Electric doctor called the day before the installation date and stated that the parts were still in Chicago. Mind you I booked this way in advance and they cashed my check deposit. So no one called me for a follow up so I called back and told exact words it's not their fault they can t control shipping. Mind you I was a little upset and stated well if you had good customer service you would go pickup the parts as they are only in Chicago. I was then told I was being rude...wait this gets better. My husband calls today September 22nd as they did not have the courtesy to give us an update and wait for it...now they tell us the parts are in Canada after my husband was going to drive and pickup the parts in Chicago. I understand shipping but I booked in advance as I wanted my husband home and I took an extra day off from work and still no date of when the installation will take place and no apologies. They act like I am being difficult. In summary great service up front but follow up is horrible. Very rude and disrespectful office staff one in particular. Contacting the BBB.

I had been a customer of Electric Doctor for several years. That all came to a screeching halt a…read morefew weeks ago. I called to obtain service on my generator, which wouldn't start. The sub-contracted 'technician' (and I use that term loosely) came out and replaced the battery...in the rain. All of the panels/switches became wet and again, the generator wouldn't turn over or set the exercise time. He was unable to get the generator to start again but spent almost an entire hour hitting the starter button and draining the new battery he had just installed. He eventually threw up his hands and said that "I can't figure it out". He told me that I would be contacted by a technician...we'll call him Jeff, within the week. The week passed and no call. I called the receptionist/Praetorian, who told me Jeff had been in Wisconsin but would call me the following week. The week went by and no call. I contacted the receptionist/Praetorian again, the following week. This time she scolded me for "circumventing the system". To this day I still don't even know what that means. I wasn't happy and let her know I wasn't happy. She then hung up the phone. Haven't heard a peep since. Most of you may think this is a terrible example of customer service and you'd be correct. However, there is a silver lining to this story. Instead of nickel and diming' myself into oblivion with their shoddy service, I obtained an entirely new unit that was not purchased, installed or serviced by The Electric Doctor. I have the ultimate satisfaction of never seeing them set foot on my property again. Sure, I squandered 300+ dollars on an inept technician but look at all of the money I'm saving you. You can choose to use this establishment if you wish but there are plenty of options here in Davenport. You'd be silly not to use these options. If you ignore my advice and use ED...you're just setting yourself up for failure.

He determined that it would be expensive to fix the air conditioner function of the unit. I asked him what a new unit would cost. I wish that I would have decided to have the unit repaired instead. I paid $2900 for a PTAC unit that retailed under $1000. So I paid $1800 just to have the old unit taken out and the new one installed into the existing cutout and existing sleeve and grill. Then all they had to do was plug in the new unit into the existing outlet, test and calibrate the unit, and then they were done! I could have purchased the PTAC myself, swapped it with the same model, and saved myself $1800! The technicians that came were polite, courteous and very efficient. I realize that the price was all inclusive. But that is the price that would involve cutting a hole through the wall, installing a sleeve and panel, and putting in an electric plug to power the unit. Unfortunately, I didn't question the price since they don't provide itemized estimates. So I'm just going to have to suck it up. I do have to say that I feel that I was "taken to the cleaner"....

Quick , efficient, and very knowledgeable. Great Job!…read more I definitely recommend this company .

Normally I don't even say anything about businesses that I had poor service with but this is…read moreridiculous and dont want anyone to go through this too. I highly DONT recommend using Areguin Heating and Cooling. We called and asked for a QUOTE. When they showed up a few days later (which we were understanding about the wait with it being summer and lots of units needing work) it was 2 guys. They called my husband Cory saying they were 10-15 minutes away, Cory went outside to wait for them, but then they ended up sitting in their truck for another 10 minutes and got out laughing. One was an older guy who didn't speak any English at all and a younger guy who hardly spoke English. Which wouldn't be much of an issue either but it gets worse. Cory took the younger guy down to the basement to check out the furnace, the kid couldn't even figure out how to get the lid off of it and kept tapping it. So then Cory took the lid off and showed him that the filter was brand new and then Cory put it back and put the lid back on. Then they go outside to the unit. The two guys talk to each other (just talking and laughing in Spanish not communicating with Cory at all) and went to their truck, got a part, and started working on our unit. When Cory asked what they were replacing and what it was going to cost (again, no quote was given and we weren't even told what they were doing before they started working on it.) the kid told Cory that they don't do numbers and then kept tapping his head saying "English is hard" and finally said it was a capacitor and said the one that was in our unit was a 5.0 and literally said they replaced it with a 7.5 because it would do better at cooling our house off. Then they literally just left. Didn't check to make sure anything worked or anything. Just left. After they left we turned our unit back on, and the fan was going the wrong way and the unit was making weird noises that it never made before. After an hour we realized the temperature in our house was just rising. Cory went to check on the unit and it was extremely loud and the fan was spinning weird and slow. Then Cory came back in and checked the thermostat and it was blinking at him. So he turned the central air off using the thermostat. Then when he went to turn it back on, it wouldnt turn on. So Cory went down to the basement to check the breaker and saw it had blown and turned it back on just for it to blow again after not even a minute of him messing with it. And it just kept blowing every time he tried to turn it on so we left it off and called. Cory called a total of 10 times. Called twice the day of, July 10th, and then called right away at 8am when they opened and it took him called 4 times in a row to get an answer. So he told the lady on the phone everything and she said the owner was out in the field working so he would call when he could. Then we figured out the motor was blown in our unit. So Cory called again and they literally ignored his calls and sent him straight to voicemail until he called from my phone. Then the lady answered. He asked her if she had gotten ahold of him yet and she said she hadn't tried contacting him yet. So Cory told her that were pretty sure our motor is now blown after they worked on it and that we needed him to call us. She then said she would try again. (After saying she hadn't tried to contact him yet) this was after hours of waiting. Then after a bit Cory text the number saying that if we don't get any kind of response that we will contact the better business bureau and contacting who we need to for the Iowa Homeowner Protective Act. Literally finally got a call back minutes after sending that text from the owner, who then proceeded to tell Cory that they couldn't of caused that and for us to give the younger guy a break because he was 2 weeks new. Like what? We are paying for a service to be done and to be done right. If they don't know what they are doing they shouldn't even be out working! Then tried saying that they would replace our motor for $600something and said we should just get a new unit because ours is old, said it was 2 centuries old. Even though when Cory bought the house, he paid for 3 inspections for the house and they told him it was 5 years old, so now it's only 7 years old, so that's not true. Even the guy who came, not last year but the year before, through the same company, said it was a fairly new unit and was in good shape. So not only are they not admitting to anything they did wrong, the owner never even bothered to come look at the work the other kid did and is just taking the kids word for it on everything. Including the age of our unit. So yeah. Definitely do NOT recommend.
