This place is adorable. I was looking up where to get a Vietnamese coffee, and the shop came up! I was like, wow, different options to try and close to home; let's go. I would say this place is for Instagram; there are many photo opportunities, and it is on Main Street in Carmel. I've been in here twice, just for the mochi donuts. I have ordered both through the order station on the wall and at the counter with a person. The donuts are delicious and they typically have 6 different flavors each day. The disappointing thing is that they don't keep them stocked until close. I went in at 6p one day and got the last 3 donuts (even though they are open until 8p). It's a bunch of young, mostly teenage girls who work there. I asked why they don't keep donuts until close and the two young girls said that only someone over 18 can work the fryer and they were both too young. They said that the last person over 18, left at 4p that day. I have tried any of their drinks, but they look good. Ordering on the wall station was easy. I'm hooked on this place. Both the drinks and the mochi donuts are so satisfying. It's hard to find pandan flavor here in Indianapolis and it's here at Bober! So far all the iced drinks I've tried have been on point. The stir fried boba has always been soft and chewy, the crystal boba with that chewy crunch, and the jelly soft and silky. Sometimes i go to boba shops and the add ins are hit and miss with consistency but I've not experienced that here. The interior is super cute too! There is free street parking but on Main Street you may have to drive around before you secure a spot during peak hours. The mochi donuts flavors change weekly which is announced on their Instagram page but i believe taro is a permanent flavor. **small edit** We've been here a few more times after my review and the amount of ice you get in the drinks is a bit much. You can get it with less ice (.60 more), but I feel like you shouldn't get 75% ice from the get-go. It's hard to get to the boba if the entire cup is filled with ice. Also, the cup is sealed and then the dome lid is placed on top. Could save a little plastic without the dome lid! The seal on the top of the cup does what it needs to do already. My dad ordered the mango green tea and I had the taro tea. Both with boba. The boba was good and not too sweet! Drinks are what you can expect from a standard boba shop. The only thing I felt that was missing was that there aren't any smoothie or slushie items. If you have never been to a boba shop, there may be a lot going on but the descriptions are good and have recommendations on sweetness. I didn't have the mochi donut, but seems like you can only order one if you order a drink. On Tuesday's, you can get a mochi donut for $1 rather than $3. This place has the cutest vibes! They really went all out with the florals and cute decor. I came in specifically for the Momo Egg Drop sandwiches, which are Korean egg sandwiches that you usually only find in major cities like Chicago or on the West Coast. It's super cool that they brought this unique concept to Indy! I got the egg and cheese sandwich, which was about $11 but there are lots of other options with bacon, avocado, or bulgogi beef (will def try this next time). They also have "sliders" which are smaller versions of the sandwich. I loved my sandwich and the portion was actually large enough for me to have a little leftover for later. I loved the soft scrambled eggs and how buttery soft the buns were, and the sauce and nori flakes but wish they put it throughout the sandwich instead of just as a topping. One other thing to note is they don't open until 10am but it would be nice to be able to get their breakfast sandwich earlier. Came here to try their mochi donuts and was not disappointed! When I came in, there were barely any donuts left. The employee informed me that they had just been cleared out, and that if I waited a few minutes, they'd have new batches prepared and ready for me. I waited less than ten minutes and they replaced almost all of the donuts in that time! They're very efficient. I was also told that they switch out their flavors every Thursday, which explains why they were so popular that day. The mochi donuts I ordered were Samoa, thin mint, tagalong, taro, lemon, and raspberry. They were all great! The raspberry and the the thin mint definitely had the strongest flavor. Need more of this place! Friends mentioned this donut shop and I fell hard and fast in love. The tea and latte selection is so bright and fun. The mochi doughnuts are fantastic and flavorful. I love how creative they get with the flavors and that there are new flavors every week. The first time we went here was coincidentally on their dollar donut day. These donuts seemed to keep a little better than regular donuts. They didn't dry out as fast as a certain Kremey brand of donuts do. Both times I went, I received great customer service. The employees were knowledgeable, informative, and kind. The interior of this place was a whimsical instagrammable haven.
