Mhew! I had ordered take out for delivery from here a few years back and it was amazing food! Stopped in for dinner and the place is midsized with several tables with the wait staff service is ok at best. Service was ok and the food isn't like I remember it. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't as flavorful as I recall it being or expected it to be. Not sure what's changed but I'm not likely to visit ever again. Also they don't serve any type of alcohol so don't expect a beer when you visit. They even have a "bar" seating area but it's not a bar at all. I really wish the food was on point like it was years ago but I found it to be bland and lacking in seasoning. Latin people don't skimp on seasoning so the cook must not have a Latin bone in his/her body, what a shame. read more

I'm pretty sure this place use to be called something else, the last time I was here it had alcohol & now it does not..no biggy. We were seated & served by a nice young lady, very professional. The place can use dome upgrades, but it does have a nice space outside for seating as well. The food qas beyond decently priced. My husband had empenadas for an app, the dipping sauce was yummy. His dinner was the chicken stew(a little disappointing as I'm puerto rican & he's use to it that way) with rice and beans,he said it could've used more flavor, but AND THAT WAS $10 ONLY! SAY WHAT! I had the Morongo with shrimp, the garlicky broth was so good,I also had the potato ball as an app which only comes with 1 but it was large. 2 soft drinks and all this for a total of $45. Unheard of. My family and I come here every once in a while And we usually love it. This time around we stopped in really quick for a bite before my son's soccer practice. And it was NOT it. The staff was nice but wasn't really attentive. They only came by when it came to an order or dropping something off. They Didn't ask for our feedback. I even had to approach the counter to ask them for my check. The food was Not good. We were the only ones in the restaurant and our food came out cold. Idk if they let it sit in the window and forgot about it. But it wasn't even steaming was barely warm. We were running low on time because we had to be at the practice soon so we ate what we could and rushed out. We will not be returning. I come from a Hispanic back ground and the food from here was sooo bland. Empanadas were dry. The dinner I received was the chicken stew and it was not the chicken stew I'm used to getting from here. The chicken was in a broth which had no flavor tasted like water, instead of the usually red sauce. It was like pale boiled chicken and boiled potatoes sitting in the water, literally no flavor. I had to add alllot of salt. Sadly I also ordered food togo for my parents and explained our experience and they called me back to tell me it was horrible the worst they've ever had. I was embarrassed. I used to truly enjoy this place, because the place is nice. Hope you guys can bring back the love and flavor. One other thing, I ordered a tray of rice one time for a family party a few months ago and my friend ended up having an allergic reaction. He's allergic to shrimp. Which means somewhere in between making the rice there must have been cross contamination. I felt sooo horrible. That's so dangerous and scary. True story. I used to LOVE this place! However as seen from the latest reviews, this place has gotten so horrible. I ordered to go today. Firstly, I had to call twice before anyone answered. The Togo was $10 more dollars than it usually is. I ordered empanadas which were rolled in wax paper put in a brown bag, subsequently the empanadas came unrolled from the wax paper during my walk to the car and/or the drive so the empanadas were all over the inside of the brown bag. The empanadas got grease all over the inside of the bad and the bag broke which left grease all over the seat of my car. There were no usual empanadas sauce that usually come with it which was the whole purpose of ordering the empanadas. In the past the baked chicken used to come with avocado and plantains, those are no longer included for the same price originally. Needless to say, will never be back or recommend this place and wasted $51. read more

We had the carne asada fries for an appetizer and they were perfect , fries were crispy , meat was tasty , and the guacamole was perfect . If I could give less then one star- I would. my coworkers and I placed three orders, which I picked up. When I arrived the girl working was very rude and inattentive. I waited to be acknowledged before just going for the bags on the counter. I told her I was there to pickup 3 orders- to which she rolled her eyes and looked at the bags and says "they're right there". My coworker specifically asked for extra sauce- so I asked for it and she said "it's in the bag" again with an eye roll. I ordered the pernil with arroz con gondules. The pernil is absolutely dry and disgusting. Horribly bland, zero flavor-and perhaps boiled! The rice may very well be white rice with yellow food coloring- again NO seasoning. Pernil was juicy and good. the beef stew was good too. drawback on this place is that it is next to a cigar lounge so it tends to smell like smoke in the restaurant but they deliver! they close at 9PM ( might just be the kitchen). By far the best Cubano I have ever had! The pernil (roasted pork) was so succulent and well seasoned! The bread has the best garlic taste and the ratio of mustard to mayo was perfect... I hate Yuca Fries but these changes my mind forever. They were super crispy but soft inside and it didn't have that deep fried taste; it tasted like Yuca! Dip the Cubano into the mojito sauce; you won't regret it. We also had beef empanadas (not pictured because we ate them so fast) which again was super well seasoned with pieces of onions inside... The reggaeton was playing the entire time. It felt like happy hour but at 1:00 pm. We just moved to the area and this is going to be our new date night spot! Service was on point as well! read more

My husband didn't want either one of us to cook for our pre-Mother's Day celebration so we decided to pick up food from here. Boy was it a mistake, a waste of time and an incredible waste of money. The pale, jiggly chicken was so bland and raw on the inside, and the rice was grainy and wet, and the beans uncooked and flavorless. These are meals that I have cooked for years and are part of my daily life and family culture. I know how each item is supposed to taste, look and feel. Pimiento severely missed the mark on every single item we ordered. To add insult to injury, I called and the owner/manager began to argue with me, saying that well since I had a long drive home and the food probably got soggy on the way there. Basically they told me too bad, so I fed it to my dog and I really don't think she even wanted it either.Oh, and whoever I spoke to on the phone was a true representation of my entire experience at Pimiento...horrendous. read more

Great service. Delicious food. The mofongo was perfect with the fried pieces of pork. The canoa was a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Drinks are gigantic and yummy. I recommend the coconut margarita. I would advise against the alcapurria if you are familiar with what alcapurria's taste like. It was a little dry. read more

Visited today for takeout. The place was very clean with a nice outdoor seating area and plenty of parking. We ordered carne guisado (beef stew) with yellow rice and gandules, a chicken sandwich and shrimp mofongo. All of the food was delicious. Four stars only because I wish I had some mojito sauce for the chicken sandwich because it was a little dry. Similar to what another reviewer stated, the mofongo did have a lot of garlic sauce in the bottom. However, it was great as it added flavor and tasted delicious. We will definitely visit again and try the dining in once Covid eases up a bit. Until then we will continue to takeout. It's hard finding good places to eat so this was a pleasant surprise. The decor is slightly rustic,casual with booths and tables. Also a beautiful gated garden patio on the side of the building. I noticed a large party there enjoying a beautiful eve. They have a happy hour on Saturdays! Buy one specialty cocktail $8.50,get one half off. The prices are very reasonable. I had a huge delicious margarita. The menu has so many options. Many types of rice, beans, pernil,fish,chicken and beef. empanadas were delicious!We had the chicken guisado(puerto rican style stew) And the beef guisado. You choose your sides.
