I went today to get gas. I pulled in and only saw self service signs on all 4 islands. So I drove around to the other side and it said full service on all 4 islands. I was really confused. Apparently this older lady was confused as well. She drove around like I did, but then she started backing up to one of the pumps, but she had a hard time. The attendant tried guiding her in. Eventually it was just good enough. I told the attendant that it's confusing. The guy in front of me was facing the same direction I was, but he was pumping his own gas in a clearly marked full service pump. Then it was my turn. I was just hoping that no one would pull in front of me, facing me as the self serve sign would have you do. I just don't understand why they couldn't have 2 islands as self serve and 2 islands as full serve. Confused? Join the club! read more

The convenience store is great, they have the freshest snacks and you can get in and out pretty quickly. It can be a little difficult to find someone at the register sometimes but they are always friendly. I start my day pretty early so they are always open and the layout is nice so I can find what I need. read more

I ran into the store tonight (6/8/23) to grab a drink and a treat to take to a friend's house. The treat was clearly labeled with a price sticker of $2.99 and the 32oz fountain soda is $1.59. The total should have been $4.58. The cashier never said the total, it never showed up on the card reader and I didn't think anything of it and just swiped. Later that evening when I checked my bank app, I saw that I was charged $7.58. Did the cashier not clear the previous customer's order from the register? Where did the extra $3 come from? I wasn't offered a receipt, I don't have a rewards number and it's only $3, but they shouldn't be overcharging people. read more

Update- My original review was 5 stars, but I've been back a few times and I agree with others, some of the staff are pretty miserable. I guess I lucked out the first visit, but I won't be back! Original- I'm really happy I didn't have the bad experiences other customers have had here. I have been to the other Jacksons location (Tanasbourne/185th next to McDonalds, they are the WORST) However, I've only been here once, but luckily it was a very pleasant experience! I wouldn't work for this store or any other one the new manager (Rebecca Ray) is terrible she can't handle the work load employees don't respect her if she thinks your cute she will flirt with you excessively and touch you inappropriately I don't know how she has a job still. And if you don't play her game she will make it to where you don't want to be there anymore they over work their employees and they are under paid to have to work with that poor excuse of a manager the worst part about all this is she has a husband that is disabled and she doesn't even care. Everyone there is really nice and service is good. The only exception: when an older woman named Nancy is working the front counter, there is always a line of 10-15 people out the door. Nancy chats obsessively with customers and is very slow using the register. Many times, people just walk out. Today, I asked her why things are taking so long and she actually suggested I stop coming there, even though I'm a regular (3-4 times per week). I won't be going back for a few months. I really like the staff here, they are always very friendly and talkative. every time I saunter in for a drink or some salty hypertension inducing junk food, the guys at the counter always have an interesting story to pass along. the back entrance (facing away from the Shell Gas) is only unlocked during daytime hours. there's a picnic table!!! perfect for when you grab those hot food items and want to be classy and enjoy them along Cornell Road. read more

An older female cashier yelled at us across the store asking for our ID's before we were ready to make a purchase. She then proceeded with a Spanish Inquisition style address test and threatened to refuse our sale (despite the fact that we all procured our licenses). We explained that two of us also had our OLCC certifications and knew the general process to which she replied 'I know how it works in my store' and threw my ID at me. I've been in customer service my entire working life and can confidently say that the situation she created was laughably unnecessary. Even though the gas prices here are somewhat higher then those of surrounding gas stations, I used to frequent this station a lot. It's right across the street from my apartment. The staff is friendly but very slow. Often I'd be waiting for service while the attendant was smoking a cigarette or talking on their cell phone. I will not go here again. The attendant gave me more gas then I asked for and the owner refused to refund the money. There wasn't enough in my account to cover a fill up, so, I'm gonna get charged fees, and they're gonna get paid. It's a lose lose situation. I understand. It seems convenient, but, the gas station attendant told me that was the third time someone had complained about that that week, meaning it was his fault. I had no idea "five" and "fill" were identical sounding. Any owner who does not put customers ahead of problem employees doesn't deserve my business. I've spent several hundred dollars on gas there in the last year, and I won't spend another dime. I told the owner I wouldn't be back. I'm sure he doesn't care, but, I don't want my integrity questioned, especially when there are a lot of dishonest folks out there. read more

At the Jacksons Store 516 I asked to pump gas for $5.00, (1.6 gallons). I was told to pay inside the small store, which I did. The attendant told me all done. I checked the arrow gage in the SUV, it did not move. I checked the Range, it is still 15 miles, as it was before. I talked to 2 people working at the gas station and told them that gas was not pumped. Maybe pump 5 was not working or calibrated correctly or maybe someone pushed wrong buttons or maybe someone is cheating. I went to a different gas station everything worked correctly. Is there anyway that I could give this place a zero? This place does not deserve even one star! I used to come here because it is directly across the street from my apartment complex. Now I avoid this place like the plague! I mean where do I begin the staff that works here is so unfriendly, ridiculously slow and the manager is quite possibly the worst one here. I mean this guy has no personality whatsoever, I walk up to the counter and he doesn't even acknowledge me just takes my item and scans it, I said hi and looked at him and he didn't even say anything back to me at all, in this economy it makes me wonder how he even got this position! I wouldn't hire this guy for a mop job let alone a general manager of a customer service position. If you plan on getting gas here expect to wait a minimum of 10 to 15 minutes. The gas attendant that works Monday through Friday has to be the slowest person on the face of the earth. I now stop at the Shell station off of Cornelius Pass and baseline. I wanted to exchange my propane tank and the clerk (CLAYTON) told me they were completely out and there's nothing he can do. As I was walking out he started complaining about me to other customers in the store. I went to Walgreens and got another propane tank because they know how to keep it stocked and I went to bring the empty tank back to Shell and CLAYTOM said that he couldn't accept it. He told me that he only does exchanges or new tank sales and that's all. I said since they can't keep their propane stocked, I didn't want to buy propane there and didn't want the empty tank anymore. He started getting very confrontational with me at this point and sarcastic. He started asking the guy in line behind me about my behavior and accused me of slamming the empty tank on the counter. I asked him to let me talk to a manager and he said there wouldn't be one on sight until Monday. I asked to call the manager and he very rudely said he wouldn't for my issue, but then started to force a comment card in my hands and spell his name for me like I was not able to read/write. I said I really didn't want to store an empty tank I'm not going to do anything with and he suggested I store it for 2 days until I can exchange it. Again, his tone and whole demeanor was completely unacceptable. I've never had anyone treat me this way and if this is the type of person they hire for customer service now they just lost a customer permanently. Horrible service, horrible attitude, and all around just horrible. I really didn't want to store a propane tank so I left a comment card of my own. read more

I'll drive a few miles out of my way to go to a jacksons gas station. Every single one I have ever been in is clean and organized and brightly lit. The people that work their are sometimes weird but hey what do you expect...it's a gas station. And the diet mt dew 32 oz is only a buck. read more
