There might be a slight asterisk to this review but I am confident that had I not been severely hung over at 8 o'clock at night it would still be great. I had to get some supplies for the week at target which is in the Eastchase area so I just decided to drive around and explore the suburban metropolis I know as Montgomery, Alabama. I was driving around for literally an hour and nothing seemed to look good at all so as I passed the "Aura" adult entertainment factory towards downtown I noticed that there was a captain D's( irony is perfect) and a couple other restaurants on the left side of the road. I did my best version of an Alabama bat turn and power slide into the parking lot of this place called Al's. During the process of doing my best Vin Diesel impression of Fast and Furious I noticed only one truck in the parking lot so I decided to park and look at the menu. I was scrolling through the menu faster than a teenager scrolling through Twitter and the parking lot began to fill up, before I knew it there were eight cars in the drive-through line so I decided to ghost ride the whip and hop in line. During my 20 minute wait( The sign clearly states of food is cooked to order which I greatly appreciate) I began to second-guess my decision if I must admit the truth. My decision soon became validated when the sweetheart who was taking orders took my money and gave me some steaming styrofoam and the aroma of wing sauce and wings soon began to permeate the cockpit of this Kia optima I was driving. My hotel is a short five minute drive but that seemed like a true eternity given that I was hung over and now it the intoxicating smell was running through the car. While the car was still moving somehow I put it in park and ran up the stairs to my room. See picture and bc video for this awesome eating experience. I simply opened up the box and started munching like I have never had a chicken wing before. The sauce is good and the fries were as well so to summarize it was great, give AL's a try, I am glad I did. ** my only negative experience with this was of course the buttermilk ranch that came in a Keurig looking coffee pod. If Al's were to make their own house ranch this would truly be a 10 out of 10. My advice would be to seek out the ranch from Wingstop a couple miles down the road and you will set yourself up for success.

This Subway has consistently bad service. Maybe bad isn't the right word....it's more annoying…read morethan bad. I ate here a few times one year ago, then decided to try it out again this week. The service style was exactly the same - chaotic and coarse. Here is what to expect: you come in and wait in line. The person taking orders is yelling out nonstop. They will take the order of the person standing at the counter (like a typical Subway...or any restaurant really), then immediately demand for the order of the person behind them, and then the person behind them, etc. The problem is that they do this while the line is not moving, so you're shouting your order over the three+ people between you and the counter. That is if you are aware that they are taking your order. And God forbid you didn't know they were taking your order while you're the fifth person in line and no where near the counter. They will yell over and over and get mad because you didn't realize you were supposed to shout back your order at someone you can't even see. When you're finally at the counter you will experience other customers uncomfortably shouting their orders over your head. You will see the workers sloppily throw together the order of the person who just walked in the door after they are bombarded with "WHAT CAN I GET FOR YOU TODAY?" God forbid you need time to look at the menu. That would shut down the entire assembly line of this place! Service there has been this way for over a year. One could argue that this is efficient. That you get your food quickly. In my experience it is the opposite. It causes chaos and confusion, not to mention a messily thrown together sandwich. If they wish to continue this manner of service I would suggest remodeling the store in order to facilitate their style. Also the parking lot sucks.
