You wouldn't think it, but this neighborhood gem has great food and real friendliness. It's part of the Allentown Municipal Golf Course, but even off season, the place is filled most nights. Best chicken wings in town...huge! Great cheesesteaks and burgers, but also good pasta and entrees. Their white pizza is perfect. We were subjected to some awful treatment by the owner and manager of this restaurant during a fundraiser golf outing. After a miscommunication situation between employees of their restaurant, we asked for them to supply beverages to us for 80 golfers after there was already a discussion about this being planned and were called "*&(&* Democrats who want everything for nothing" and were sworn at and told "we would be doing them a favor if we never held a golf tournament there again". They are not open for business at 6 am as their website states. Only at 10:00 am did we start seeing any sign of any restaurant employees. I would not recommend this place of business to anyone! read more

Had maybe the worst pizza you could ever dream of here. I know its hard to imagine a pizza so bad but just try. We couldn't get one slice down. The server was nice enough and took it off the bill but it never should have left the kitchen like that. If I heard her correctly, I feel like she said the dishwasher made it. The owner made us another one even though we told her the pizza would give us nightmares. The new one looked better but I was too traumatized to try it, so we have it away. Only reason it gets two stars is because she was nice, I enjoyed my mozzarella sticks and everyone else st the table didn't complain much about what they ordered. Although my friend went into great detail about what he wanted on his sub, it never came out. I heard the pizza at the original jacks is better. Why? I have only had the pizza here and a couple of beers, but I thought they deserved a review. The waitress/servers are so nice. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a couple drinks and our server was so nice and genuine. For all the drinkers out there you know this isn't normally the case when your taking up a table and just having drinks. She was very attentive and most times coming out and seeing if we needed another, right about the time we had one more sip remaining. A+ to Jack's for friendly staff. What can I say... this place is amazing! It is not only my favorite spot to watch the game, grab dinner with the family or drinks with friends, BUT I also hosted my sisters 40th birthday party here and everything, in every situation has always been amazing! Awesome pizza and Food! We get take out from here all the time. But also we love watching football games and sitting indoors at either the bar or the tables. Since the beginning of Jack's opening a few years ago, The staff is always super nice and friendly. The wings are big! Probably the best in Allentown. Also love sitting outside on a nice evening with the golf course views and we've also done bands recently on Friday night which has been really fun. Golfed at Allentown Muni this past Sunday and decided to try Jack's. That won't happen again. We had a difficult time getting a menu in spite of several requests. We placed our drink orders and while waiting for them we watched in horror as one of the young waitresses kept playing with her hair (which was not tied back) and waving it all over the area where food was being prepared and placed for pickup. We were considering leaving but our drink order arrived and we were fortunate not to have this young lady who had her hands in her hair and then serving food waiting on our table. Pizza was average, soup very bland. We watched in amazement as the young waitress continued to play with her hair around the grill area and was also munching food while watching food being prepared on the grill. No thanks. Too many other places in the area to eat at. Please, teach your wait staff how to act and what not to do while serving food. read more

Great food, attentive service, wonderful place to hang out! Jack's Slice is a great place for all ages - kids run around on the grass (not the green!) and adults can sip on some well crafted drinks. First time here, great food although it did take a little time to come out. All hot and very fresh. The view even when sitting inside is great! Only one server and she was wonderful, she seemed genuinely glad to serve us and cared about how we were doing. Wednesday is wing night and we got 10 of the biggest wings I've seen only for $5. Came in for our first time the other night with the family and had a pleasant experience! The service provided was excellent. I just want to state, this is only a review of the pizza. It's not good. I moved here from Long Island two months ago and I'm still trying to find a good pizza place. I don't understand what the problem is. Don't tell me it's the water. It seems that people don't know what they're doing as far as sauce is concerned. The only reason I give it two instead of one stars is because of the pizza I had at Wegmans. That pizza was as if they never had it before, saw a picture of it, and tried to duplicate it. I guess this is a little bit better. I had my wife take a bite and she said Ellios was better (I've had Ellios in the freezer from about after moving here after not being able to find anything. Before that it's probably been fifteen years since I had it). Anyway, besides the pizza, and I was only in there long enough to wait for my slices, everybody seemed friendly enough, there were people at table eating, and there were plenty of TV sets around the place with sports on. I may end up there on a Sunday afternoon (sign says they have every game) for football and $2 Lite pints, but I'm definitely not getting the pizza. read more
