite go to drink is the Dirty Horchata, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. It's epic!

There's free street parking and free wifi! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was packed when I visited but they have three sections of seating so we were able to find one table in the back section near the bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the dirty horchata and it was more dirty than horchata so I liked it. My kids enjoyed their pastries and the collection of games they have. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menu and the decor gave me sensory overload so I'm glad I was in what seemed like the calmest room lol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Had the iced grasshopper (mint and vanilla latte) that was so good and refreshing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior had a fun design.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Taylor H.

Came here for the rainbow bagel it was nice to try and the coffee as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have two sides to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I was sitting it was too many flies around couldn't really enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

One of the better local coffee shops in the Bridgeport area. Locally owned but it's still basically the same price as Dunkin and cheaper than Starbucks. They have a large list of beverages and a list of food too. Service is consistent. Folks in here are always friendly. And they have a great aesthetic inside the shop with merch to buy if you're interested.

    Akshay S.

Great coffee, [[HIGHLIGHT]]amazing ambience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to spend your days and go work or just write notes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Got a chai and a donut today. Love all the quirky and fun decor. There's so much space to sit and work. I was a bit overwhelmed when I first walked in, in terms of looking at the menu. And I don't really think I was able to take it all in at the time. But I settled on a media chai and a donut. The staff was nice and quick too! Ample free street parking, is always nice too. :)

    Angelina I.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Large coffee shop with fun decor and lots of drink options (coffees, teas, etc).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'd recommend checking this place out to study, work from home, or hang out with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating, but limited street parking nearby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My new favorite coffee shop... ever?? It was so good I managed to fit it in TWICE in a short trip…read more And have NOT shut up about it since I came back!! Military latte ($7.25)-- matcha and espresso mixed together with milk I don't know what sorcery they put in this but it's SO GOOD!! like matcha and espresso had a baby idk but they kept all the good parts of each other and balance each other out. For example, the matchy isn't earthy or chalky like some places or fake like the Starbucks one. The espresso isn't sour or burnt. And somehow when you combine both of them it's this perfect mellow blend but has the slight bitterness of both matcha/espresso where you're like "ah yes it's not just milk" that flavor really pulls through. But again it's mellow and blends together sooooo well like perfect mesh my goodness. Doesn't overpower doesn't feel like you're drinking matcha and coffee at the same time. It just becomes like a new thing altogether and that thing is glorious. The first time I got it iced (and the black camo latte hot) and all I could think about was how much better it would be hot.... So I had to come back for it !! And it ISSSS better hot. I enjoy hot lattes the hot milk and lack of ice is smoother and blends it together better or something. Obviously the iced version wasn't bad because I still had a great time... but when I came back for the second time and got it hot like YESSS THIS IS IT !!! Black camo latte ($7.25)-- same as Military but instead of matcha it's hojicha mixed with espresso! I took sips of this (as opposed to it being my own drink) and thought it was good! Really depends on if you like the taste of matcha or hojicha more. This one is deeper and richer, more earthy. Maybe even caramelized roast kinda flavor? Buuuut I know hojicha isn't for everyone so take it with a grain of salt. The combo with espresso is magical though like whatever ratio they're using is so perfect. It really blends together so well. ANDDDD here the coffee:milk ratio is so good!! No milky watered down lattes! I'm so used to having to add espresso shots or asking for less milk because coffee shops really be wildin in this economy but this place has a good ratio! Like yes wow we still have good things I love this for us. Matcha lemonade ($7)-- So absurdly sour I took one sip and that was enough for me!!! You really have to be a lemonade person like if that's your drink of choice to quench your thirst on a hot day then this is for you!! If you don't drink lemonade on the regular then I really wouldn't bother. I think this is a collab with a charity or something? Up your vitamin C for a good cause I guess. Cortado ($4.50)-- Espresso and milk, small cup, good test of their espresso and yesssss it passes with flying colors. And again, this place has their milk ratio down to a science. Perfectly balanced, not too much milk and you still taste all the coffee. Love love loveeeeee this place and would absolutely love an LA location. Until then, guess I'll have to plan another Chicago trip to get this goodness again !!!

I think Sawada is a little more overhyped than I would've liked…read more The Military Latte was pretty good, and I really appreciated that they offered macadamia milk! That said, the matcha itself wasn't necessarily the best matcha I've ever had. I think there was just too much milk in the drink, so I couldn't really enjoy the matcha and hojicha notes. It was enjoyable, but not memorable enough to justify all the hype - or the price. I really liked the ambiance, and the baristas were genuinely kind. They were also very willing to adjust or remake a drink when needed, which I appreciated. Overall, it's a cute spot with great service, but I genuinely cannot accept the price-to-drink ratio. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't think it lived up to the hype.

It is a vibrant, modern cafe staple known for its standout bakery items like their Strawberry Cream Croissants (that looked incredibly decadent), artisanal coffee drinks, and reliable breakfast sandwiches. They do have some gluten-free baked options like the pistachio muffin my wife enjoyed. Also, they have non-bread breakfast and lunch options if you are gluten-sensitive or celiac. The place is popular, based on the queue that went out the door when we went there over the past weekend. Due to its proximity to major downtown attractions like the Art Institute and office buildings, long lines will happen during morning work rushes and weekend peak hours. But it's worth the wait. For my money, the chocolate croissant, stuffed with rich chocolate mousse, is class, and will ensure you won't go hungry. At all. In fact, I had half of it in a Ziploc for two days, and it still tasted amazing. The chocolate mousse alone will give you a rush that will send you blasting into outer space. Their morning sandwich was pretty good with scrambled eggs, cheddar, bacon, avocado, and tomatillo sauce on toasted semolina. Although, admittedly, I was full from also indulging on the croissant, so I had leftovers. Their coffee drinks are also divine. I went with their Vietnamese cold brew, made with condensed milk that I enjoyed immensely. If I worked in the area, I would be coming here quite a bit.

There was already a small line of guests with the same idea, but we were able to get on the waitlist. While waiting, we checked out the small coffee shop inside the gallery and browsed the furniture, which helped pass the time. Our wait was about an hour before being escorted to our table in the courtyard. Initially, we were placed at a low coffee table with couch seating. It's a cool lounge style setup, especially for drinks, but not ideal for a meal. It would have been pretty awkward trying to eat comfortably. We asked to be moved and were told that table preferences should be requested when joining the waitlist. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn't aware of that, and it also wasn't asked by the hostess. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us and moved us to a table in the wine cellar. The wine cellar had a completely different vibe, dark and moody, compared to the bright, airy courtyard with its beautiful glass ceiling and natural light. We ordered the lobster roll and the RH Burger, both with fries. The food came out fairly quickly and was well-presented. The lobster roll was served on a buttery brioche with just the right amount of seasoning, and the burger was juicy and flavorful. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely visit again.

We also had the crispy artichokes meh. What saved my night was the chicken salad. The crispy bits...amazing all through the salad. So good. Let's talk dessert, the butterscotch crème brûlée so good. Coffee and a port wine.... Good, but where is the cheese board. This place would benefit from real liquor and a desert cheese board. I mean I must believe that RH has a cheese board on offer somewhere. Anyway, nice evening and decent food in a mostly lovely place.
