As one negative review mentioned, it is set up for kids under age 8 or so, maybe even younger than that. But without a lot of older kids dominating the landscape, the younger kids are free to play. I think it's a positive thing, that it's so centered on the younger kids! I especially appreciate that it is as quiet as possible--no blaring noise from loudspeakers going on, just the noise of children happily playing. I also appreciate that it's not commercialized with lots of Disney characters or other kids' celebrities. Their castle is whatever the child wants it to be--not just a Disney castle. Overall a great place for little ones when it's too hot, windy or cold to go to a park.

It's much smaller than Kids Town, but for my little two year old that was good thing. I was able to hang out in a corner and was able to keep an eye on her the entire time. The price ($4 per kid, no charge for adults) is much more reasonable than Kids Town as well. My kiddo got bored a bit sooner than she would have at Kids Town, but again, not necessarily a bad thing. We spent about 2hrs there and I was certainly ready to go by the time she was. There are a few improvements I would suggest to make this a slightly better experience: 1) There simply MUST be some kind of change with the flooring transition between the "building" room, which is elevated about 3 inches, and the main floor. The flooring is the same color and it's very hard for little kiddos to recognize the drop off. A simple and effective fix would be to put yellow duct tape along the ledge. 2) it needs more (and more comfortable) grown up seating. A great idea would be to add padded benches so kiddos didn't bump their heads on corners 3) It would be really nice to have some kind of climbing/sliding section. A higher end Step2 or Little Tikes climber/slide would do the trick. Just something to help get the wiggles out. At the end of the day though, it's a great addition to Rexburg and we will definitely be going back soon and often.

Five stars for this Visitors Center in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. What's to like? The building is on…read morethe newer side, well-stocked with travel brochures for both Jackson Hole and Yellowstone, has clean restrooms, and is close to the free community parking lot. A special shout out though for the staff member at the counter who was phenomenal in his advice for things to do (and not do) in Jackson Hold, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone -- some of which were hidden treasures that seemed to have been customized to the interests of the specific visitors. (Sorry, we forgot his name but he has been living in the Jackson Hole area for about 7 years, originally from Wisconsin). For instance, he suggested areas where we might find wildlife, and we did indeed see pronghorn antelopes, elk, and herds of bison. And, at his advice, we took Lake Butte Road up to an overview to get a stunning view of Lake Yellowstone in late afternoon. While there, everyone atop was abuzz with the news that traffic was currently delayed by rangers a few miles ahead to allow a grizzly bear to cross the road. (We did see the bear but it but were too far away for a photo).

Yes, there are a handful of interactive areas for kids ranging from "shoot the mammoth" to a separate play area in a section that looks as if you'd lived 100 years ago.
