This is one of the falling recess lights Jack installed.
    Eva N.

Jack was working on remodeling of my 2 bathrooms as well as other repairs and installation of recess lights. As more time has passed I've been noticing one thing after another that he either didn't replace as he was supposed to (old lights in the bathrooms) since he was installing all recess lights throughout the house or seeing a lousy work - recess lights coming out of the ceiling! Now what really got me upset is the sink in my daughter's bathroom that fell through the vanity! I was shocked to see that since I've never ever seen anything like that happened. I gave Jack a chance to come back and fix the falling recess lights as well as a bathroom sink that fell through! No response! None at all! I really feel at this point I need to warn others of his business practices because I myself would be glad to know this before I hired him! I contacted Jack like I mentioned and didn't hear one word back from him! I am very dissatisfied with the overall work and the money I paid - the remodeling of the bathrooms alone that he really just one remodeled was $40,000! And the sink fell off now! I mean I cannot even believe what kind of work he delivered that I've been noticing like I said one thing after another I see that he didn't do right or skipped to do completely to save himself more money! I felt since I am an immigrant myself that I can trust him because he's an immigrant trying to have his American Dream come true and that's why I had thought he must be a hardworking and honest businessman! Well, that's not what I got from him! No answer, no response and no apologies to me, not trying to fix anything anymore at ALL??!! Is this a legitimate business? How can this possibly be your customer service??!!! I FEEL VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED WITH HIS OVERALL PERFORMANCE AND FEEL I NEED TO SPEAK UP ABOUT THIS BUSINESS so that there's no more dissatisfied and disappointed customers here!

    Kitchen Remodel

Stop looking for another construction / handyman service! I have thought long about what to say about Jack and his business so here goes! I called 5 different construction companies to provide quotes for remodeling our kitchen and main bathroom. Jack arrived early for his time slot and provided me his quote before he left. I selected Jack based on his willingness to listen to our ideas, his friendly professional manner and his fair price. The Sunday night before demo started, I could not sleep. Thoughts of what the heck have I done, Jack's company does not have that many yelp reviews. What if he takes our initial deposit and never returns? What if he hikes the prices once the works start beyond our budget? His company says handyman does he really know full remodeling? The night sweats were all too real that night. Now let me tell you the reality! Jack and his crew showed up early Monday morning. I told him of our change in one piece of work and he immediately reduced our price. By Monday afternoon, my kitchen and bath were demoed, and the debris was clean. Jump to Thursday my Kitchen and bath were completely done! YES, 4 DAYS and DONE! Did I mention I added additional items like recessed lights? The fact that my idea of how to save a cabinet did not work and he had to add 2 new cabinets? YES DONE IN 4 DAYS.... On budget! Enough said, if you are looking for an honest, upfront, hardworking construction company look no further. If you have any questions about his services, feel free to inbox me and I will be happy to provide verbal confirmation of my wonderful experience with Jack's Handyman service. P.S. ....Jack will be back doing my master bath next! Levett

    New Ceiling Fan

Hired Jack to come install new Ceiling Fans on two rooms and replace drywall in bathroom before we put in a new vanity. Quality...Quality....Quality Service! If you want it done right Jack's Handyman is the best. He goes above and beyond. A great example was before hiring Jack; I had other companies come to quote our project. They walk in looked at the work then said ok $ for the work. Jack came in reviewed what needed to be done and said, "ok for this project it will be $ and I have a few questions for you. Are you replacing the area where the old mirror was because I can sand down the glue and repaint the area just incase you get a smaller mirror. The way the pluming pipes coming out the wall I would like to removed this elbow so they don't cut a bigger hold in the back of your vanity. Also because there was a water problem, I will use mold resistant drywall to ensure that will not be a problem in the future. You may also want to place flooring here before the vanity comes in to ensure the whole thing is level." That's why I hired him, because I knew the work was going to be done right. He was not only looking at the job, he was looking out of my family. I am sure there are other companies in the valley that do a good job. I just never had one come and took their time to share their thoughts about a project as if they was fixing their own home. I felt the other guys might have rushed their work because they have 2 or 3 other jobs that day. Jack didn't work rushed. He and his assistant talked about what to do and communicated with me before each stage of the way; before, during and after. Not sure about you, but it's refreshing and gives me a peace of mind to hear the knowledge of a professional. When he left I knew his work done and done right. 100% Satisfied !

