I'm soooo glad I FINALLY got to try the ice cream here! It's been bookmarked for a long time. Jack's Shack uses ice cream from Yoder's, which is one of the best ice creams in the area! They have a lot of good flavors. I had the Triple Peanut Butter ice cream w/ crushed Oreos on top. My mom had the Mudslide ice cream w/ pecans on top. Both were incredibly good. This place is super cute inside too. They have 4 or 5 tables, and some stools near the front. There was only one person working, but he did a good job getting everyone's order & making everything in fairly good time. I also wasn't in a hurry though. I noticed they had a few take out orders, which is a good idea if you're in a hurry. I will definitely be back to try the other flavors. read more

I just came in and ordered 2 rolled ice creams one cookies and dream and the other one was a seaside brownie, I read the reviews and was really surprised about how wrong they are I was expecting it to not be very good but it was amazing and I'm definitely coming back soon because this was amazing!!! Great little ice cream parlor! Lot of choices from varied ice cream flavors ( yum the black cherry was awesome!) shakes, rolled ice cream in a cup -- maybe new fave. This rolled ice cream is clearly a skill. They take ice cream, place it on a super cold plate which is likely powered to freeze, spread it out real thin, then use something similiar to a paint scraper or 1 1/2" putty knife and slowly push the ice cream fwd on a freezing plate causing it to roll. They continue to the other side of a the plate making 1 roll. They repeat the process stacking them side by side in a cup till its full and put on toppings to complete the creation. Its really Yum! went for our first time. poor service and out of three selections I ordered. then was told it would be 15 to 20 minutes if I ordered rolls. then the girl stated just look in our case before you ask for something and you will see what we are out of. strange for an ice cream shop to be out of three different ice creams. never going to this location again. read more

Horrible 1st experience. Very disappointing after reading good reviews. Went there on 5/23 with my son and grandson. There was only one person working and orders were backed up. We should have been told there was a long wait before giving our orders. Then we would have had the option of leaving. A/C was not cooling enough and 20 minutes into waiting, we were sweating and my 3 year old grandson was having a meltdown. I went to the counter and asked how much longer it would be and was told about 15 minutes. A 35 minute wait was too long. We had to leave because of my grandson. Again, if we had been told upfront of the situation we wouldn't have ordered anything. I wasn't offered a refund and basically forfeited over $14. We will not return. read more

My husband and I shared the banana split, we had to eat it so fast because it was melting so quickly ? We been dying to try this place out! But we get busy with work! So we went last Saturday night, no one was in there but us, and 1 other couple. Either they need to turn the AC on high.. or check the machine temperature? Most likely won't return. read more

Wow, so good. Loved the idea of "rolled" icecream. If you've not had it, it is unique enough to check out just for that. My oreo cookies and cream rolled icecream was delicious! I'm frequently disappointed with some cookies and cream because the chunks of oreo are too small. Not the case here with chunks in each bite. Loved that. I got the regular size which was enormous. The Junior size would have worked: $5.99 vs $6.99. Tons of different options and flavors. Nice area to sit inside but also could get to-go. Fast, friendly service. Interesting to watch the creations. The store is always clean, the prep area is spotless and visible as you watch them prepare your treats, and quality of the products here are top notch. My favorite is the Strawberry Sunday. The frozen yogurt has a smooth texture and creamy flavor which tastes particularly great in their waffle cones. Wowza! Jack's Shack was closed for a few weeks for renovations. Although I suffered from withdrawals it was worth the wait! The new look is more open and spacious. All the same flavors and more! We were greeted and served by the owner, who is very friendly. Ice Cream - very good. The selections are varied and interesting. Their specialty is rolled ice cream and it comes in a variety of flavors/ingredients. I liked my ice cream, but didn't love it. I ordered a peanut butter cup rolled ice cream. The ice cream was good, but not the high fat content (well at least it didn't taste like it) that I like in an ice cream. The chocolate was the stronger of the flavors, with very little of the peanut butter cup coming through. The portion was substantial and I was satisfied when done. There is a large menu but the staff is accommodating and will make you whatever you'd like. My one kiddo had watermelon flavored Hawaiian shaved ice and even though it was a small, he still needed to finish it at home. My other kiddo had a kid-sized vanilla ice cream with gummy bears. I enjoyed a hot fudge sundae and added cookie dough to it--and not the cookie dough chunks you get at other places, but really cookie dough they chopped up for me. So good. read more

My hubby and I went here for the first time a couple months ago. They have a large selections and we were overwhelmed by picking just one creation. The manager was extremely helpful, patient, and accommodating. My husband ordered something off the menu but created by items on the menu, and the manager was like, Cool, no problem. Me and my wife in 2 sons decided to have some ice cream tonight 8/16. We ordered price wasn't too bad little over 40 bucks the four of us, plus a $10 tip. We sat down. I was about four bites into my banana split when I seen a roach crawling on the floor. I got up to go squash it and I seen another one and then another one. I let the young man and lady behind the counter know that I lost my appetite and I would like a refund. I also showed him the video of the critters, but they told me they didn't have any critters in their store and walked off, so me and my family will not be returning their Ever again. Jack's Shack is the best! I can't stop ordering Key Lime Pie rolled ice cream and my hubs loves the Turtle Tower. The turtle tower is huge! If you want a fudge and peanut treat-this is your go to! I love the key lime because it is a tart smack with the sweet base of sweet cream. The owners are uber friendly and we have watched their business flourish! My wife and I were just at Jack's Shack for a little after-dinner goodness. This place was great. Decor was cute. Fun to watch them make the rolled ice cream. My wife had a 'senior-size' Reese's ice cream. I had a Caribbean Colada yogurt smoothie. Both were delicious. Next time we will probably have it for eat-in.
