Absolutely horrible experience during my last order with this company. Order was placed on 8/28. I continuously checked the order status and as of Friday 9/11 their website showed 'on order from vendor, expected 9/13' After no update still on 9/14 I reached out again to receive a reply back that they reached out to the vendor about availability and now 3 weeks later found out that the parts I have been waiting for are discontinued by the manufacturer and they have no alternatives which is a bold faced lie seeing as I just ordered BOTH parts DIRECT from the manufacturer Briggs & Stratton store with NO ISSUE! Jack's small engine was useless during this process, sending out generic auto emails every 2 or 3 weeks saying (out of stock items usually takes 10 days please check back for more info). I was going round and round on the site and couldn't figure out how to find what I needed, so I called the hotline and got the amazing and wonderful Storum. What a true treasure in a representative to Jack's! Storum was patient and friendly, kind, and super helpful! Seriously, whatever you're paying her, it's not enough...I'm thinking raises and bonuses here, plus an extra week of vacation. (use the vacation as a bargaining tool, Storum!) Storum got on the line, helped me navigate to the page showing the part I needed for my no-longer-in production generator, took my payment info right away and assured me it was shipping out today...how cool is that? Apparently, I've been a customer here in the past, so Storum had all my information readily available and we were in business so fast I want to call back and do it again. I took my toro lawn mower the these people because it would not stay running long after pulling the cord to start it. I thought going to the professionals would be the best thing for the mower since it was only 5 yrs old. I was told by these people that they can fix it in two weeks, well it's been 1yr and two phone calls to them and now my mower will not allow me to pull the cord to start it, so the quality of service is crappy and they sabotage my mower to the point where I can't pull the cord. Where I went wrong is I should've checked reviews first. Lesson learned. Also these people offered to sell me one of their brand mower for $55 less, which was the cost to do the diagnostic of my toro. I would never purchase anything from them and I shouldn't have requested service from them especially when the guy sitting behind the desk didn't even greet me, that was a red flag that I ignored, not again. One more thing, their excuse to me was "it slipped through the cracks", I can understand that, but I called twice, that I can't understand. That was my first and last time going there. My zero-turn mower was running rough, so I took it to Jack's on 6/11/24. Their shop was full of mowers and other small equipment, and I could tell they were SWAMPED! I asked them about turnaround time, and they told me a couple of weeks. Fast forward about a week, so I thought I would check-in to see if they had a chance to check out my mower. They hadn't gotten to it yet and I explained that I was on vacation this week, then would be out of town on business all next week, and to please call me when they get around to it. Much to my pleasant surprise, they called me 2 days later, letting me know my mower was read for pick-up and a cost WAY less than I expected. When I went to pick up the mower, it was not only running like a champion, but Jack's crew washed the mower to a level it hasn't seen in years! This, my friends, is QUALITY service. Don't expect your order to be delivered in less than 2 weeks on in stock merchandise I ordered 3 parts on 12-3-2024 & got 1 of 3 delivered on 12-21-24 with no notification of the other 2 missing. Tried calling at 3pm EST and got a recording saying they are currently closed when website said open until 6. The only reason I went through them were for the 2 parts they we tell me are not available so i paid $44.90 for a part i could have bought on Amazon for under $20. They changed me 9.95 in shipping. Consistently negative experiences. Recently moved to the area with a Gravely mower. Jack's is the closest dealer but not worth the 30 minute drive each way. Needed blades so purchased from Jack's. Installed then noiticed two-2" wide strips that weren't being cut on each run. Turns out they had sold me blades for a slightly smaller Gravely Zero Turn. Failure by parts people. Next, mower needed repair after cutting ten percent of my 3 acres. Called around to see who could fix my mower quickly. Jack's said 2 days so even though further away then some other options, I went to Jack's. A week later I was still waiting because if you don't purchase your mower from them, you're a second class customer and go behind all the customers who purchased their equipment from them but they don't tell you that up front. Lastly, when I went to pick up my mower, I was informed I might not be responsible for the $338 bill as it might be covered under warranty but they would check and call me back however I needed to pay now. Yup - you guessed it...never heard from Jack's again. I like to give 5 stars to businesses that deserve it but Jack's has earned the one star. read more

Jack's admittedly failed to acknowledge that they had no part in their inventory, but also that they were not aware whether the part would ever arrive from their sole supplier. Instead of being proactive and contacting their supplier (Dewalt), they assumed they could sit on my order indefinitely without any contact with me regarding the extended timeline. I received an email promising 2-10 days shipping, but was still waiting 30 days later for any action. Several disappointing calls later, when several of Jack's employees were unprofessional, and some would hang up the phone rather than address a customer service issue, I received a call from the operations manager (Herb). After telling Herb about my experience with his business, he acknowledged that this was precisely how they conduct themselves. He was at a loss for words and had no idea how he could remedy the situation. I gave him several options, yet he stated that he would continue operating his business with the same poor professionalism and lack of customer service that had been working for him to this point.