(Note: The furniture bar cabinets and library were added later on and were not part of this contractor's project). From start to finish, the entire team was extremely professional, dedicated, and highly skilled. On the very first day we met, Nir helped design a 3D view of the project that perfectly captured exactly what we had envisioned. Throughout the build, we had a weekly walkthrough with Nir to check if we had any questions or concerns, which kept communication incredibly clear. Elba was also an excellent project coordinator who was always available to answer our questions and keep everything on track daily. The construction crew themselves were clearly very experienced and knowledgeable; they followed our approved plans meticulously and were happy to accommodate extra requests along the way. You can truly gauge the quality of their work by the fact that every single city inspector visit passed on the first try--nothing ever had to be rescheduled or redone because everything was built perfectly to plan. Additionally, all of the finishes--from the drywalling to the trim work and paint--were done with high-quality materials and top-tier craftsmanship. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend them!

I was first referred to Preferred Builders by my tax preparer, Happily, my first repair/remodel turned out wonderfully so I immediately started a remodel on my own home. Scope of work: remove all the carpeting in the house and install laminate plank flooring in those areas. The travertine flooring in the entry, kitchen and hallway had large craters which collected dirt and water residue after washing. I had the floor steamed, the craters filled and the whole floor resealed. I had a gasline installed in the kitchen and a new gas oven installed. I also had a complete bathroom remodel which included removing a huge jacuzzi tub and installing an elegant and safe walk in shower. For the bathroom Nir listened to my concerns and needs and then gave me two 3-D renderings of my options. Elba was fabulous and fast with permits, a purchase list and provided weekly job schedules and updates. I have now completed this remodel and I can't be happier. My Preferred Builders team was pure gold! I highly recommend Nir, Elba and Orel, the Foreman. Orel was caring and his experience was invaluable, Roman, (drywall, moldings, paint, flooring) Carlo (beautiful tile work) and Abnir were all professional, caring and kind. My remodel was reasonable and fast. I definitely recommend Preferred and I already have.

He kept the job moving at a surprisingly fast pace and promptly resolved issues as they arose. Pricing was competitive -- we got multiple estimates and Way To Go came in reasonable without cutting corners. You can see it in the finish quality: the stonework is clean, the tile on the curved bench is precise, and the side yard pathway turned out better than we imagined. Our pool cleaner gave high praise on the resurfacing work when he arrived for the first cleaning! Highly recommend for anyone looking to transform their outdoor space -- quality work, fair pricing, and a timeline that'll surprise you.

Once all the materials were ordered and ready, the actual work was completed in about a week, which I was really happy about. Tamir kept everything organized and the crew stayed on schedule. I also appreciated that he was able to accommodate a couple of last-minute additions I requested during the project and made sure everything was taken care of. Alon was friendly and nice and the work was eventually completed after a roller coaster of a process that took 6 months. I had been sitting on this review after living with the remodel for over a year. I finally decided to post this review due to some recent upsetting discoveries. I hire a general contractor to manage coordination with sub contractors and to check on their quality. There were issues with both management and quality! Minor consolidation was that they at least finished. On the management side, they subcontracted the structural work, plumbing, and electrical. Something happened with the plumbing/structural contractor part way through and was replaced and we were warned not to engage with them if they come to me for payment (strange). Then they fired a sub contractor to the electrical sub contractor (who damaged a lot of the new electrical wires). They had a payment dispute with the electrical subcontractor, who later tried to put a lein on my home. To their credit, they did take care of it. Quality and attention to detail was not great. After dry wall and paint, I found lots of little divots in the wall because of poor patch work. Paint kept on peeling off the repainted doors and required several repairs. After several rounds of getting them to come back to fix things, we got gave up. A part was not installed correctly on our new pocket doors; instead of taking off the trim and installing things correctly, they installed an ugly fix on top of the trim. I was looking around the attic recently and was shocked to find hidden issues. Many of the electric wires that they fixed with twisted wires and electrical tape not enclosed in boxes. Some electrical boxes were not attached. Some nuturals were twisted together without a wire nut and it got loose at some point causing open nuturals and broken outlets. None of my my bathroom vents were connected even though I explicitly asked before it they can double check. The vent duct work was laying next to the fan. One of the fan duct flaps still had the factory stickers to remind the installer to remove before installing the duct! I will not trust them ever again.
