we enjoyed our experience. loved the decor and customer service was on point & friendly. Food was the perfect items to order abd delicious. No wonder the line's out the door. seating inside is communial but outside you have private tables but located on the street so you deal with the street elements. When I'm intown I would definitely visit here again.

A popping spot for a reason! The first day we walked by, the line was literally looped out the door. We were there during a busy weekend, so I'm not sure if that was busier than usual, but it definitely looks like this place can get crowded, and I see why! The coffee was amazing and they had so many options that it was honestly hard to choose. Since it was raining, I went with the warm cinnamon date latte and was very happy with my choice. It even came with a little date on the side! I also got the avocado toast, which was a good size and really good. And of course, I had to get the Chicago dog croissant to-go because why not while in Chicago?! The pastries all looked amazing too. Overall, a great spot that I'm glad we came back to!

Came here for our first breakfast in Chicago! The decor is super cute and there was a charm to having the extremely loud train running overhead every 5 mins! I got the banana foster latte and morning breakfast sandwich. The latte came with an almond cookie and it was pretty good, the sandwich was also good but I expected the salsa verde to have a slight kick, although also good. Maybe I'm going to the wrong places but a lot of food in Chicago said spicy and it isn't (imo). This may be a good note if you're visiting like I was! I would recommend!

Great service, good food, chill ambiance. It's popular, so order online if you're in a rush.

Good spot to hang out. Great coffee and nice costumer services as well. Pastery is fresh.

    Shakshouka pastry and pistachio croissant

I walked over from my hotel right at the time they opened, and it was raining. There was no line, only a handful of people waiting for their order. I got the pistachio croissant, shakshouka pastry, and berry crunch oatmeal. It took about 20-25 minutes, which made no sense because the pastries are in the case and the oatmeal......is oatmeal. I suspect they opened without having all of their prep done because the delay made no sense. Their staff looked frantic. The croissant wasn't filled, it just had pistachio cream on the top with a couple of nuts. I would order the shaksouka pastry again. The egg was cooked well, and the tomato was very good. They were supposed to heat it up, but it wasn't warm.

The kale and apple juice is SO good! Its taste sweet with no additives. The salmond avocado toast is also really good. They give you a lot of avocado. There's a lot of seating inside and a lot of people do work here. I will say they just put the salmon all to the side and i had to spread it myself. neverless, it taste good

This was probably the best coffee shop I visited in Chicago. Nice display of treats and menu of coffee. I was able to customize my own coffee order and it came out great. I really enjoyed the strawberry matcha cake.

    Marquetta D.

Customer service was ok. Cute little shop. They have a unique menu. Lots of food options. Not a lot of seating. Loved that they had a community table and outdoor dining as well. My coffee was good. I had a Vietnamese cold brew.

Chocolate Chip Brown Butter Cheesecake - can't taste the brown butter. Tastes like lemon.

Goddess wrap was bland and brown butter cheesecake tasted like lemon. The rose and pistachio latte was good though, can taste the rose but couldn't taste the pistachio.

    Souk S.

This was a great pit stop for morning breakfast. When we first rolled up we thought the chaos would lead to a poor experience but how they handle ordering and seating made sense. Service was excellent and decor was amazing. Coffee beverages were excellent and so was the light breakfast. It was quick and enjoyable and we were on our way for more walking.

Such a good place in Chicago. The staff is very nice and have lots of extravagant pastries available every day. I went back to multiple times because it was so good. There wasn't a crazy amount of seating inside, but there is some outside but you will be hearing the train go by every two minutes. Food comes out pretty fast and seems like it's made with good ingredients. The coffee there is to die for. My favorite drink is the iced cacao date latte with the macadamia nut milk. Cute interior too!

Avocado Toast with 6min egg (asked them to hold the cotija cheese due to lactose intolerance) and Matcha Americano
    Michelle N.

Cute vibey breakfast place conveniently located in walking distance from my hotel. If you Iike diabeetus for breakfast/brunch there are tons of pastries and specialty drinks to get your blood sugar spiking in AM. Avocado toast was great, definitely felt bougie and filling. The "matcha Americano" is just an iced matcha without the sugar or milk which was refreshing and what I wanted.

Ask the Community - Goddess and the Baker, 33 S Wabash-Millennium Park

Can we make reservations to eat in the restaurant?

No you cannot unfortunately, it's first come first serve

Can I order gluten free bread to go?

Absolutely! Contact them directly for pickup options or order through a delivery service.

    What brand of oat milk?

    Pacific Barista Blend

    Do they take reservations?

    Nope

Where would be a good place to park?

There is usually metered parking available right on Wabash. There is also a safe parking garage a half block away at 55 E Monroe. (If you reserve a parking space through an app like ParkWhiz you can get a deeply discounted rate.)

Do you carry Keto (low carb) options?

I don't think they have any items specifically marketed as keto-friendly, but they do have some omelettes and various forms of eggs available. I'm sure they'd be happy to modify the ingredients to work with your diet.

Is the Rainbow Cake Latte a Permanent item?

It has to be at least "semi permanent". I've seen it several times in the past outside of pride week. As a matter of fact I was there Thursday of pride week and they did NOT have it (guessing sold out as it was late in the day :(

    Any Vegetarian options?

We just had coffee and scones, so yes? I am vegetarian also, but just came for dessert. Which was yummy!!

Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

The outside had a light coating of sugar that gave it just the right amount of sweetness without being too much. Once I bit into it, the inside was soft, airy, and slightly chewy from the sourdough, which made it different from a regular donut. There was a subtle tang from the sourdough that balanced the sweetness really well, so it never felt overly sugary. Our family and extended family often ordered birthday cakes from them, and their mango cake was our favorite. When mangoes were in season, they used plenty of fresh mango in the cakes. Their cakes are always fresh, light, fluffy, and not too sweet. My daughter and I also love their individual cakes, especially the Black Pearl and Walnut Cake. Their pineapple buns and egg tarts are her favorites as well. Saint Anna has also been part of our daughter's childhood. When she was little, my husband used to bring her here before or after Chinese school in Chinatown on Sundays. Her go-to breakfast items were the Butter Bun, Ham and Macaroni in Soup, and Diced Ham and Corn in Cream Rice. As she got older, Curry Chicken with Potato became her favorite. She especially loved the potato cubes soaked in the delicious, mild curry sauce. She would always ask for more potatoes and less chicken, haha! Saint Anna is a family-run business, and Sara and Irene, the daughters-in-law, used to take care of the front of house. They were always so friendly and accommodating. After a 6-year hiatus, we finally returned one Friday recently when we happened to be in the area with a friend. Sara is now a co-owner, and it was wonderful to see her again. She immediately recognized us and was so warm and welcoming. She even asked me to relay her greetings to my sisters when she greeted us and again when we were leaving. Those little gestures made our return feel especially meaningful. We were still full from a big dim sum lunch, so my daughter picked up 2 Mini Pineapple Buns and 2 Paper-Wrapped Sponge Cakes, while I got a Red Bean Roll. Everything was fresh, soft, and delicious, and the total came to just under $8, really a great value. Our friend also purchased 2 Fried Sticky Rice Dumplings with Chicken. I had never really paid attention to their limited dim sum selection before, so that was a nice discovery. We love Saint Anna and will definitely be back whenever we're in the area.
