Always an attentive and friendly staff. Not a lot to say about this place, it's Waffle House. If you have been to one, you have been to them all... All star breakfast..eggs over medium, bacon limp, hash browns, scattered, smothers, covered, capped and diced, reg waffle and a reg coffee. read more

Poor service - two tables were occupied, the rest including the ones at the counter had dirty dishes on them. Three employees were behind the counter, only one appeared to be working, the other two were laughing and joking with each other. I had to ask the one employee, that seemed to be working, to clean a place for me to sit. During my meal I was never offered a coffee refill. Poor Food - The food was not properly prepared. The Grits were a hard glob. The over medium eggs I ordered were barely over easy and closer to raw. The waffle was not fully cooked and had raw batter in the center. Everything I ordered was just cooked wrong. I ordered a hash brown bowl with bacon, sausage, onion and mushrooms. I asked for crispy bacon and we'll done hash browns. I'm not sure the hash browns were even finished cooking normally, much less well done. The bacon was soft and the mushrooms looked and tasted like they were right out of a can and not even heated up really. Literally every time I go here I have to RUN to the bathroom (often times before I even finish eating) It's just gross. They do not offer iced coffee, which is a favorite of mine, and their coffee is literally always bitter. I seriously only go here when my husband insists. It upsets his stomach too most of the time but he still likes it. read more

Because on a late night in (or near) Alexandria, where else are you going to go out for a bite? This was my first visit of a Waffle House, and it did not disappoint. If you're like me, and not familiar with a Waffle House, this is American diner food. The closest thing to compare this to is an IHOP or a Denny's. The staff here was enthusiastic and friendly. When we mentioned that this was my first visit to Waffle House, it definitely took things to the next level. * "What you do you mean you've never been to a Waffle House? WHERE are you from?" * "CALIFORNIA? Are stories about ______ true?" * "You've GOT to take a picture. Here, wear this hat. Wait, let us make you a waffle... on the house!" Would be 0 if it would let me. Called several times no answer. Drive down, one lady was asleep. Made the wrong order. Got a Texas Bacon cheese steak melt, and gave me a hash brown bowl? Overcharged me 6$. Once I pointed it out, somehow made it cost 3$ more. Awful. read more
