Unparalleled customer service. Jackson (who is a young entrepreneur, by the way) and his team are knowledgable and patient, even when they have multiple parties in front of them. The price point is exceptional for the quality of gear you're getting - you can save some money on the skiers or riders at the beginner level or get outfitted with gear suitable for any expert. It's also a fully stocked retail store if you need additional gear/accessories (gloves, goggles, socks, etc). Jackson was even gracious enough to give our beginners some insight and instruction that helped immensely toward their improvement on the slopes and their overall enjoyment throughout the vacation. We showed up with (no reservation!) 6 people of varying ability and they took the time to find the appropriate gear for each person. If you need wide-calf boots - they've got em. If the boots they select initially don't fit just right, they'll take as much time as necessary to find you something that will keep you comfy throughout the day. If you grab a set and find out mid-day that you'd like something else or something needs to change, they'll change it up for you on the fly with enthusiasm and a smile. If your rental car won't accommodate all of your gear to the trip back to the hotel, they'll catalogue and store your gear for multiple days so that all you have to do is show up and your set-up is ready and waiting for you. They're open early and it seems as if this guy never takes a day off! A+ and then some. We'll never rent from anyone else when we're riding Park City. read more

I like others had trusted the various yelp reviews Jackson's Base camp had received. We came in for Christmas week, myself,my wife and my daughter, who was later joined by her boyfriend. We own our own small business in Fl, and we appreciate great service, just as our customers do. We rarely have seen such outstanding service in any business we have used. Jackson personally kitted me out with a great pair of expensive, new Head boots, and great skis.He and his team took time to kit each of us out with the right gear, based on our individual needs. His wife happily took our skis at the end of each day and stored them for us. We each commented on how friendly and helpful all the guys in the store were. Each morning they offered to help put the boots on, and likewise take them off for us at the end of the day! That was fantastic. Jackson, we are coming back to PC in early April. Jackson's Base Camp is the place to be! If you want to be to buy or rent your ski/snowboard equipment or buy ski/board gear at extremely discounted prices you will find no better establishment. It is ran by the owner himself. Mr. Jackson was very helpful and cut through all the BS you get with all of the confusing board and ski packages at other resorts. He made things very simple, gave us a few instructional points and we had a great time learning to snowboard on our own, as opposed to paying over $400+ dollars for lessons. JBC is the absolute best place to rent gear and location is ideal, only a very short walk to the main ski lifts. We were very pleased with the condition of the rented equipment. Top of the line in my book. No junk or partially broken items. JBC is located at Park City Resort which is great for beginners or experts. Go in and tell Mr. Jackson you want to ski or snowboard and within minutes you will be on the slopes having a great time. 5 stars. Can't wait to go back--JDN. read more

My wife and I took a vacation from Jacksonville, FL to Park City, UT with little to no experience snowboarding/skiing. Jackson's Base Camp was unbelievably helpful in educating us on how to use the equipment and where to go on the mountain, and they were very accommodating when my wife switched from snowboarding to skiing in the middle of the vacation. We vacationed with another couple who rented gear from another company in Park City, and they mentioned they paid far more for their equipment and had to wait in long lines to get help. Located at the base of Park City Resort next to the ice skating rink and all the shops, bars, and restaurants, you cannot get a better location, better price, or better gear for your vacation. The best ski rental establishment in Park City, UT! The staff is beyond friendly and they have the best equipment around town. I was able to rent top dollar ski's for CHEAP and could even switch from skis to snowboard on any day / at any time that I wanted to. LISTEN :: Jans is next door (another ski rental company), don't waste your time going there because the equipment at Jans doesn't even compare to the equipment at Jackson Base Camp. This place was the best. Great location near the base of the mountain (next to the skating rink). I had two adults and two first time kids. The entire staff helped us get the right gear for our levels. They encouraged us to check back if anything didn't feel perfect. One of the key points was to be able to drop our stuff off (shoes) at the start of the day and then leave our skis overnight. I couldn't say enough great things about the entire staff. They made a first time ski trip for my kids a great experience. Imagine having a little help getting them ready (putting on boots, etc.). I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I absolutely loved everything about Jackson's Base Camp! My family and I came here the first season he opened. I had an incident with a certain airline losing my luggage, and Jackson introduced himself and hooked it up! Not only did he do a personalized boot fitting and help us pick some SICK demo skis for the week, I was able to rent pants and a helmet until my luggage came in. The customer service and his love for mountain sports was second to none, and got us really pumped for another epic Park City ski week. He really stands out. We just rented equipment from Jackson's for our trip to Park City. Their staff was friendly and helpful. Their equipment was newer and was in great working condition. They also had FREE ski valet on site which was awesome! Jackson and his crew are all top notch and the only place to rent if you're skiing Park City. We cut our vacation short because some of our kids were sick and they allowed us to turn our skis in early and refunded us money for the unused day without even asking for a refund. This was the most amazing ski rental experience that our family has ever had. We loved being in the store and we even felt comfortable enough to laugh and cut up with Jackson. We went into the store with the intention of just renting skis and helmets and we ended up leaving with some awesome sun glasses, a cool looking hat, and some amazing looking masks. These people are the best - sweetest dog and best customer service anywhere! They'll fit you perfectly with skis or a snowboard and you won't beat the price. My dad and I were even able to switch out our skis and boots one day after a big snow at no extra cost. Jackson recommended the switch for a better performance given the changing weather conditions. We just finished a week long rental for 5 ppl at Jackson's Base Camp. The experience could not have been better. The friendly, helpful staff offered help with our boots at the beginning and end of each day, and allowed us to store our boots in the shop. We rented a demo package for our teenage son from Jackson's Base Camp. They were absolutely fantastic. For a tiny bit more than regular rentals at other places, my son got to try out several different skis over the course of 5 days, including wide powder skis when it snowed. The only downside is that he liked the most expensive skis best... If we get back to Park City area, we will definitely rent from them again. read more
