Caesar salad wrap. I'd get it again.
    Humam T.

I love this place. They have so many healthy options that you can get either in a wrap or as a salad. The prices are fairly reasonable also. And you are always greeted with a smile and a helpful person. We even tried grilling onions for me when she has never done it before. You can't beat this level of service. The parking situation is okay, but I park next to the Milton's window when they are closed. They have few covered tables outside, so you can enjoy the food there when it's not freezing; otherwise, you're freezer or little tushy...

We've been to several salad places around town so when we decided to get salads delivered we wanted to try a new place. They have lots of amazing sounding salads already on the menu, but we like to build our own. You get your choice of greens, lots of add on veggies to choose from, several terrific topping choices, and many dressing options as well as the ability to add on protein (at an additional charge). I like that I can build the perfect salad without every item costing extra. It makes it so much easier and I don't have to think about what I'm paying for each thing. They arrived just fine and were super heavy in the box so we knew there was lots of goodness inside. These were so filling it took a couple times to finish them. We'll definitely be ordering again.

Overall: A great option for those entering into the New Year wanting to be more health-conscious. I would highly recommend calling first to check their hours as they can vary. Location: Tucked away and hidden from plain sight on Burnside, look for the gas station and car wash as it's tucked between those two in the back. Their particular food truck is further back compared to the other three food trucks. Parking: I went there during lunch hours and was the only customer, so I didn't struggle to find a parking spot. Although it is parallel parking, there weren't that many other cars, and the spots were large enough. Service: The cashier was friendly and gave me recommendations how certain things. We ordered two items - (1) Burger Wrap, which was really filling and tasted like a Big Mac, and (2) Crispy Chicken Wrap, really refreshing as it was on the lighter end compared to the Burger Wrap.

The chicken Ceasar wrap was good. I loved the chunk of chicken and we were able to get extra Ceasar dressing to push the wrap to amazing. Nice seating area and they have hand sanitizer which was also nice. Parking is a bit difficult since there is no designated parking but people find a way to park.

I was in the mood for a good chicken Caesar and yelped the area I was heading. A bunch of places came up but with a name like salad heroes I figured this would be a really good one. The trailer is easy to find and the lady that helped me was very nice. The salad was unfortunately pretty mediocre. There was a great opportunity to make something awesome here but it missed the mark. Lettuce, chewy chicken, Parmesan cheese and dressing in a cup. It filled a void but I didn't finish it. Also it was $18 for what's in the pic and I thought that was a little pricey for what I got.

They put so much care into everything. Listen- always get the salad here. They're always delicious and contain surprises. This time we got marinated rhubarb, which is in season, and which I'm excited to make and put in my own spring salads at home. Also, edible flowers, and while we ate lunch, we saw a worker picking them from the little garden. The sandwich was a shrimp roll, which was great, maybe with homemade bread? It was perfect. The sandwich was zesty, with a remoulade and little pickled jalapeños. And what were those crunchy things on top? Crushed barbecue potato chips! A delightful detail most restaurants wouldn't bother with. And the soft serve sundaes, which are also full of artistry and interesting textures! You have to get one. I got the Pendleton burger, it was as good as I remember, I got tons of fries along with it which was great. It was around 16 dollars, but it's a 2 dollar up charge for fries......yes, they charge you extra for fries....at a burger place...they default to potato chips (cheaper for them). I don't care what your "reasoning" is, charging extra for fries at a burger place is pathetic. In terms of service, can't comment too much since I got takeout, but the women there seemed nice and the place was fairly clean, I couldn't make out any dirty areas. They have a few tables outside, on a nice summer day it would be a nice place for lunch. Parking. There's no real parking for this areas since it's in busy street, so you'll have to park a block or two away most of the time, but it's not a big deal. Overall it's a good place and if I happen to find myself in the area, wanting a burger, I don't see why I wouldn't go there again.

You'll get 2 little empanadas and a small cup of soup for $12. I have owned a restaurant, and that is not a very good deal (at all) for the ingredient and labor costs. And the three of us were a bit hungry again only 30 minutes after we ate, so yeah: not returning. More hype than value. That soup, though? That was really good.

Walking into the Soda Shop, it feels like a kid's daydream. There was candy and souvenirs everywhere, a big ice cream counter, and, of course, the soda shop. I noticed that they also sell food here-- it smelled amazing and I would definitely give it a try if I came again. Ordering was easy, and the young man behind the counter was really helpful-- I had never been to a soda hop before, so I had some questions about the options. He did not make me feel silly for having questions, and he did a good job of both training his coworker and being attentive to the line at the same time. I ordered a sugar free salted caramel soda (there were so many sugar free options!!!) It was delightful. I was a little apprehensive that it would actually taste like the flavor, but I was pleasantly surprised. The price point is higher than you would pay for a normal soda, but I think that the novelty of the experience is worth it.
