I ordered food from here through Door Dash and was very disappointed with my food. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and just about threw it out as soon as I saw it. I asked for No Pickle and No Mustard and that's exactly what they put front and center. Maybe I ordered too early but the food didn't taste fresh. The French fries were good. The ham that was used on the Cuban was horrible. Had to pull it out. Definitely won't be ordering from here again. read more

Just had lunch here and was absolutely blown away! First, the empanadas are superb with the perfect balance of crispness and moisture. Then came the pollo al ajillo which is finger licking worthy. The empanadas are a winner. I tried the chicken empanada. It was filled with quality, savory chicken. I dare say it surpasses the venerable Empanada Mama's. The menu is a little difficult to navigate. In addition to the empanada, I got the "El Tipico" plate. Everything was made fresh so I had to wait about 10 minutes for them to fry up the plantains but it was worth it. The setting is like a fast food place since you order at the counter but the quality, service, and prices are more similar to a sit down restaurant. read more

Unable to find the building. Called the phone number and Jackie said she was on a catering job today and tomorrow. She said they only do take out and catering now. Wish I could have tried the food. Sitting in Jackies Latin Kitchen as I post this. You are always greeted with a smile and a delicious aroma of food. The best Empanadas in the Hudson Valley. Amazing sandwiches and dinners. Went with my coworkers for lunch. I chose Jackies from the great yelp reviews. The restaurant has a nice Latin charm . Jackie greeted us as we entered and she was a very gracious host. The menu has a great selection on Latin delights. I chose the arroz con pollo. My buddies had a chicken dish as well. They remarked that their dish had a Chinese flavor to it and were totally satisfied with their choice. They also had the mango shake which they said was very fresh and tasty. My chicken was great. I highly recommend jackies for lunch or dinner. Jackie was a wonderful host and I will be returning. read more

The servings are huge you will definitely be taking some home. It has a nice atmosphere quiet place for food and conversation. I can't believe this restaurant has been around for 2 years and I haven't heard about it. Everything I ordered was delicious. The shrimp mofongo had at least 8 large shrimp and the sauce was phenomenal. A little different than what I am used to eating shrimp mofongo but wow was it good. The sauce was a little creamy which really added to the flavor of the dish. It came with a small side salad which had real greens (not iceberg) and the dressing was excellent. Finally, I got a side order of chicharron (pork) which is sold by weight, and it was also delicious and it had a very slight seasoning which slightly but noticeably added to the flavor. And it was cooked perfectly. The skin was crispy without it being overlooked. I have found my new "go-to" place here in Middletown for Latin cuisine! read more

If you've never been here, go now. The food is delicious and you can tell it's all home made. It's not greasy fried junk that you find at the fair. This place is awesome! Sometimes the food can take a little long but that's bc they are making everything fresh. A day before thanksgiving eve i ordered a full pan of rice that can feed about 40-50 people and she was booked with orders and still made time to make mines. Love going here. The family vibes are great. They had a nice full service resturant but they recently moved close by. NOW at their new location They only have CATERING AND TAKE OUT. This place has many good sides but also a few downsides. The food is usually delicious and the portions are large. The interior is nice and it's very clean. The owner and her employees are all very kind. The prices are decent, as some things are slightly cheaper than normal and some are somewhat more expensive. Although they're not bad, I'm not a huge fan of most of their empanadas, but their rice pudding empanadas are AMAZING. It's really worth it to go there just for that alone. The only downside is that they are out of the rice pudding empanadas a lot of the time and their hours range. There were a few times that I've tried to go there during prime business hours and they were randomly closed. I think the owner is hurting her business by frequently being closed during the business' posted hours of business. read more

Wow! That's the first word that I can think of when I need to describe the food in this place. Everything from the appetizers to entrees and including desserts were delicious. If you know and love good food you will not be disappointed. Ate the vigoron(yuca and pork rind with cabbage salad) fried cheese with plantain for starters, delish! Carne asada with Gallo pinto ( mixed rice and beans) , perfectedly seasoned and grilled. Also ordered the beef salteado ( stir fry beef with peppers and onions) on the money! Finally for dessert, guava filled cake and a tres Leche cake, what a perfect way to finish my dining experience. By the way all baked on premises!
