We came here for a cheese and wine class and had a blast! Their head cheesemonger is entertaining…read moreand knowledgeable. They also had a local wine rep to educate us about the wine. We had five wine and cheese courses, in addition to the introductory wine and cheese to "warm us up." The space is warm and open. Tons of open coolers to check out cheeses and wines after. We paid almost 200 dollars for two people to have wine, cheese, a charcuterie and crusty bread board (optional). So about 100 bucks a person. I thought this was a reasonable value and we had such a great time. Keep in mind, this is was you make of it . . . the more questions you ask, the more you will learn. We learned about politics in cheese, cheese thievery, under-appreciated cheeses that smell like gym socks, but taste like a dream. A very laid back and congenial environment. We definitely plan on returning to shop! And they have a "girl scout and cheese pairing" class every April that I can't wait to try next year! As far as people complaining about parking, not sure what they are talking about. There is a commercial parking lot out front and the first two hours are free.

I found Grey's online after wanting to find a local cheese shop that might have some options that…read moreare not available at the grocery store. I was excited to see the shop and was very interested in purchasing some cheese. My husband and I drove 45 minutes from across town to visit the shop. It also happened to be the Friday after the large ice storm we recently had, so we were happy to be able to support a local business after they had to close for a few days due to the weather. Upon arriving, we parked in the garage and walked around for a good ten minutes trying to find the shop. There is no good signage to show you exactly where the shop is, and walking around in 25-degree weather trying to find it was frustrating and we almost left. We finally found it, and upon walking inside, it was a warm and inviting space. There were two employees in the shop/restaurant area - one was helping a customer at the register and the other was talking to a friend/customer from behind the cheese counter. We were looking at the wall of non-cheese items, which seemed like a nice selection of crackers, mustards, honeys, and other accompaniments you could purchase. We walked up to the cheese counter and started looking at the cheese in the refrigerated display. We went back and forth between picking up cheese to see what it was and patiently looking up to wait for someone to acknowledge/help us. While we stood there, another employee came out from the back of the restaurant to bring samples of cheese to the customer at the register and promptly went back into the kitchen. The friend/customer of the other employee left, and the second employee that had been behind the counter moved out into the restaurant and started wiping empty tables. At this point, we had probably been in the shop for a good ten minutes. None of the employees acknowledged we were there, not even to say they would be with us shortly or to offer a hello. At this point I was frustrated, so we left to go to the bathroom in the hallway and didn't go back in. I'm not sure if we weren't "hip" enough for them to even say hello to, if we didn't look the part or what, but being completely ignored in a tiny shop for over ten minutes was beyond rude. I was so excited to visit this shop, but the experience left a bad taste in our mouths. As they say, "you never get a second chance to make a first impression", so we will find other places to spend our money.

One of the best breweries we've been to! I absolutely loved…read morethe outside and inside aesthetic. We're big fans of sours and they had a lot to choose from. Nearly every one was one of our favorites- my persona being the key lime pie one! They also had cocktails, food, and seltzers. Had we not eaten before hand we would have loved to try the food as it looked and smelled amazing. We got two flights and tried a variety of their beers. No complaints about any of them, we just prefer the sours! The gentleman behind the bar was nice and helpful, attentive. Right when you walk in they have their to go beers and merchandise. We both got a hat - myself a beanie and my boyfriend got the navy corduroy hat! Great logo and design! We got recommended this place by a lovely couple we met at Southern Collective Brewing and we're glad we listened!

Which was perfectly fine with us because we had to watch our time because we had a wedding to get to.

The two gentlemen…read morein the shop got right behind the tasting bar and chatted like we were old buddies while showing us the differences in the liquor. They were honest and truthful on whether a bottle is worth 20 dollars more than its "lesser" brother. Will come back here just to chat with them. When I first came in, they weren't overly welcoming. But as soon as I asked their advice, they were all jolly and happy. Thanks for the great sharing of knowledge! Also, they have a great selection and had the Jack Daniels Gold I have been looking for!

i quite like this wine and liquor store. i have been here many many times as it is on my way home…read more I have shopped both wine and liquor. The carry my favorite red wine at a decent price which is Jean Boscuet Malbec from Argentina. I have also been here to shop for margarita ingredients and the stuff was pretty helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They recently recommended that I buy El Mayor reposado tequila instead of Reposado Patron because it was much cheaper at a comparable quality and it turns out the guy was right. I was happy with my substitution. I usually don't ask the stuff to make wine recommendations as I don't trust them, and i believe I know way more about wine then they do but one of my friends have old me that he has got good recommendations from the stuff in this particular location. I am pretty happy with this place but i give them 4 stars because of their prices. The liquor and wines are not priced competitively. I have seen the same wine sold for cheaper at other locations. But hey, think about it, who's concerned about prices at Bell Meade !!!
