We had five wine and cheese courses, in addition to the introductory wine and cheese to "warm us up." The space is warm and open. Tons of open coolers to check out cheeses and wines after. We paid almost 200 dollars for two people to have wine, cheese, a charcuterie and crusty bread board (optional). So about 100 bucks a person. I thought this was a reasonable value and we had such a great time. Keep in mind, this is was you make of it . . . the more questions you ask, the more you will learn. We learned about politics in cheese, cheese thievery, under-appreciated cheeses that smell like gym socks, but taste like a dream. A very laid back and congenial environment. We definitely plan on returning to shop! And they have a "girl scout and cheese pairing" class every April that I can't wait to try next year! As far as people complaining about parking, not sure what they are talking about. There is a commercial parking lot out front and the first two hours are free.

The cheese was delicious and it was cool to try some new ones I wouldn't normally eat. The wine pairings were delicious, I loved the white wines the best. This is a fun event to do with friends or as a date. You are able to shop from them afterwards as well. Parking is free for 2 hours and there is a large lot and garage.

One of the best breweries we've been to! I absolutely loved…read morethe outside and inside aesthetic. We're big fans of sours and they had a lot to choose from. Nearly every one was one of our favorites- my persona being the key lime pie one! They also had cocktails, food, and seltzers. Had we not eaten before hand we would have loved to try the food as it looked and smelled amazing. We got two flights and tried a variety of their beers. No complaints about any of them, we just prefer the sours! The gentleman behind the bar was nice and helpful, attentive. Right when you walk in they have their to go beers and merchandise. We both got a hat - myself a beanie and my boyfriend got the navy corduroy hat! Great logo and design! We got recommended this place by a lovely couple we met at Southern Collective Brewing and we're glad we listened!

Welcome to the neighborhood XUL! What once was Southern Grist, has recently underwent a rebrand to…read moreXUL. The core of the beer is still there, but the vibes and a few of the beers are a bit different. This taproom, near the corner of 51st and Centennial, is a small, but mighty space featuring a cozy and vibey inside and a nice patio. Both spaces are outfitted with a variety of seating from standard to cozy to bar stools and high tops. We have enjoyed drinks here on a few occasions since the rebrand and somehow the PB&J Mixtape always ends up in at least one of our hands! Majority of their beers lean fruit forward, but hey also have a few hoppy beers, and of course a couple of light and dark options. I go between something light and dark, and really enjoyed the Chop It Up, which is a house ale. Definitely will be my go-to here! In addition to all the goods on tap, they have a good variety of merch and canned beers that you can mix and match, or take a set of home. Service is solid, slightly hit and miss depending on the bartender. Some engage a bit more with you, especially if you are asking about the menu, others are a bit quick and want to keep things moving, which I can understand. The space is well laid out, but due its size, the front end can get backed up pretty easily as the ordering station is near the front of the bar, which is only a few feet from the entry door. So, be mindful when coming in. Even with lines, they move pretty quick, so never an issue beyond the initial back up. Overall, cool space, nice rebrand and a great spot for a good beer in The Nations!

They were honest and truthful on whether a bottle is worth 20 dollars more than its "lesser" brother. Will come back here just to chat with them. When I first came in, they weren't overly welcoming. But as soon as I asked their advice, they were all jolly and happy. Thanks for the great sharing of knowledge! Also, they have a great selection and had the Jack Daniels Gold I have been looking for!

i quite like this wine and liquor store. i have been here many many times as it is on my way home…read more I have shopped both wine and liquor. The carry my favorite red wine at a decent price which is Jean Boscuet Malbec from Argentina. I have also been here to shop for margarita ingredients and the stuff was pretty helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They recently recommended that I buy El Mayor reposado tequila instead of Reposado Patron because it was much cheaper at a comparable quality and it turns out the guy was right. I was happy with my substitution. I usually don't ask the stuff to make wine recommendations as I don't trust them, and i believe I know way more about wine then they do but one of my friends have old me that he has got good recommendations from the stuff in this particular location. I am pretty happy with this place but i give them 4 stars because of their prices. The liquor and wines are not priced competitively. I have seen the same wine sold for cheaper at other locations. But hey, think about it, who's concerned about prices at Bell Meade !!!
