    Moose in the campground

The previous reviews are not completely off. This place is very over priced for what you get and the spots are tight and they just put some big boulders in to protect the grass but they make the spots even more difficult to get in. But it seems they are trying to improve the park. They are planting new grass seed, trying to even out the gravel, making new signs. The cabins look really nice. The park is quiet and peaceful and there was a moose in our campsite our last night! Basically you stay here if the Virginian is full and you still want to be close to jackson.

We are very disappointed in the campground. It's situated behind "Fireside Resort", a nice lineup of modular, upscale structures. We really enjoyed taking a little tour of them because we're purchasing a tiny home in the future and the plans of the structures were at the top of our list. That's where the "Resort" aspect ended. The campground where we stayed does not by any means have a resort feel. The office does not match the quality caliber of their Fireside Resort structures. The girl who helped us was nice enough but by no means went out of her way to be warm or inviting. When I called ahead to reserve a space she did not offer any information, I had to ask everything I wanted to know about the RV spots. And when we asked for a different location on the lot she failed to tell us it was a 50amp only site. We had already leveled everything and unhitched the truck so we had to dig out our adapter (we thankfully had) in the pouring rain. There are also a few uninhabited rv's sitting in a few spots. It doesn't give off a safe, resort feel. Also, we were told by the female worker that the office would close at 6pm. I walked to the office in the pouring rain at 5pm to purchase a few items and it was already closed. And the most upsetting part of this is that our site was $67 for the off season! Absolutely ridiculous. I wished I would've taken the other reviews more seriously and picked a different location. The two pro's are the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the wifi that reached us even at the back of the lot. If they focused on the RV area as they did the Fireside area, it has some decent potential.

Small quiet park near Teton Village. Nice staff, changed my site without any hesitation. Pricey, but so is everything here.

You'll travel south from Jackson to the Hoback Junction, traffic circle 3/4 turn. Take US 191 12 miles until you reach gravel/dirt Granite Creek Road taking a left. Do not go by the Yelp address listed as it's incorrect, and I haven't been able to find the specific address. Be prepared for an 11 mile bumpy ride while viewing gorgeous Granite Creek running through the Gros Ventura Mountains in the Bridger Teton National Forest. At the end of the road Granite Springs pool awaits you. Check for current pricing before you go, only open in summer (by car) and winter (by snowmobile, skis or dog sled). Also, important to note, you'll have no cell service within this area. Soak your cares away while enjoying the gorgeous Mountain View and the evergreen forest.

Small cars would not be recommended because there are tons large holes. The drive continue on the road and you will dead end into this destination. Walking up to the springs. Looks like a something out of a bad movie. Or the movie Vacation. Kinda scary or weird. Run down with shacks and satellite dishes. Once inside. There is no food or drinks allowed. So don't try it or you will get yelled at. The cost is for 1 hour. So plan on being booted after your hour. There are no towels or enough chairs. So be prepared to sit on the ground. The pool is cracked and run down. But once inside the water it is quite enjoyable. Our family had fun and it was a good experience. I would recommend based on the fact it was a fun time to get to swim in a natural environment. Overlook the pool cracks and moss growing it was worth the drive.

You'll get your own private cabin equipped with a kitchenette that's fully stocked for cooking. It has it's own patio with picnic table and a grill. You also have your own fire pit and parking spot. Inside, it is charmingly decorated with rustic western décor. The bathroom is modern and the bedroom is cozy. I absolutely loved my stay here. Apparently, moose have been known to roam around the property, but I never saw but I am sure they are around during dawn/dusk. There is also a communal hot tub. I just love the privacy. The place was quiet, the office ladies very helpful and polite. We ended up with truck problems and had to bring our truck to the shop for repairs in Jackson. We let the ladies in the office know we were having problems and they were very helpful. The truck wouldn't be finished til late afternoon and Jamie told us we could stay along with our friends way past checkout time with no charge. So they gave us two sites on memorial day weekend with no extra charge. If we end up spending the night we will be paying for another night. But with the stress of everything else it was really nice to not have to worry about this too. We really appreciate Jamie Maline and all others who helped us.

The camp is great though definitely expect rustic accommodations with the exception of the beds, which are (heavenly) real mattresses. The horses and ride were great - very well-mannered horses and a wonderful evening ride through wildflower-filled mountain meadows, creeks, and up and down reasonably challenging terrain. What my daughter (and I) loved most were the people - Sam was a great cook and friendly guide and our other guide Mariah was incredibly patient with my daughter's barrage of questions and let her help put away tack and feed the horses after the ride. A truly memorable Wyoming experience with many great memories.

We even thread the needle towards the end between a couple large rocks. It's worth doing a small 8 person boat. I'd even go in May or June to get more rapids because going at the beginning of August the water flow slows way down losing some of the rapids. They do offer water jackets you can put on under the life vest when you get there. The water was cool but not cold enough to need a wetsuit in August unless you can't handle cool temps. They do offer all that when you Check-in to rent too. If you have young kid, 4th grade or older they let them sit at the head of the boat. They have to be strong enough to hold on going over the rapids.
