The employees are really nice, and since Jack's is one of my favorite breakfast spots, it is sad to put a low review, but the food has not been consistent when we've eaten here. Sometimes it tastes great and other times it is cold or the portion sizes vary. Jack's is usually a great breakfast spot because they are one of the only fast food chains who offer grits, but this location is hit and miss. My family doesn't usually frequent Jacks for lunch or dinner since they changed their classic big Jack several years ago. The two thin burger patties and the ciabatta bun are nothing like the original when the big Jack actually had a substantial beef patty and a soft bun. A family member tried their hamburger steak meal for dinner one night and discovered it was nothing but two of their thin hamburger patties with some tasteless brown gravy drizzled on top. Meh. Terribly they can make milkshakes but not ice cream cones.service is slow and terrible. Would not come here.

I went inside the Jacks in Aexandria, AL after I order on the app! I had a coupon that wanted me to have a cashier scan it. No where did it say do this first before placing order! I had already placed the order and paid because there is no place saying order and come in and pay! No you have to pay first so how can you use the code then? I showed it to the lady and she was not nice. Said we can't do that after you paid. I said it doesn't say that in the app. She got real hateful and said you order mobile order and paid that code it not going to work we can't do it! she scanned the code and said it's invalid. Ok so I went ahead and got my order looked in it to make sure everything was there and correct! Nope! I ordered the 2 cheeseburger combo plain and they gave me one plain and one reg. I told the lady and she got mad and said that's what it says on the receipt and I said there is no place in the app that says order one plain and one reg. She was real hateful and said we did what it says and turned her back and told someone to do something. I waited there for a few mins. when she turned around and ask what are you waiting on. I said another plain cheeseburger and she demanded me to give her the reg. one grabbed it and threw it in the trash real hard and yelled I need a plain cheeseburger! Looking at me hatefully and then turned and grabbed the cheeseburger and said here and just about threw it at me! We got home with the food it was good but we won't go back as long as the people there are going to be unfriendly!! The app sucks! read more

Always come to this Jack's whenever I'm around to visit family. Great staff; the food comes out in no time in the morning which is more than I can say for McDonalds or any other fast food breakfast. The biscuits are always a little over done, but the chicken is real and delicious. Coffee isn't bad either. I'll let you decide though. read more

We moved to the coast some 15 years ago. When we come back to visit my son We always come here to eat as he lives less than a mile from the restaurant. Service is always good, restaurant is always clean and up until a year or so ago the food was always better than any other fast food restaurant. Then they began their changes. They changed the fries, the burger buns. They changed the menu all up. They completely eliminated many of the long time menu items. My wife and I went in yesterday morning for breakfast. Both ordered the deluxe breakfast. Nothing deluxe about it. The eggs scream powdered eggs to high heaven. I understand you can get the same eggs in prison. The grits were lumpy as could be. The hash rounds had grease literally dripping from them. Bisquits seemed to have been microwaved. Jacks used to have the best biscuits ever. The Big Jacks are the same size as the Little Jacks used to be. What a shame. For 15 years we have hoped that Jack would build in Foley or Gulf Shores. Not so much anymore. I'm sure this I all about profit margins. I would much rather see my food cost a little more than to see an iconic restaurant turn into mediocre at best. read more
