We just tried this place 2 weeks ago for the first time and ordered again tonight . First time was eat in . We had the garlic knot sandwich , it was absolutely delicious , only thing I would suggest different for that sandwich is toast or warm the garlic knot . We also split cheese fries they were nice and hot . Our waitress was super sweet . I don't recall her name but very nice . The place wasn't fancy by any means but I mean that in a good way . Went to the bar after golf today and ordered a picture of beer. 25 minutes later had no beer and wondered what was the problem. Then went into the bar directly to if I could order a beer there quicker. Two workers were behind the bar talking and not paying attention to the customers so started to wave my arms to get their attention. Eventually found the bar tender and asked to order a beer. She said are you the one who ordered the pitcher and that it was ready so went back to the table outside so the waitress could deliver the pitcher. Bar tender ends up delivers the pitcher to the table and goes out of her way to call me an ass hole in front of the whole table, then looking at my friend next to me saying you are fine and pointing to me that I am an asshole. As she leaves, she explicitly states she is the MANAGER and that she would appreciate me going somewhere else next time to drink beer after golf. Then patrons sitting at the table next to us said they had the same bad experience the prior week in being chastised by the manager for highlighting slow service complaints. The complaints were not appreciated by the self-identified manager and suggested the customer was the problem for pointing this out. It would seem that saying sorry for the slow service would be an appropriate response to deescalate the situation instead of alienating your customers and stroking the ego of the manager. I will take the managers suggestion and not return after golf in the future! read more

We had our son's graduation party at Jack's and it was a great experience. The staff were personable and professional and our guests really enjoyed them. The food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

One of the waitresses -- I believe her name started with an "M" -- shouted in an older gentleman's face after he asked for an update on his food, which he had been waiting over an hour and a half for. She stood about a foot away from him, yelling that the kitchen was backed up, that she could take him back for a tour, and that she didn't know how many times she needed to explain this to people. Regardless of how delayed the service is, there is never an excuse to treat a customer this way. It was completely unprofessional and upsetting to witness. read more

Omg!!!! This place is a hidden gem, nestled on a golf course!!!! We were meant to end up here. My fiancée and I drove to Salad Works because we were craving a salad and Allentown had the only location that closes at 9:00. We got there at 7:30 and of course, they closed early. After a 60 hour work week that just ended, I had enough and we searched for closest place to grab food. Jack's Slice popped up. We had our dogs with us, so we were just going make our order pick up and head back to Phillipsburg. We noticed they had an outdoor patio and asked if we were permitted to have our dogs with us out there. They said yes, so we decided to eat in. It was the best ending to our hectic work week. The view from patio is bliss, the staff is awesome, the vibe is awesome and the food is A-One!!!!! And very inexpensive. I opted for the Garlic Knot grilled Chicken Caprese Sandwich. The bun is a giant garlic knot and it was out of this world. Jack's Slice is highly recommended and is dog friendly as well. They made sure our babies had water the whole time. Came to this spot to give it a chance, but unfortunately it just didn't happen for us. The chicken parm was on the bland side. The wings were mediocre and small. The slices were unmemorable. We asked for extra cheese and it didn't look like there was extra cheese on the pizza. Got the order wrong for the pizza slice which the waitress fixed. The other pizza had a piece of hair on it. Ugh, I really wanted to give this place a chance. Maybe it was just a bad day. The waitress was so nice about it and apologized for the hair. I get it this things can happen, but it piled up. Used to love it here but its going downhill. My food has been correct probably the last 5 times. i ordered a chicken sandwich and instead of the normal chicken, i was given chicken that had a bunch of seasoning on it that was probably used for a taco or fajita i think they are taking short cuts by using meat from other orders. The positive there is probably the bartenders, they are very nice. the Waitresses are not seasoned enough, even the ones that have been there for years. The reason i think alot of mistakes are being made with food is because the staff, (waitresses, and cooks) do not know the menu and its quite obvious. Lastly, other issue is food gets brought out at all different times. we had our basket of french fries brought out about a half hour before everything else. who wants to eat a whole basket of fries when the food isnt even there? then my husbands meal came out, then our kids about about 15 mins later, then mine about 10 mins after that. why cant everything be timed to be brought out together like other restaraunts? i was actually annoyed and didnt even want to eat by the time my food came out. read more

