A little pricey but absolutely delicious super friendly people lots of seating I had the beef eater the roast beef was awesome my wife got the Italian grinder said it was great. I noticed that they had ribs and they looked amazing as well I will be back for sure they also have outdoor seating in the summer sometimes live music also tried the meat sticks and polish sausage. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I visited from out of town, and would make the trip just to come back here to stock up. Every single staff member was kind, welcoming and helpful. Their prices seemed reasonable, especially for getting all meats vacuum sealed. I'm excited to try all that we bought. Their meatballs are incredible, and their Italian grinder sandwich was fantastic. I will absolutely be coming back! read more

Sandwich was delicious. Meats we're not the best, chorizo was very greasy and not as good as I liked. Taste was missing. Meatballs we're a nice size and delicious. Decent priced meatballs. The rest of meat was at going prices or a bit high. Not impressed in meat market but the sandwiches were wonderful read more

The deli in Meats and Moore is across a small parking lot from Meaty's Roadhouse BBQ. Read my lengthy review about the full meal we enjoyed tonight, and absolutely loved. The salad half of the meal came from Meats and Moore. We ordered the Hen House Salad based on Yelp reviews and were very satisfied. The ranch dressing was tasty and homemade, a wonderful touch. Every single ingredient in the salad was perfectly fresh and paired well together. The nicest aspect was that were were able to order the salad while ordering the rest of our meal at the BBQ place, and they called it over, saving us a trip. Great staff and wonderful customer service. Can't wait to return to try some of their soup and sandwich selections. read more

"Best" Deli Sandwiches i have found in area. Rooster Deli is in back of store, first day I had the Reuben special and it was great! Big thick sandwich with lean corned beef, cooked just right. I left with a big smile from the lunch experience. Two days later, still in town and time for lunch -- this time I had the Pull BBQ Pork sandwich and chicken soup. The pork was tender and good flavor and for $5 it was a real good deal! I have two more days in town, I am guessing I will be back. Easy 5 Star for food taste, quantity, price and atmosphere! Note they are the same as Meetys bbq place in the parking lot. So if that place is closed come over to Meats/Moore and Rooster Deli for a great lunch! read more

Mean Rooster Cafe: Fresh made sandwiches with the meat right from the deli. We ordered Ruebens and they sliced the meat to order. Homemade sauerkraut and homemade mayo. Thick slices of deli bread! Delicious food!!! The staff were very friendly and helpful as this was our first time trying Meats & Mooore! This is a butcher shop and restaurant combined. Everything was top notch and very fresh! Inside Meats and Moore there is a deli in the corner that is an absolutely awesome sandwich shop. The sandwiches are huge and better than anywhere in town (yes even better than Wanigans.) My husband and I have been there many times. The sandwich shop is called "Roosters" and outside Meats and Moore there is a little outside building in the parking lot that has great barbecue. Both the sandwich shop, meat store and the barbecue building have the same owners. At the sandwich shop inside we have had the pastrami, roast beef, turkey and Reuben which came with chips and cole-slaw. We could not decide which sandwich was better as they were all great. We have good appetites and neither me or my husband could finish our sandwiches. The main attraction is a great quality meat market, with a great selection of meats. We have bought meat here and never have been disappointed. As for the barbecue in the outside little shack, they have won many awards through the years that line the walls. The pork ribs and chicken and beef brisket barbecue are great. Even their hamburgers are better than good. They have many different sides from potato salad, broccoli to beans. You can purchase ala carte or a meal. This was a great find as we have passed this place many times and the aroma from the hickory smoke permeates through your nose that finally enticed and allured us to see what smelled so good. You can eat in the little shack metal building or there are picnic tables outside. Don't pass this place by. You won't be disappointed as there is something here for even the pickiest eater. And well worth the five stars. If there was a six star option, this would be the superior place for six stars. read more

