When I entered the store the guy working there immediately became suspicious and quickly walked toward the entrance of the store and squinted at me. My girlfriend was near the rear of the store and I walked over to where she was. The guy again quickly followed me to where both my gf and I were standing. I looked at him sort grinned a little, like...ummm yes? He offered no greeting and didn't smile once. My gf went over to the jars of pipe tobacco near the front and I stayed at the back of the store looking at zippos, as I wanted a new one. She picked up one of the jars and took off the top to smell the tobacco. He quickly said "no no no, you cannot" and she said "well how am I gonna know if I want to buy the tobacco if I can't smell it?" He said something to the effect of "I can't have everyone picking up and smelling the tobaccos". I laughed and my gf said "fine, we'll go spend our money somewhere else." I told him that was a shitty way to treat customers and told him that we would be sure to let other people know how incredibly rude he was. There you have it. That guy was a complete dick.

I purchased a Puffco Hot Knife from this shop earlier today and immediately realized it was…read moredefective -- it never powered on or worked at all. I came back within two hours of purchase with the product still unused, and the employee was hesitant to believe me. He called his boss, who claimed he had "never heard of issues with Puffco products." After a quick Google search, I found that this is actually a very common problem with the Hot Knife, and Puffco even acknowledges it under their warranty policy. The shop reluctantly exchanged it for a new one, and at the owner's request, the employee opened the replacement in front of me. It also didn't work straight out of the box. The boss then suggested we "charge it for a while," so I waited about 10 minutes in the store -- still nothing. I took it home and charged it for over an hour, and it's doing the exact same thing: blinking light, won't power on. I called back to let them know, and was told to "take it up with Puffco" myself. That's unacceptable. As a distributor of Puffco products, they should stand behind what they sell and ensure they're providing working merchandise -- not push the problem onto the customer. Now I'm out $55 and stuck with a defective product. Avoid this shop unless you want to gamble on faulty merchandise and zero accountability.

I am a middle-aged suburban white guy (no offense, just want to make it clear this wasn't racial profiling). She didn't know jack about the products they sell plus there was a slight language barrier. The whole vibe was just: buy something without knowing what you're buying and get out. Do they know dispensaries exist within a 3-mile radius that sell these products in a non-janky atmosphere? I want to support local businesses and was mildly pleased when this place opened, thinking I could buy the occasional vape pen every few months. It's shocking that people like this can operate a solvent business. They will learn the hard way that literally the only reason anyone would patronize a brick-and-mortar business in 2022 is customer service. They even have an "ALL SALES FINAL" sign. Get real folks.
