I had the late night munchies this week and decided to hope on UberEATS to see what I could get delivered besides pizza. After I viewed a few menu photos I decided to order the Kobe Hamburger from Jackpot Bistro. I added Swiss cheese & grilled mushrooms to the burger to make it complete. I was impressed to see what it looked like when it arrived & praying that it would taste as good as it looked. It was delicious! The burger was so tasty, seasoned well with a nice juiciness. It was not a pre-made patty. I've never been inside Jackpot before. The lottery signs are a turnoff. I just assumed it would have frozen microwaved food, but boy was I wrong. The fries are awesome too! Thicker cut and seasoned... This might have been one of the BEST burgers that I've eaten in Gresham. I'll be ordering again. read more

I had driven by his place a few times and was unsure about stopping. Recently, a friend and I were I were area again and this popped up on imaps. It linked us to Yelp and the photos of the interior didn't really match the signage outside (exterior signage looked kind of fancy and interior looked more like local watering hole in the wall bar). We just weren't sure what we were getting into. Anyways, we stopped. The bartender and cook were friendly as were the folks sitting next to us who took a deep interest in our review of the place and how we found it. I believe it must have been an owner or something. We enjoyed chatting with them. The food was great I had fish and chips and the fish is one giant slab. They were also flexible in letting us get a side of mac n cheese which was also great. My friend had a club sandwich that he enjoyed (although different than what he expected, as he is from Holland and thought he was getting fried chicken fingers in bread and that is not the case). We were also excited to hear that they have good beer prices all day. I paid $3.50 for an IPA. Seems unheard of anywhere else. All in all, food and service were great. Glad I finally gave it a try and will definitely go back. read more

One of the best burgers of my life! Kobe beef patty, a really thick fully melted gooey slice of extra sharp cheddar cheese, thick cut slices of bacon, on a bed of arugula, served with a side of special sauce for dipping, and chunky blue Peruvian potato wedge fries. I will be posting a picture soon. Note, this place does not look fancy. It looks like a basic diner, but the food is off the chain! They have a seasonal rotating menu, and their winter menu has roasted duck breast, beef stroganoff, and a rack of lamb. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. read more

While I like the food and love the staff, the prices are high for the over all experience. Maybe offer a happy hour. Loose the formal dinner menu. Get a few sandwich prices down to around ten dollars. read more

This is kind of a mixed review. The service was great where I sat at the bar on a Sunday evening. Was disappointed in that they didn't have any of the Kobe beef burgers that others had been raving about. I was told that they had changed the menu to mainly go with Kobe sliders, but unfortunately they were frozen and I couldn't order any. I ended up getting the Philly which was very large and pretty good. Fries didn't seem like anything special. read more

The food was excellent. The reason for four versus five is that there were very few vegetarian options and the gluten free advertising was misleading. I am gluten intolerant and was excited to see that most of the menu items were listed as "GF". I had a gluten free pasta. The pastas are listed on the menu as including salad and garlic bread. Since the meal is listed as gluten free and their burgers and sandwiches come on gluten free bread, one would likely assume that the garlic bread is gluten free. That is not the case, and if you want the bread with your gluten free pasta to also be gluten free, you have to pay extra. Also, this GF labeling is potentially dangerous for someone who is actually allergic. The labeling is misleading, and getting charged extra for one small piece of toast seemed unnecessary. We were looking for some place different to eat so we stopped in Jackpot. We had the BLTs and they were the best we have had. They were big enough to take home for lunch the next day. Food is really good. I really enjoy the Club Sandwich. Hard to find a good club sandwich in Portland. Honestly kind of an odd place to find good food, but its the truth. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is definitely small borderline divey-ish bar and the prices are reasonable. I have never had an alcoholic beverage here so cant speak to those prices. Parking is plentiful, location is easy to find, and if you like to drink and play games they have it. With so few actually edible food places in Gresham its nice to add this one to my list of go-to's. read more

