Chili Crisp Egg Bowl Sunrise Burrito Goddess Sweet Cream Cold Brew Cinnamon Date Cacao Latte
    Khanh D.

This was my first stop after landing in Chicago (recommended to me by my friend since I've never been). I got the chili crisp egg bowl which I thought was just okay. My friend's breakfast burrito was decent as well but could have been better. Neither of us were amazed with our drinks, I got the goddess sweet cream cold brew. I do believe that maybe I got unlucky with my choices that day, and that this place could redeem itself if I come back and choose something else. Service was quick and friendly, and the wait was nonexistent when we went on Friday at 9am. My favorite part was sitting outside and watching the city wake up!

Avocado Toast with 6min egg (asked them to hold the cotija cheese due to lactose intolerance) and Matcha Americano

Cute vibey breakfast place conveniently located in walking distance from my hotel. If you Iike diabeetus for breakfast/brunch there are tons of pastries and specialty drinks to get your blood sugar spiking in AM. Avocado toast was great, definitely felt bougie and filling. The "matcha Americano" is just an iced matcha without the sugar or milk which was refreshing and what I wanted.

A charming place for a snack and sunlight. Goddess and the Baker always gets the vibe right for me. I visited on a Sunday and it was definitely packed though. I didn't try the coffee but the matcha latte was fantastic. They even put a delicious little muffin on top! I'm always pleasantly surprised every time I see it because I always forget they do it. :) - AD

We arrived before the 8am Saturday opening, and it was already open with a line that moved fast. There was a large selection of delicious looking things in the case. I picked a chocolate croissant while my husband got a cinnamon roll, and of course, we tried each other's picks. The croissant was absolutely loaded with chocolate cream. It was delicious. The cinnamon roll had a cream cheese frosting. Both items were quite large, so it was good we didn't buy more items or it would have been too much food. My husband had a plain black coffee, too, and enjoyed it. We returned the next day to find a lighter crowd and a slightly different selection of baked goods. I had the almond croissant, which I enjoyed even more than the chocolate one. I do love frangipane! My husband had the apple cranberry galette, which was small but quite dense and very good.

Goddess and the Baker is such a staple in Chicago and this visit was so no different. Their vegan donuts are amazing and the cinnamon roll is a must order. Truly, everything and anything on the menu is delicious! The coffee bar is full service, with the best selection of teas. The workers are so patient, kind and attentive! It's fun to even mosey through the market and see the offerings. There's truly something for everyone and every occasion at the Goddess and the Baker! While all locations are usually busy, I've never had a problem getting a seat, enjoying my meal, or even taking it to go!

Came straight from the airport to refuel. Conveniently located right off the Blue and Red lines. This location was ~10 min walk from The Bean. I went on Fri around 12:30 pm and it was thankfully not super busy. After ordering at the register, they give you a table number. Just find a seat and a server will bring you your order. What I got: - Sunrise Burrito: 3.5/5 - I'm a bfast burrito gal, so I had to order this. It was super hot, fresh, and filling. The burrito was getting super soggy overtime bc of how steamy the fillings were. Unfortunately, the tomatillo sauce didn't really provide any additional flavor. I wish they cut the burrito in half so it's easier to eat. - Iced Latte w/ Oat Milk: 5/5 - I think I got a good one that day bc it was DELISH!! Not overly milky and I was able to taste the coffee roast, YUM! It even comes with a nice muffin treat! Loved that they don't charge extra for milk alt, like nyc. I imagine the place can get busy on the weekends and when there's nice weather. Outlets are located along the wall. They have a water station and restrooms. Staff were very friendly and gave me tips for the Chicago Metra. Great spot for a casual solo bite!

Found this cute coffee shop and decided to give it a try! They had a banana iced latte which is my fave and it was a 10/10. Service was good. It definitely gets crowded but the wait wasn't too long.

Beautiful and aesthetic coffee spot with delicious coffee to back it up, affordable prices as well! Tons of indoor and outdoor seating and lines move super quick as well. Ordering at the counter is nice but wish they had paper menus or at least a QR code for you to scan and look at instead of just the large menu behind the registers. Would 100% stop back by and try some other lattes, large menu!

Okay, so I was really excited to try this spot but I left really unimpressed. The cookie had a crazy amount of cream, and I love cream, but that was so much! Had to finish it over the course of the day and the Lox Bagel was not that great. they, like, cut up the salmon and mixed it into the cream cheese so it was impossible to even know how much salmon there was but I could tell there was a ton of cream cheese I probably wouldnt go back of my own volition. Also I ordered it to go and then sat down to wait for my food and the staff immediately came up and started questioning me about why I was sitting there so dont ask for it to-go if you want to sit down at all. The inside is cute though! the picture of gentrification

I saw this place from a mile away way and instantly made a beeline. I knew my sweet tooth would be out of control when I walked in and boy was I right. Everything looked good! I really wanted to try the s'mores bar but I'd have to get it whole as they don't serve pieces. I settled for the chocolate chip cookie, a classic, which never disappoints. It was nice because they asked if I wanted it heated up, which I've never had asked before! Let me just say, on a cold day, a warm cookie makes such a difference! The cookie was soft and was up there as one of the better tasting chocolate chip cookies I've had. I def. relished every bite. Thankfully I had enough self- control to not get another but if I didn't, I def would have. I'll def stop by next time I'm in the area and maybe then I'll be able to make room for the s'mores bar!

We went into this particular Goddess and the Baker outlet on a very cold morning. The cafe was pretty crowded, and we had to stand in a small line inside. This cafe has a shared table. We ordered our food and got cooped in. We ordered our lattes, breakfast sandwich and eggs. The food is always good (standard). The lattes really stand out for me here. The cinnamon date latte was fantastic. Had a good breakfast experience.

    Vietnamese cold brew

Always a joy to be here. I love the Vietnamese cold brew. My drink of choice here. It's a great location. Always busy but if you're patient you can find a seat. Very nice staff.

What a cute but BUSY store! Walked in on our last day in Chicago on a Sunday morning hoping to grab a bit before heading to the airport and we were surprised by how popular this place seemed to be. However, the line was moving very quickly and we had to maybe wait 5 minutes before being shown to our seats. They do ask you to be done in an hour because of the traffic, which was completely fine with us. My friend and I both got a very filling Morning Sandwich each (with soft, creamy scrambled eggs inside) and sat people watching by the large window, sipping our caramel latte and Persian tea, like benevolent goddesses.

Goddess and the Baker, 33 S Wabash-Millennium Park Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Goddess and the Baker, 33 S Wabash-Millennium Park

Can I order gluten free bread to go?

Absolutely! Contact them directly for pickup options or order through a delivery service.

    What brand of oat milk?

    Pacific Barista Blend

    Do they take reservations?

    Nope

Where would be a good place to park?

There is usually metered parking available right on Wabash. There is also a safe parking garage a half block away at 55 E Monroe. (If you reserve a parking space through an app like ParkWhiz you can get a deeply discounted rate.)

Do you carry Keto (low carb) options?

I don't think they have any items specifically marketed as keto-friendly, but they do have some omelettes and various forms of eggs available. I'm sure they'd be happy to modify the ingredients to work with your diet.

Is the Rainbow Cake Latte a Permanent item?

It has to be at least "semi permanent". I've seen it several times in the past outside of pride week. As a matter of fact I was there Thursday of pride week and they did NOT have it (guessing sold out as it was late in the day :(

    Any Vegetarian options?

We just had coffee and scones, so yes? I am vegetarian also, but just came for dessert. Which was yummy!!

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent.
