For fast food it's pretty good. They offer some plate meals that are ok. Drive through is fast.

This was my first time trying Jacks. This location was notably clean inside and either new or recently updated, better than the average fast food restaurant. As others have noted, the staff and service are a bit disorganized and I could see them getting backed up quickly when busy. I had a bacon burger which was quite good. I have no complaints about my food at all. Burger cooked well, not super greasy, fresh toppings, fries were good. I would say give them a shot. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is their service could be better. read more

I walked in the restaurant. I waved at the biscuit maker. He never waved back. The restaurant was empty. One employee had their back toward me and was talking to an employee who was facing me. The employee who was facing me never acknowledged me. I stood there for about 2 minutes, then I walked out of the store. I went to the Jack's on Ringgold Road. I work in the East Ridge area, so I usually go to the Jack's on Ringgold Road. The only reason that I was in this Jack's is because I was dropping my wife off for work and this Jack's was nearby. My guy found out about Jack's from a friend. We enjoy their chicken tenders especially with the honey mustard they offer. Jacks is a smaller chain and you can pretty much expect chain expectations. We have almost always had good service when we visit. The interior is nice with a nod to where they are located. Usually cleaner than most fast service chain restaurants. They have good milkshakes too! So if you're looking for a quick food grab on a busy day or on your lunch break, I say give Jack's a try. read more

This is the third time that I have complained!!! The food is great! The ambiance is good. However, the service is absolutely horrible. First of all, I just this minute tried to get in the building and the door is locked! There is no sign on the door . Why? Most always there is no one working that I recognize and rarely does any worker turn around and ask if they can help me. It appears all workers would be happy if the place would just close!!! ordered through DoorDash was missing one burger then they made the second one completely plain, no ketchup or cheese !! had to go down to the store to get it remade and they still messed it up, one burger was plain again with no ketchup or cheese and the second burger had absolutely no cheese or ketchup !! never had problems with them until today. there was cb only one other client in the restaurant and i ordered a BLT and got a cold hamburger with bacon chips and barbecue sauce on it. I finally got a BLT but with one soggy tomato and a few sprigs of lettuce on Texas toast. It was not good. the fries order was hot but skimpy, maybe 12 nubs of fries. Went to drive up was told chicken would take 15 minutes to cook was told to park in space across from drive up window. 45 minutes later we still didn't get our chicken walked inside to find out our chicken was laying on the counter the whole time. Guy at counter didn't apologize just slid bag at me and went back to looking at phone and talking to other worker. My wife called manager to complain and was hung up on. the service was not good at all! we waited at the front counter for several minutes while the GM Joy Camp stood that the window on her phone. After several attempts to get her attention she fine put her phone down. She was not speaking loud when asking for our order. she was very rude when we asked for the side of gravy that we had paid for. she did not want to take it back to have it fix. read more