Gem in a Gresham strip mall type location. Clams were very good and both our meals were top notch. I was skeptical but the reviews didn't lead me astray. Husband got fish and chips which didn't look like chunks of frozen fish but looked like an actual fried filet of fish. My Ruben was well done and tasty. A friend and I popped in here last night because we were in Gresham and I needed some GF food. I have celiac so it can be difficult to find places to eat. This place was great! They made me GF fettuccine Alfredo ( that was DELICIOUS) and my friend had the steamed clams and she loved them. We also had a couple of the strawberry ciders and those were super yummy. We arrived around 830pm on a Sat eve and the place was pretty quiet, so we had the place to ourselves and were able to chat without a lot of distractions. I'm gonna say that the Wellington burger may be the best burger I've eaten in Portland. And how are the fries so perfect? We had the spinach dip and it was yummy. I literally think everything on the menu is probably fantastic. Our server was really nice and said the owner was cooking. She should have a line to get in. Horrible business. Floors are filthy, plates were grimy, cups had obvious lip marks on them because they WERE NOT CLEANED. The special fry sauce is chili sauce, Mayo, garlic, and onion powder . The bartender was obviously either drinking before he came in or on the job because his breath smelled of liquor and he was arguing with everyone like the drunk customer. The owner came in and was even more of a mess letting people take there genitals out and taking pictures. Pretty sure the joint is managed by crackheads. read more

Went for an early dinner with wife and MIL. Place was almost empty. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the elk burger medium rare and wife and MIL split a BLT. Also got the panko frid asparagus. Both sandwiches were huge. Wife and MIL loved the BLT with thick cut bacon and what looked like homemade bread. Server was nice enough to bring half of the BLT and fries on separate plates. Fried asparagus was perfect. Asparagus still had a little snap and crunchy exterior the elk burger was juicy and well seasoned though a little more on the rare side than expected. Waitress was super nice! The place was quiet when we came in and looks a little dive-y but the food is super good. The steamer clams were amazing. Reasonably priced for what we got and though the chef was struggling a bit, everything was nicely plated and the waitress remembered everything that was originally forgotten. ate here a while ago and had the PB Kobe beef burger and GF linguine. it was superb. the pasta was so delicious and our server was adorable and attentive but the ambience is somewhat lacking. It's basically 1/2 video lottery and 1/2 restaurant. my biggest gripe about the ambiance is that they have these terrible wicker chairs and as a thicker person I was not a fan, lol. the quality of the food makes it worth it though. read more

I just came here for a couple drinks to wind down, and was BLOWN AWAY by the food. At first, I looked at the menu and thought that the prices were a little steep for a bar... But then I was convinced by the blonde girl with the eyebrow piercing that the food was way better than the typical bar food.... AND WOW WAS SHE RIGHT! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I order from Uber eats a lot because I have a home bound child. I was getting really tired of McDonald's and Sharis so I wanted to try something else. I ordered the BLT from here (white bread, no additional add-ons) and OHHH EMMM GEEE!!!! It was literally THE BEST sandwich I've ever had, EVER. I was so impressed. I now crave the BLT all the time and order it two to three times a week. Also, the fries are pretty exceptional too! Thank you for this experience. I'm one of those annoying people who are afraid of any pink in their burger and was about to order the Elk burger well done but thought I'd go with medium well. I was hungry and dove in with out looking and part way through saw that to me it was more medium with red juices. But it tasted so good I tossed away any inhibitions, not really it took a lot of reassurance from my coworkers, and ate the whole thing. As long as I don't get food poisoning, like I said I'm paranoid annoying person, this was the best elk burger I've ever had. The fries to me were a bit of a disappointment as they are spicy but bland. I'm not sure what is on them to make them spicy, it did open my nose up, but it wasn't tasty to me. I had two others try them in my office. Mainly because I have a head cold and thought that could have some impact. One said he thought they were bland and the other girl said it was probably because you use clean oil to cook them in. I'm partial to flavor and salt on fries so just a personal preference.
