All I wanted was 2 pounds of chicken breast and 1 pound of 80/20 ground beef for a couple meals. Literally watched them sell 20 pounds of chicken breast to two people and 10 pounds of 80/20 ground beef to another person, all that they had, in the middle of a pandemic. The guy, who was a bigger guy, actually wanted to buy thirty more pounds and they would have sold it if they had it, right in front of everyone's face in line there! This guy actually bought a big pork loin to boot too. I just walked up to the butcher/supervisor(?) who called my number and was like, "Are you serious, did you just do that?" He then responded with some bull country saying about being a "day late and a dollar short" and I cut him off with some choice words, left my basket and walked out. If you're down to your last ten or twenty pounds of something, at least save it for individual buyers or ask the bulk buyers to wait. I'm willing to pay a little bit more not to deal with Jack's. This was a long time coming. I do think their butcher guys are kind of rude, if not out of control. Where's the management? I feel like if they sold out of the last five or ten pounds to a few people, it would be one thing. But to be next in line and literally watch an entire tray of meat shoveled into huge bags for three pigs is just crazy. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one furious at what happened. I wouldn't be surprised to see this place go bankrupt some day, from other reviews, their staff seems to rub people the wrong way too. read more

I have been going to Jack's for more than two decades since when they only had one store on Bay Rd and never experienced a problem until today. I went with my brother to get a couple pounds of chicken breasts, nothing crazy and unfortunately had a people in front of us that were just hogs, one literally. The one woman bought 10 pounds of the chicken breasts and then the and I am not joking 400 pound guy who already had two giant pork loins in his basket scooped up the rest of the chicken breasts at least ten pounds. On top of that he wanted more and they said a truck would be in in the morning with more and he said he would be back in the morning. Naturally my brother and I were irritated, the people behind the counter should have either instituted limits or asked us if we wanted any before selling it all, there were only a handful of us there. The cherry on the cake was when my brother went up to the one guy behind the counter to see if they had any he made a snide remark like "you're a day late and a dollar short". Rightfully my brother was angry, left his basket with everything there and walked out and I right behind him. This was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen and encountered in my life, my only regret is I didn't record it and put it on YouTube where it belongs. read more
