They usually have 5-6 styles of coffee available, and M-Th from 2-5 is "happy hour" (donut + coffee = $1). Not very happy with service. Ordered $130+worth of donuts/coffee. Told them we would pick up at a certain time. They insisted on putting an earlier time for pick up. The order was ready when we came in but we were told the coffee would only be good for another 30 minutes due to time put in slip (they prepared it earlier than on order. The lady would not listen to me. Was very rude and quickly ran off an hid behind kitchen door. I saw her peaking out while the young man helped us to our car the man was very polite. Once the man came in side the lady came out of hiding to talk with man. Will never go back and have told several people about this beware rude staff. It was a different lady each day. I can't really speak on the customer service, as I've only ever eaten from Jack while at work and someone else has brought in a decouple of dozen. I also can only speak on the cinnamon roll, because that's all I've ever had from Jacks. My limited experience with Jacks would usually keep me from writing a review but the cinnamon roll is AMAZING. It's less dense than that a traditional cinnamon roll. It's has the density of a donut. A really good donut. It's like a good donut and a good cinnamon roll had a baby. I've yet to get a fresh one. Right off the bat, I was SO excited to find out that this place is open late! (A good place to get dessert after dinner is very hard to come by in the Indy area!) I visited with a friend one night and they still had plenty of options to choose from. I had a huge chocolate yeast donut with chocolate frosting. Updating my review to unfortunately knock a star off. I've been here 4 times now. The first time, I got a tiger tail that set my heart on fire. Unfortunately, the last three times I have come in, there has been an abundance of the less popular donuts, but they've been completely out of my favorite- dual flavor tiger tails. They always have a full tray of vanilla twists and a full tray of chocolate twists, but no tiger tails. I understand donuts run out, but for a place that's open until 9pm, I expect to be able to get my fave donut when I make the 20 minute drive to Carmel at 10am in the middle of the week. If tiger tails are so popular that you can't keep them in stock after 10am, then you should consider making less of the single flavor ones that there always seem to be a million of. I'll update my review if I can ever get my hands on another tiger tail again. read more

These donuts are huge and heavy. That's not a bad thing (except for your midsection, I suppose). It's no Long's but it's the next best thing and honestly, it's a very different style of donut anyway. When I get donuts, I get them fresh off the press, right as the door opens and eat part on day one and part on day two and three. The first time I tried Jack's, I was not impressed. I got a donut with carmel icing and one with peanut butter icing. The carmel was too sweet for my taste, which is saying something as I have quite the sweet tooth, and the icing on the peanut butter iced donut was honestly better than the donut itself. I went a second time and got a large variety. The basic yeast donut is great and chocolate yeast donut is probably the most amazing yeast donut I've had and keeps well for second day devouring. The cake donuts are on the harder side and are not really worth the calories. The creme filled and jelly filled are great. They don't skimp on the filling. Best of all however, are the donuts with random candies jammed on top. Reeces, Snickers, Butterfingers, oreos, chocolate chips, whatever. These are so delicious and filling and again, HUGE. You'll definitely be satisfied after one. They're not some illusion donut that's secretly filled with air. It's all delicious fluffy dough topped with icing that tastes exactly like its name implies (chocolate and vanilla taste like chocolate and vanilla, not just vague sugar flavoring). For leftovers, if you throw them in the microwave for 10 seconds or warm in the oven briefly, they're good as new. Other pluses: merchandise is fun, coffee is good, hours are great for a donut shop, and staff is friendly. Highly recommend. read more