This pizza from Jack's was phenomenal! It reflected true New York style pizza. I'm not from around here, but I when asked several locals "what pizza is the best pizza around", sadly no one had heard of Jack's. It's probably because it's located at a golf course and quite secluded from other restaurants. We ordered a large pizza with extra cheese. Being from the northeast and as a good judge of pizza quality, it was fantastic! The place was very busy but service was excellent with minimal wait. I encountered the most rude couple (customers) and 2 bar employees...all over the fact that I asked to sit at a bar stool and eat(it had not been occupied for a half hour) but because the customers "had been there since 3pm I would need to move when he returned " I agreed. Well, the rest that proceeded was not human kind. I was told by everyone involved "we are family here" My suggestion if you're not considerd family do not go. Frankly one of the worst places I've been in a while. The waitress was good, did her best to manage the workflow. When a belligerent drunk guy started to make a scene, her customer service was great, aligned with the customer well to ensure that he knew she was trying to help him... but only as the manager stood by doing nothing to support her even as he escalated. (Not to mention, why wasn't he cut off as he was visibly drunk when we arrived.) Additionally, the food was some of the worst food I've ever eaten. Jack slice has always been one of my family's favorite restaurants, but my pick up tonight was very disappointing. We did an online/pickup order because we were on our way home from vacation. I double checked the bag before leaving to make sure everything was in there, which some things were missing but that's not a big deal at all (I went in and they got me the missing items). Got home to eat and opened my meal.. I ordered a chicken cheese steak with sauce (and paid for extra cheese and pickles) and I got slightly burnt chicken with a very little amount of cheese, no sauce, no extra cheese, and no pickles. Plus the side of fries had maybe 10 fries in it? I typically would not care but when you are dishing out $50+ for a meal, it is slightly upsetting. read more

Observation while waiting for my pickup. A pizza pie was set right next to a cleaning bucket onThe counter outside of the kitchen. Witnessed kitchen staff drop a plate on the floor, picked it up and proceeded to prepare food without changing his gloves. 99% of the patrons did not wear a mask. Half of the staff didn't have a mask or it was worn below their nose. Sign on the door said you must have mask to enter. Waited a long time to pick up my order. Pizza was ok. Not bad, but not great. Heard good things so we wanted to give this place a try. We ordered a pepperoni pizza which took forever to come out. Once it came out, to my surprise the pizza wasn't even scorching as I expected it was rather cool and dry. This pizza reminded me of pizza that's been sitting out for 17 hrs. It was tasted terrible. I've never in my life had worse pizza. I'm insulted the way the pizza was served. The server apologized and agreed the pizza didn't look right. She had an odd explanation that I couldn't follow but I asked her if she happened to glance at it once on the way to our table. I am willing to try the original Jacks a try. I haven't been in this location since it was Brew Works on the green. The first thing that is different is that they removed half their seating and replaced with a bigger bar. i guess they are trying to be more of a bar business and not a restaurant. By eliminating seating they are eliminating a higher profitable square foot to seating capacity. Well I was here for food. The Pizza... Pretty bad. For a place called Jacks Slice you would think the pizza would be exceptional. It was terrible. The wings though we're a nice size and good. Some strange shapes... But good. The right side of the bar (the old bar section) looked unkept and things were just strewn about. Our group's entire intent on coming here Wednesday was for the chicken wing special, so we were not pleased! After some good feedback from various patrons, I stopped for lunch on a frigid winter afternoon for lunch, and found a welcoming place with down to earth service. Updated since its last stewardship as a Fegley Brewerks outpost, I liked the expanded bar and menu of comfort food. Well priced. Generous portions. Hoping they'll serve breakfast on the outdoor patio when weather warms up, overlooking the putting green. I will return. Only reason for the 3 stars was there was nothing really memorable about the space, prices, menu: it was just a solid place for a burger. I had a Chicken Caesar salad, which was fine - but not memorable. They have an opportunity to ramp it up, as the setting warrants it - but the hurdle in the Lehigh Valley is low, so it is likely to remain a middle of the road establishment. read more

Had dinner here tonight. Salad was good. Meatball parm not the same as it was when I got it two weeks ago. Took forever to get a drink or for anyone to acknowledge us. Then a nice server came to the rescue for the server that was definitely training and clearly overwhelmed. I get the .....I'm new here and help is hard to find these days. I was fine and patient due to understanding the challenge with finding employees these days. We ordered. Food came out slow. We ate and the service was extremely slow. Ok I understand the server was new and like I said I was extremely patient by this point. I order a chick parm with extra sauce on side to go for my son. I even repeated the order to the server so she could confirm what I ordered. We get home and the fries are burned through styrofoam take out container.The chicken parmigiana sammich has now miraculously turned into a meatball parmigiana sammich in front of my eyes. The whole reason I went to Jacks tonight is to bring home a chicken parm for my son. I like it there but tonight was not an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, I will be taking a break from Jacks for now.
