Great experience here. After a quick chat with Chris about what skis I was looking for, he set me up with a pair of Elan Ripsticks that looked brand new. I kept those skis for the duration of my trip but Chris made sure to point out that I could switch them out for others at any point for no extra charge. Rented last week, everything is real good about this place as stated. The biggest advantage is the price is unbeatable, friendly and helpful service. Close to the lift. Two things that kept me from giving it a five. I rented the base package and my ski's didnt seam to glide well, dont know if the waxing wasnt done well or ??. Recommend paying ten dollars more and getting perhaps a better ski. They dont have lockers for your boots, but alot of people go to Legacy and rent locker for ten dollars a day. Perhaps when they move to a larger location next year they could add lockers, that would be great. I will rent again read more

This place is amazing! They offer brand-new top of the line gear for less money than all the other ski rental shops rent their OLD used gear! It's insane. They are family owned and all of the staff are super friendly; it's a fun place to be. One thing I really like about this shop is that they also offer every service such as state of the art tuning, real custom ski boot fitting, the ability to purchase gear that you have rented and like (The discount the purchase too, so I'm paying the same price I would if I waited till summer), etc. I recommend all of my family and friends over to Jackson's. I highly recommend Jackson's Base camp! These guys are wonderful to work with and you can tell they love what they do! Jack son and his Dad were extremely helpful and friendly. We needed to rent everything for our family of six to ski this Thanksgiving week. Much of the gear was brand new or else it was in excellent condition. And the prices were really reasonable! (I had called around before we ended up here). They were patient, easy going and had my 4 kids laughing in the short time we were there. We bought a couple things that we didn't have and their prices were great. Got us in and out quickly, let us store our after ski boots in the store and had easy access from the slopes! We stumbled upon Jackson's our 1st day in Park City & it was our lucky day! Jackson, Paul & the amazing boot helping gal (not to mention the snow eating dog) were so helpful, friendly, & organized I'm the midst of the chaos. I was so happy to be there rather than the resort cattle call rental lines I've experienced in so many places. Best find....heated boots and a heated boot/glove bag which I had to throw in as it was half price with the boot purchase. I Demo'd the boots & have never had a better day on the slopes. I got great service from Jackson's Base Camp. The gear (snowboard and boots) fit well and helped me have a great day on the mountain. The only negative, and this seems to apply to all the snow rental shops at Park City, is that I could not find a price anywhere for my snowboard and boots package. Please advertise your price on the website, or at the very least when I register! I expected a much lower price with the 30% discount than $41, and so what could have been a 5 star rating is only 4. The actual price is less important than ensuring you manage my expectations properly. Having said that, I would go back for the service. read more

Jackson and the staff are incredibly friendly and know how to help you find the right equipment based on your experience. They also let you leave your board/ski overnight if you rent multiple days. Jackson and his crew took great care of us for the weekend. Rented terrific equipment (and immediate care of a binding buckle issue), sold us some necessities from a broad selection at a competitive price, and generally made us feel welcomed. I was very happy with the skis I rented from this nice father and son ski shop. They recently opened and have brand new top of the line skis. I got the demo package and was super happy I did. Also the service was great as they take the time to match you with the right skis for your level and snow. This place lived up to its good reviews. The staff was very nice. Helped us get into our equipment quickly and got us on the slopes. A little hard to find the place because it is actually in the Park City Resort buried in the corner among several other ski shops. Guys directing traffic for parking had no idea where it was. Rented snowboards for the kids, Had the boards for 6 days and kids only rode for 4. Instead of brining them back into the shop they just said to hang on to them. "We'll only charge for the number of days you ride." Really cool and trusting policy. Make your reservations on line to save 30%. The Paul and Jackson father / son duo are really pleasant guys. You can tell they enjoy their business, the people and working together. Our plane arrived late and instead of waiting to get the gear in the morning, they said, "no problem, we'll stick around to get you setup." They stayed 45 minutes after hours waiting for us to get there as quickly as possible. We really appreciated that level of patience and great customer service. The shop is small but very well located near the ice rink at resort center. They had everything we needed and some unique products that perform well and are priced right. The friendliest ski rental place I have been to BY FAR, and I have skied all over (primarily Colorado). Located at base camp in Park City, it is just a short walk up some stairs from their location. They were the most helpful in finding the right skis and boots for two adults and two kids. Free storage, and even got to leave our snow boots under their couch every day. They would even offer to help us put on and take off our boots every day. And prices were very competitive with everyone else (best price that I could find for demo skis). Wish they were available everywhere we went to ski. I would give them 6 stars if possible. read more

