I read the reviews and was very nervous about our stay. This is the Grand Tetons. So the sites are pricey but this is a resort town in peak season. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted with a smile and welcome. The gal checking us in asked what she could do to help. She gave us great hiking advise. The sites are nice and treed. They have great pride in their park. The bathrooms are clean and convenient. The lil store has great shirts. I would highly recommend this place for camping. If you can find another cheaper good luck. The price is a bit high but it's convenient to town and everything in the National Park. For us it was worth getting a decent place for our week stay. We had a great stay here-- I was worried given the other reviews, but we had a great stay! We met traveled from the west coast and met up with friends who had traveled from the east coast, so we reserved two spots together. We had a nice patch of grass and fire ring (we were in spots 60 and 61, and the space between was one of the nicer ones), but some of the grassy areas weren't quite as big. The sites were definitely a bit cramped, but no better or worse than most of the bigger RV parks we've stayed at close to busy destinations. The bathrooms were always clean when we used them, and we ran into the cleaners on a few different occasions so they were taking care of things. We were able to recycle, which is great -- not all campgrounds offer that. We were 7-10 minutes outside of Jackson, which was great for us. There's a bike/running path that runs through most of Jackson that's right across the road, and that was nice for a safe place to run in the mornings. It was expensive, but we've found that all things are in Jackson, and we liked the quiet atmosphere here and the proximity to both town and the Tetons. The only thing we wished they had told us was that North Moose Wilson Road is closed to RVs and trailers from a bit north of the campground to the park. We came from Yellowstone, so that was the route that our GPS wanted to take us, and it isn't a possibility with a trailer. We have a little teardrop camper (T@B Little Guy) so we were able to turn around easily to go the long way instead, but our friends with a larger RV had trouble turning around. I feel like that should be something they communicate to you when you are reserving an RV spot. read more

Like a lot of things in Jackson, you don't really get what you pay for at this campground. We stayed at a tent site here during a cross-country camping tour, and paid about twice as much as any other campsite. You don't get internet, or an electric hook-up, or a water faucet at your site. On top of that, you don't even get to drive up to your individual site, as the way the campground are laid out, you have to park, then schlep your stuff over. This isn't such a big deal, but it also means that at night, you'll have to walk through other's campsites to get to the communal water faucet/bathroom/showers, which is a bummer. But I knew all this going in - reservable campsites are hard to come by in the high season, and I guess I can't dock too many stars for the business taking advantage of that. On the plus side, you can't beat the location - 15 minute from the Tetons and 10 from Jackson, maybe an hour to the south entrance of Yellowstone. Pretty close to the Snake River, and there's Elevated Grounds, a great coffee shop, practically across the street. The grounds are pretty enough, and well-kempt. Bottom-line: you'll pay for the location, and you won't get many amenities in return. And not in a "we're in the wilderness" lack of amenities kind of way, in a "this is what you get for being too cheap to pay for a hotel room" kind of way. read more

The previous reviews are not completely off. This place is very over priced for what you get and the spots are tight and they just put some big boulders in to protect the grass but they make the spots even more difficult to get in. But it seems they are trying to improve the park. They are planting new grass seed, trying to even out the gravel, making new signs. The cabins look really nice. The park is quiet and peaceful and there was a moose in our campsite our last night! Basically you stay here if the Virginian is full and you still want to be close to jackson. read more

My only negative about this location is the price @150 per night, for a camp site. At best, maybe $75 a night at the absolute most! The staff was excellent and customer focused! The sites were flat and spaced adequately. The park was laid out nicely and they had clean bathrooms and laundry room. Two RV's entering the grounds at the same time, coming and going would be a problem(narrow lane). The main attraction for this location are definitely the rustic cabins. If the prices were reduced for the campsites I might consider camping here again. read more

The staff was nice and helpful. I gave this 3 stars because the spaces are way too small. We had to move our RV back as far as we could so the slide out wouldn't be over the fire pit of the space next to us. We barely had enough room to open our awning without touching the RV on the right side. The grass on our lot was about 6 inches tall and full of toadstools. It's obvious the campground is designed to pack as many campers in as possible. The restrooms and laundry were clean and well maintained. read more

We came to the campground very late and it was about to rain, we did the check-in in 10 seconds and headed to our test site. Unlike other reviews, we did parked by our site, we did get wi-fi and the web site specifically said there are no individual water faucets. The showers were great, the campground very quiet and next to a stream. We had a great time and slept like babies :-). read more