We have been to this location twice and it was a nightmare both times. The first visit: not one single clean table (with six or seven employees in the kitchen and no customers inside at all); no one greeted us; the lady's room smelled like kids' camp latrine, with not one clean stall (you don't even want to know how filthy it was...); the floor was covered in crumbs and napkins; the trash was overflowing; there was a pile of used paper towels next to a bottle of industrial cleaner just sitting out on the drink station; I could go on... The next visit was almost as bad, with added terrible customer service (the first visit had no customer service). We go to jacks at least once a week for breakfast. Which is very yummy. We decided to order from the drive through and take some food home. So I ordered a 3 piece chicken strip meal with 2 sides of mashed potatoes and no biscuit. The chicken was great. Very crispy, slightly peppery and juicy. The order of mashed potatoes were very inconsistent. One order was silky smooth and very fresh. The second order tasted liked old instant mashed potatoes that had been under the warmer way to long. They were creamy except for the several dry lumps that tasted weird. Also they gave me a biscuit. Nothing wrong with the biscuit, I just didn't want one and don't like wasting food. Lazy, Rude, tried to charge me double for a single meal then said it was my fault they almost double charged me. Asked for extra sauce, gave me one sauce container without extra and the only one I got had barely enough sauce to even cover the bottom of the container. I've worked fast food and 2-3 cars in your drive thru every 30 minutes is easy and not stressful at all. If the workers are so unhappy with a job as east as ringing someone up every 5-10 minutes maybe they shouldn't be there. We went to Jack's today. Ordered 4 plain hamburgers (for the furbabies) and 4 regular hamburgers. Got 5 plain and 3 regular. Went back and spoke with a male. Explained the problem, he said give me a plain back and made it a regular. Since when does a hamburger not come with lettuce and tomato? They were not busy so no excuse for messing up the order. Been eating here since it opened several months ago. Also order DoorDash all the time from them. The people are nice and I've never had my food prepared wrong. Can get a little backed up around busy times and is in sort of a tough spot to get into depending what direction you're driving from. Their chicken, burgers, pies and sides are all good. We have been going in this jacks since open. We stop by on Saturday to get breakfast August 14, 2021 And as we walk up to the door it look like it had t been clean In Days. That a big concern with this virus. Then we go ahead and proceed in to order and stood and observed the employees. Absolutely hands down the worst breakfast. Not only will your order be wrong, the food will be cold and soggy. And, good luck substituting something in your meal. Instead, you will get a glob of grits floating in a heaping pool of butter that looks and has texture like it has been floating in an overflow reservoir. The food is okay, but the staff at night is very poorly managed. There were five employees on shift and I watched five cars leave the drive thru line as four employees closed and one girl on the headset ran everything. She was clearly upset, and got no help from her team. I was the only person in that line who didn't leave, because my wife is pregnant, and it wouldn't have been worth it to come home with nothing. I worked in restaurants for ten plus years and what I witnessed was egregious. Also, even though the girl was upset, and I'm willing to give her a pass, she was rude and very poor at communicating she was there when I drove up to the speaker and whether she planned to take my order. We have visited this restaurant four times. We have always had great service. The staff is always very nice. We always go about the same time of day and there is usually about the same number of customers in the restaurant. The first two times the food was great. The third time I got the chicken fried chicken. It was a good size piece of chicken and was cooked well. But either the chicken or the white gravy was so salty I couldn't eat it. Tonight my husband got a chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy. He said it was too salty plus the chicken breast was old, had been cooked too long. I was looking for something a little different to take home for the family dinner. Jack's #310 on Dayton Blvd., in Red Bank, was fairly new in town and I had never eaten there so I gave them a try and gave them order #41. That was a bad move. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews first, but I didn't. That was my mistake, but live and learn I guess. I ordered the bone in chicken Big Box at the drive thru that is advertised on all the signs outside the store for $20.99. When I was told the total price to pay at the window it did not add up. It was $1.10 more than I calculated the cost should be. I questioned the price but was told it was right. At the window I looked at my receipt and saw I was charged $21.99 before taxes for my $20.99 Big Box I ordered. I asked the manager about it and expected a price adjustment. Instead I was told they had had a recent price increase and that the computer was right. I asked him if he could not see anything wrong with advertising a lower price then charging customers more, like false advertising and bait and switch on the pricing. All I got out of him was the computer is right. I was going to hand the food back and ask for a refund but my family was waiting on me to bring home dinner and I was already late so I took the food and drove off. That was my second bad move. At home we found the side portions to be very small. The green beans were very very bland. The heavy chicken coating very salty, and not crispy but hard like it has been on the warmer for hours. The breast meat was very dry, tough, stringy and hard to chew like it came from an old rooster. There was more meat on the wings than the drum sticks which all were mostly breading. None of the family wanted a second piece of chicken with their meal. I tried to feed what was left to my cats. They sniffed it and walked off. They have never walked away from chicken before! The only redeeming things about the meal was I am allergic to garlic and the clerk did not lie to me when I asked if the bone in chicken was free of garlic seasoning. They actually checked the ingredient label. The biscuits were moist inside and crispy on the outside like they should be, and the slaw was tasty, not overly sweet and not saturated in watery mayonnaise. In summary, because of the bad tasting chicken and beans, false advertising on the price, and no attempt of accommodation from the manager, my advice is to stay away. There are much better places in town to buy good fried chicken with tasty sides with managers that appreciate your business. read more

me and my girlfriend came by tonight with only $3. i asked what their cheapest item was expecting to share with her, and the guy said their $1.69 cheeseburgers. I had the change so i asked for 2 and when i got to the window he said he'd be good with just the $3 which was already nice enough. he gave us free fries too, which we really appreciated. this experience made me and my girlfriend want to cry. the humanity in these workers is absolutely amazing. much respect. if i could give 20 stars i would. will be coming by a lot more often with more money:) read more