Two great places, one location. An honest to God, smoke in your face kind of BBQ! This place is known for their Ribs, Pulled pork and all of the fixings. I was craving chicken tonight so George and Tic fixed me up. I had the half chicken with potato salad, baked beans and waffle fries! The chicken was smoked perfectly, so juicy, tender and tasty. The sides I chose were fabulous! On the other side of the parking lot is their deli and meat market. My Husband went in there and brought out the "Hen House" salad. This salad was made right in front of him. Fresh Spinach, strawberries, thinly sliced grilled chicken, a sliced hard boiled egg, nuts and dried cherries! Salad dressing was a raspberry vinaigrette. This salad was fantastic! Great flavor and fresh! George, Tic and the team at Meats and Moore were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely eat here again! Thanks guys!! read more

This place is amazing ! Nice little family owned place ! the owner was so nice and helpful! Everything we ordered was sooo good! I ordered the Hot pastrami sandwich and he makes his own pastrami there it was mouthwatering. The Other thing I really like about this place is he gets his meats all natural!! nothing injected in them you get The real deal here. We will totally be coming back here for sandwiches and salad's! I ordered the Brisket Platter. I ate half, shared a bite with my wife, then brought the rest home to make a brisket and bacon sandwich the next day! I have been dreaming about that meal all week. My wife and I are going to drive the 50 miles back to "Meats & Mooore" again the following weekend just to do it all over again!!! Oh my GOD is that good cooking, you guys rock! They have a outside smokehouse in the parking lot. Anything that deserves to be smoked and grilled on a wood fire can be found here. Brisket sandwich is downright amazing. I was really surprised I had never heard about this place. Guy that cooks on the fire is not real friendly, but I guess it doesnt matter once you take the first bite. They have been having live music on Friday's which is great. A real diamond in the rough that I highly recommend. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. It has been awhile since I've been here, it was a nice day yesterday so my bf and I decided to grill out. We stopped at Meats right before they closed and got NY Strip steaks. Awesome cuts of meat. They have stuffed brats too. The steaks were delicious. I apologized to the guy for stopping in right before they closed and he was nothing but nice. I've never had bad meat here. They even give you an option to vacuum seal the meat too. It cost us $17 for our beautiful cuts of meat, a lot cheaper than eating out, that's for sure. read more

Full service butcher shop with bbq outside. Anytime anybody from my wife's family finds their way through Bay City we/they stop here and stock up. With a large variety of store made sausages (the sole reason we stop here) and a wide variety of meats, they live up to their name providing meats and mooore. Can you name a place meatier than this? I sure cant. It's been called a fantastic barbecue paradise by many and has stood in Bay City for the past 7 generations. Once the site of a sprawling cattle farm situated next to a bustling railroad line that still brings fresh meat right to the door! We ordered our two favorite meaty picks, the Jumbo Dog and the Pulled Pork Sam. Never in my life have I had a meal that made me feel more connected to my American roots. I would recommend this place to anyone however young or old! read more

Usually love coming here for the great prices on bulk meat, especially since you can have it packaged for the freezer! My last visit however I was disappointed with the quality of their chicken breasts as it was very tough and had large chunks of bone/cartilage still attached. All 10 lbs the consistency when cooked was like gristle. I will come back for their steaks and brats but I'm afraid to spend so much on their chicken after that. read more

In the lower tier of butchers in town. I have gotten some steaks there that were absolute shoe leather. BBQ and restaurant is decent.

We stopped in specifically hoping to get a good German bratwurst. What we received was much more like a hot-dog-style sausage than what we would consider a traditional bratwurst. It was good enough, but it definitely wasn't the authentic German brat we were hoping to find. It tasted more like something you might purchase prepackaged from a grocery-store deli than a fresh brat from a specialty sausage shop. We also ordered a pickle, which was actually very flavorful. It was served whole in a Ziploc bag, which was a little unexpected, and while the flavor was good, the skin was extremely tough. The biggest disappointment was the disconnect between the meat market and the food being served. With the sausages and other products displayed in the meat cases, based on their in store sign, we expected something fresh and house-made. Instead, our meal gave us the impression that many of the prepared ingredients may be purchased premade rather than being the same type of homemade products the market appears to specialize in.