We are very disappointed in the campground. It's situated behind "Fireside Resort", a nice lineup of modular, upscale structures. We really enjoyed taking a little tour of them because we're purchasing a tiny home in the future and the plans of the structures were at the top of our list. That's where the "Resort" aspect ended. The campground where we stayed does not by any means have a resort feel. The office does not match the quality caliber of their Fireside Resort structures. The girl who helped us was nice enough but by no means went out of her way to be warm or inviting. When I called ahead to reserve a space she did not offer any information, I had to ask everything I wanted to know about the RV spots. And when we asked for a different location on the lot she failed to tell us it was a 50amp only site. We had already leveled everything and unhitched the truck so we had to dig out our adapter (we thankfully had) in the pouring rain. There are also a few uninhabited rv's sitting in a few spots. It doesn't give off a safe, resort feel. Also, we were told by the female worker that the office would close at 6pm. I walked to the office in the pouring rain at 5pm to purchase a few items and it was already closed. And the most upsetting part of this is that our site was $67 for the off season! Absolutely ridiculous. I wished I would've taken the other reviews more seriously and picked a different location. The two pro's are the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the wifi that reached us even at the back of the lot. If they focused on the RV area as they did the Fireside area, it has some decent potential. read more

The cabins might be nice, but the campground is horrible. The "Jackson Hole Campground" and recently changed the name to Fireside Resort We were totally misled about being upscale and being a RESORT. It is a very old campground, poorly maintained, and a mosquito infested nightmare. The sites are totally covered with small mounds and depressions as if horses were kept here, and my wife twisted her ankle in the grass. The staff is not interested in hearing about our concerns and continued to babble about how the facility is upscale. The electric hookups are questionable as we were having problems with the breaker switch. At best, this place is worth $40 per night and they are charging $125. BEWARE! BTW they will not take a deposit, but instead, demand payment in full when the reservation is made, and is NOT refundable. That should have been my first red flag to run. read more

I am only giving this a two because of the view. Although that should be 5. But the price to stay here is ludicrous. We have had better accommodations and better prices even in town in Jackson. The price to camp here is a price that should be reflected in what we get. Which we don't get much. Wifi is terrible too. Don't waste money. Please.!! read more

Small quiet park near Teton Village. Nice staff, changed my site without any hesitation. Pricey, but so is everything here.

If this campground had lower prices and larger spots I would have given it a higher rating. We paid $80 a night in mid October. The campground itself is really pretty. You can see the Tetons and surrounding mountains. All the trees were yellow which made a pretty effect. Our spot was so tiny that when the neighbor pulled in and opened their slide out it took over our whole hang out area. We could barely sit on the picnic table. The showers were also pretty gross. The showers had build up and had not been cleaned in months. While there were two shower stalls you could only use one shower at a time because one shower did not get hot water. I also want to mention that I did not appreciate one of the maintenance guys whistling at me while walking with my kids. He also yelled something to me on our walk back. I wish I had gone and complained. This was the only campground open so we were thankful it was there. Not so sure I would ever go back to it. I posted some photos of the trailers lined up. read more

We enjoyed our experience here. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful especially Britt, Cathy, and Kristin, because we worked with them the more than the others. This place sucks. The epitome of a captured audience. $100 a night (which I understand in high real estate locations) but they don't even try. Dirty nasty bathrooms, only one shower has hot water. I complained directly to front desk staff about maybe at least cleaning the bathrooms and it never changed. They don't care. They are booked solid during season, so take it or leave it. Front cabins look nice and that is obviously where their focus is. read more

I would give this place negative stars if I could! They said they could accommodate our 40ft RV. They shouldn't even offer for RVs to stay there, because the roads and sites are so narrow! We almost weren't able to make it out! The roads were very muddy with lots of potholes. We drove right by it because the sign out front said Fireside instead of Jackson Hole Campground. Tiny sites and dirty bathrooms. Overall a horrible and stressful experience. The only thing going for it was it's proximity to downtown Jackson. read more

The ONLY campground in the Jackson Wyoming area that was prepared and able to assist our family in a delema. We camped at a KOA in Jackson Hole for 5 days with 5 other families (all with their own sites). The day of checkout our truck broke down. Not only were we out a truck for 2 days, we HAD to have our trailer towed to another location because the KOA had no emergency reserve spots. Called Fireside Inn and explained our situation. The manager got on the phone, explained they had emergency reserve sites and could accommodate our trailer. The staff has been absolutely wonderful and helpful. So much more than what I can say about the other place. Site is nice, we have grass and a cozy little fire pit. ALSO more than I can say for the KOA. read more
