They got me in with very short notice for the same day, ! I let them know I may need my battery or alternator checked as a few times my car wasn't starting as quickly as before, turned out I would have been stranded on my road trip . They replaced the battery and got my oil changed, tires rotated and found that a mouse had chewed up my cabin filter ..eewww they searched for a coupon for me and applied it to my bill to help elevate some of the cost! Not the same place since Phil left. Casey is trying his best, but this place has gone downhill dramatically in a short period of time. Two hours to get my oil changed with an appointment?? And the price went up 40%! And heaven forbid you have to deal with their billing department! They have our accounts all screwed up and then apply a finance charge because they aren't paid "on time". Kasey gave an estimate, suggested a tire to replace mine which were original from new & no longer available, time needed to get tires in & availability for an appointment. I scheduled for the next week and waited during the appointment for install to be completed. Was finished in record time and price out the door was exactly what estimate said it would be. Last week on my way home from Jackson I stopped at Jackson Tire to have them check my tire pressure. I make sure that the summer and winter pressure is right. Joey who checked the pressure, said it was fine but that I had some hairline cracks appearing due to hot summer weather etc. Last time I got tires at Jackson Tires was around 2012. Asked a lot of questions and had done my homework via Consumer Reports and his recommendations were spot on. The car is a 2002 Toyota Matrix with 66k miles, because we don't drive a lot. But I wanted high quality, affordable tires for the area of the California Sierras we live in. So yesterday I got four new Cooper® ProControl™ tires. and got the BEST price too. After a strange ride through a very narrow road in a cemetery that should have been closed for repair, we came across a fence panel that had fallen over. it was impossible to back up because of tight turns and gravestones, so the only way to go forward was over a fence panel. unfortunately the panel had a nail that stuck in my tire and I was loosing air, which I didn't see till morning. I went to a competitor who made me uncomfortable. I went to jackson Tire and was treated with kindness and compassion. The competitor (Les Schwab) said I needed 4 new tires because of my type of car because the tire couldn't be repaired. he only eyeballed it. No one wants a flat tire on vacation, but we picked up a nail somewhere between Monterey and Angels Camp. First tried Chevron Angels Camp to fix our leaking tire and the rude tech flat out said he didn't have time and he sent us to another tire shop that was of course closed. A local told us Jackson Tire was the best and we drove 30 minutes to get our flat repaired. They really are the best! Great, friendly service and they got us in fast! We were driving our car and heard a noise that suggested we had a screw or nail in a rear tire. We pulled in here and explained our problem. We were told it'd be an 1.5 hrs before they could get to us. Still, the shop foreman/customer service guy came out to look at the car and feel the tires and didn't detect a problem. When we told him we had recently used the parking brake, he suggested we take it somewhere where we could hit the brakes hard a few times. That did the trick!