I seldom write reviews but Jackson's Base Camp does such a great job, I can't not write one. First, last fall when we were looking to rent lockers for the year, Jackson's had just set up their new locker room. We needed two and with them got 12 demo days with each locker, and as new Parkites needed those demo days and a lot of advice on skis and which ones to purchase. Jackson, Emily and their staff are so welcoming, patient and willing to share their time and expertise--over the first few months of the ski season, they helped us hone in on what skis worked best for us. Second, their prices are very competitive (to date we have bought three pairs of skis, one pair of boots, multiple items of clothing, a ski tune and a ski wax). Third, they have state of the art equipment, such as the Wintersteiger ski tuning machine. Fourth, when you come off the mountain, they are there to help with your skis and boots and it is always service with a smile; not to mention a cup of hot coffee or hot chocolate from Campo's at the end of the day. The lockers are very convenient--no hauling all your gear to and from the car every time you want to pop over to PCMR and get a few runs in. I joke that Jackson's Base Camp is like Cheers, where everybody knows your name! Thanks Jackson, Emily, Bailey, Erin, Trace, Stump, Benjamin, Colby, Kasey and Logan! Just back from a week skiing in PC. Can not say enough about Jackson's Base Camp. The staff is friendly and quite knowledgeable. I looked all over the area for women's expert Demo skis and every place I asked said... "Go to Jackson's". They have gear for all levels and types of skiers, but for this hard charging skier chick, they were the only place that could hook me up! As if that is not enough, his prices also rock! Moved to PC last year and really didn't know anything about skiing. Figured I jump in and purchase some equipment on "before the season sale" but was quickly confused with the endless variety and prices. Found Jackson's on YELP and after a few questions he politely refused to sell me equipment as I had no idea what I wanted or needed. Instead went for rentals, changed items during the season and found the "wow that was fun" combination that I purchased at a great deal. Lot's of places around town that will sell you anything but if you want great service, pricing and most importantly want to be on the mountain having fun quickly...just come here. We rented skis for 8 people from this shop. This was a great experience. The employees were friendly and welcoming -- kept the store open past their 6pm closing time to accommodate some members of our party who were running late. It was also a really quick process. We were in and out in 15 mins. They also have a friendly dog - Harley - wondering the premises, which adds to the friendly, laid-back atmosphere. read more

These guys are the best! First off, we showed up with 10 people about 1/2 hour before closing time on Christmas Eve. (I know, I know. Who does that?) They were great fitting all of the kids with their skis and snowboards. What was really awesome was how patient they were with me and my "condition". (Fat. Fat is my condition.) They must have gotten 10 different boots for me to try on before we found the right ones. And I must say that they were the most comfortable boots I've used in a long time. Well, since I have developed my "condition". But my favorite thing about this place, other than the awesome customer service and the practically brand new gear, is that they let you leave your snow boots there during the day while you are on the mountain and let you leave your gear there at night so that you don't have to lug it back on the bus. I can't begin to tell you what a HUGE convenience this is. Bottom line: These guys are the real deal. 100% will I be back next time we're in Park City! read more

We were most impressed with the staff at Jackson's Base Camp. Knowledgeable, helpful, and always friendly. We skied for 6 days, and did not have one problem with our ski rentals.