We had two people working who were not willing to explain what every single one was- so I ended up just getting one that sounded good and maybe not the best. The seating is nice. This is my first time here & my experience, not so positive considering the young lady received me, did not greet me or welcome me upon arrival, not even a good morning. This is complete opposite of what I thought would take place, considering positive reviews. That being said, she upset about someone, bc she started to vent to her coworker who seem to get caught in the cross fire of her negative comments, making reference to "he wants me to work so he can get paid and I need tires" not sure what that was about. I requested 3 Dozen Donuts, for my office staff. Not sure I will return back considering the exp was not the best. Hopefully the donuts are AMAZING... I'll find out as soon as I deliver them to my staff. When the young lady swiped my card, she never asked me if I wanted a copy of my receipt... she never said thank you or anything. Worst customer service always at the Carmel Indiana location....just stood there for 10 minutes with another customer, and the "Renaldo" looking kid working there never so much as acknowledged our presence....or put his phone call on hold to help us. I'll give 2 stars for their great freshly made donuts but the service sucks and every time I decide to go back I regret it cause something always gets wrong. Something is either burnt or cooked wrong. Also the same man owns the laundromat next door. This review is solely for the donuts. I ordered the cake donuts, yeast donuts and a couple of yeast donuts with creme filling. My favorite was the donut with the creme filling. You can tell, the second you taste the creme filling that it is a homemade filling that many donut shops neglect nowadays. They had two cake donuts available today, the first one was pumpkin and the second was blueberry. The donuts were great. I wish the older women working behind the counter would have been willing to go into further detail about the donuts. Whenever I asked what was in the donuts or what the flavors of the donuts were she gave me the shortest possible answer. When we were at my friend's house, we decided we wanted doughnuts for breakfast. I'm usually not a real big fan of doughnuts. However, these were awesome!! They melt in your mouth they are so soft. They have a variety of flavors (I wish they had more filled doughnuts). We got an assortment, and there wasn't one that we didn't like. They do need a few more people working on a Sunday morning (there were only 2 and they had run out of boxes, so one person was folding boxes while the other was working the counter. We went on grand-opening day in the early afternoon when I guess things had died down (they said there had been a line out the door in the morning). It smelled wonderful inside and their doughnuts are baked fresh several times a day. They don't have a large variety of doughnut types, but the doughnuts are good. I got the chocolate iced white cream filled doughnut. It was very good and fresh and the dough was a lot lighter/less dense than other doughnuts I've had, which I enjoyed. The employees were all high school kids who looked like they were still learning. The cashier was very friendly. I got the caramel crunch coffee, which I enjoyed. It looked like there was an area for kids to play in the back with a tv, so it's probably a nice place to take kids if you have them. read more

Line was out the door when I got there around 10am. I was afraid the selection would be minimal and the line would be slow. NOPE. Line went fairly quick and the there was a GREAT selection still available! The donuts were HUGE! $1 for most $1.50 for specialty donuts. The girl that helped me was very nice. I ordered a self serve coffee and took off. I took the donuts home and opened our magical box of yeasty, sugary sweet treats. They were so fresh and and very tasty! I had a craving for a cronut and a friend recommended this place. I got there at 5:05am. The door was locked and a lady was setting up. I waited to try and make eye contact no success. Finally after a few minutes of knocking she looked my way. She then went back to what she was doing. 90 seconds later she came and unlocked the door and immediately turned her back to me. I walked to the counter and asked if they had any cronut to which she replied rather rudely that they do not come out until 8:00am. Then turned her back on me again. Today we visited Jack's Donuts for the second time since their opening. My absolute favorite is the jelly donut. The jelly filling had a thick and flavorful raspberry jam. Another favorite is their chocolate yeast with chocolate frosting topped with crushed Oreos. My only negative would be when a lady came in while we were there and wanted to buy 4 dozen donuts but walked out empty handed when she was told they were out of boxes. Jacks Doughnuts is the perfect place to get doughnuts. We go there every Friday night that way we have breakfast for the next two days. Their doughnuts are larger than normal, which is great. Fantastic service. I dropped in to get some donuts for the office and I was no shocker the only customer (it was before 6 am on a Monday) The lady behind the counter was very helpful. I noticed A picture of one of the founders wearing an asu shirt and that was great to see a piece of my home town in Indy. Jacks donuts are always a hit in the office. I was told by coworkers that it was cash only. Thankfully that was incorrect. Though we did have to finagle the iPad for the purchase to go, debit ended up working in the end.
